To be honest, I'm not really sure why he has good reviews. Maybe these people don't have complex health issues. I saw him once and he was okay about a basic condition, but as I went in today for a more complex issue that has been going on for years and years, he immediately dismissed me with the "I'm a medical doctor so I know more than you do than you do your own body" attitude, so I challenged him on it. I'm not stupid, so please don't treat me as such and refuse to refer me elsewhere.

He was the worst Dr. I ever met. Needless to say I left. Nasty. He did not even know my problems.

I've been seeing Dr. Carlson for close to 10 years. He is friendly and compassionate. He listens to my concerns and when he responds, he goes into great detail--more than any other doctor I've had. My only issue is that I get UTI's with some frequency. Treatment requires an office visit and usually takes 2-3 days to get an appointment. I'm usually referred to the immediate care. This is not a reflection on Dr. Carlson, just a policy with the Advocate group.

I was referred to Dr. Carlson over 20 years ago by a number of colleagues and friends who see him as well. My wife and children also see Dr. Carlson. Dr. Carlson is a good listener and thorough in his examinations. Dr. Carlson and his staff have always been there for my family especially during difficult times. Recently, my wife and I had to take our daughter to Luries Children Hospital in Chicago. He was instrumental in helping us get connected with specialist who could help my daughter.

If zero stars were an option that's what I would have selected. He was incredibly rude, condescending, and demeaning.

Dr Carlson speaks with you on your level... some doctors try to impress you with big words... he explains the meds he prescribes... he found the right combination to control my diabetes...

Very rude. Talked down to me as if I were a child Not very professional.
