Not much wait time. Dr and nurse were patient and explained things in a way I could understand

He was thorough and offered many possibilities.

I saw Dr Welsh he then ordered an MRI. It took two weeks to get an MRI. It's been almost a week my results are in my chart and have been since the day i got my MRI but his office still hasn't called to give me my results. Why do I have to call and ask for them? My next appointment also isn't until June which is concerning.

Dr. Welch is very friendly and listens well to our information.

Nurse Victoria was very friendly. Dr. Welch is great.

Sharing this review for my wife: Dr. Welch was very kind, listened well, and considered the specifics of her case before recommending a tailored course of action. He seemed very knowledgeable and up-to-date about intersections of his field with others. A good experience, all around.

I have good and not so good things to say about Dr Welch. He has helped me tremendously with my leg issues. The time spent with him is very short and not informative though.

Took several months before I got an appointment, but once I met with Dr. Welch all was good. The office wait was minimal, the staff was professional and courteous. Dr. Welch was attentive and patient with my questions.

I have been seen a couple of times by Dr. Wade. I also was referred for MRI's. At this point, my condition has not changed. He upped my medication slightly and there are no serious diagnoses or conditions. I will see him in the summer and I am grateful that I can see a neurologist and be monitored.

Dr. Welch has been very helpful to me and I am grateful. I sure hope that I can get back to taking Imuran but so far I haven't heard anything. I am still at St. Francis I.C.U. Hoping for the best. It is discouraging.

I had some trouble at the doctor's office I fainted and they were very kind to me they help me a lot and they gave me something to drink and they had me sit for a while and they checked on me frequently and they walk me to the elevator to make sure I was okay I can't say enough about the help I received it was wonderful

I can't explain all of the poor reviews except that they were from some time before. I recently saw him and his staff both were wonderful to me. I don't know if there has been a change of staff or training was provided either way things we smoothly for me and i would recommend highly any day of the week to anyone who will listen. One of the best doctors I have seen in a long time and I have many chronic issues so I see lots of doctors. See him you will find things have changed greatly for the better.

Very pleased with Dr Welch. Gave me lots of information and answered all my questions.

I have been a patient of Dr. Welch since 2015. He was able to diagnose me the first day with a rare disease called CIDP. Since then and to this day I have an all day infusion every 3 weeks which keeps me going even with the symptoms I have. I feel very blessed that Dr. Welch is my Neurologist.

The staff at Dr. Welch's practice are always courteous and timely. They take the time to listen to what I have to say and explain the procedures they are planning to use. Possible treatments are also explained in detail and I am included in the decision making process. I would recommend Dr. Welch and his practice.

My niece was in there today because she has been having back to back seizures. She has had several conversations with the office when she was setting it up because she has no insurance so it was established she needed a 100.oo copay to see the DR. she goes in and the Dr. took her 100.00 (which we had to scrape together) and told her sorry I can't do ANYTHING for you, you don't have any insurance. She needs a Dr. but it won't be him when her insurance kicks in. My niece was in there today because she has been having back to back seizures. This office is still unacceptably bad at returning phone calls (see other reviews). My dad left a message for them on Friday morning b/c his blood pressure was too high. It is now Monday at 3:00 and there still has been no return call. He started a new medication 2 weeks ago and thought it was the medicine, but wanted to check in with the doc for advice. This was the 2nd time he'd needed to call with an issue most likely related to this medicine. His first call was not returned within 24 hours (during a business week) either. Since Dr. Welch's office was so busy/apathetic/understaffed/lazy/etc. to respond to their 82-year old patient, my mom & dad had to mask up and go to a minor med place. Very friendly staff, helped me tremendously with my chronic illness.

Went to Dr. Welch one time. He he had me to cold turkey off 699 MG of gabapention . I said oh I should. Not do that. He insisted.. well I did and have been I'll every since. Called 3 times on 2 days. No return call till 3 days later. I called for help to another dr.. I will never go back there again.

I realize everyone's experience can be different. However, I do not understand some of the reviews regarding Dr Wade Welch and his staff. They have always treated me and my concerns with the highest level of compassion, care, and professionalism. They have helped me achieve results in my treatment no one else has since Dr Joseph Sargent retired from the Migraine Clinic at Mennigers years ago. I have never had to wait of more than a few minutes in the waiting room or otherwise. Without hesitation. I'd recommend him to my closest family and friends.

Do not give this clown the time or your money, rude and unprofessional at every turn. He told myself why am even here and refered myself back to my family MD. This guy is a crook looking to steal you're hard earned cash. The staff nurse had the personality of a paper bag. Buyers beware of this thief. Dingy dirty office should have been a clue to equal the service.

Never got to actually see the doctor as we were literally 1 MINUTE past their 15 minutes rule. It didn't matter that we had trouble finding the place and took forever to find a parking space, staff didn't care. As a patient have you ever had to wait more than 15 minutes to see the doctor for your scheduled appointment? YES. The staff was rude and indifferent. What makes it even more disturbing is the fact there was absolutely no one in the waiting room. I waited a while to see if I would calm down before writing this, but that's not happening. Nice guy, terrible doctor. Staff is deplorable and indifferent at best. They offer excuses and misinformation, not answers. Well over a month ago, my wife was hospitalized for a severe seizure. Still waiting on EEG results to this day. MRI still has not been reviewed, even though the results were posted on her My Chart 2 days later. My wife cannot drive or go to work until she is cleared; so essentially, our lives are being held hostage at this do-nothing doctor's whim. So rather than reviewing any of these findings and doing his job, he prescribes her one random epilepsy medication after another without seeing her, over the phone, (being handled buy some receptionist) all of which have adverse effects on her and they're making her problems worse. This lackadaisical armchair medicine seems to be grounds for malpractice. For someone who makes exorbitant amounts of money off of human suffering, it sure seems like he could really care less. It took many, many appointments with Dr. Welch to get information that I actually needed. It took one appointment with Dr. Huang at Cotton O'Neil neurology to get information that was withheld from me and Dr. Huang couldn't have been more direct and honest. I will no longer seeing Dr. Welch.

Dr. Welch takes the time to explain what is happening and always put patients first. Best Neurologist I know!

Dr Welch has treated me for 6 years and I am very happy with my treatment. He's friendly and professional and really listens. He is very knowledgeable but his nurses never call back and he diagnosed me then walked out along with the nurse

*First post was a couple years ago. Last few times that I have been it has been a much better experience. In and out in approximately 40 minutes. Always a terribly long wait even though they set a time for me to be here. Spend about an hour in the waiting room. I liked Dr. Welch a great deal. He was the one who finally took me seriously and was able and willing to order tests that no one else has been willing to do. It was his staff that I had major issues with. It was difficult to get through and confusing. Many times I had to leave multiple messages for follow through and it rarely got done. It was usually some triage nurse that did not know me. Often the staff would say that is not my job, I am just the secretary and tell me to call another number.

After the nightmare of dealing with Dr. Kumar, Dr. Welch was incredible. His staff was very informative and they all had great attitudes. Dr. Welch explained everything, made sure I understood, and great bedside manner. So glad I decided to give him a try. And I finally have ANSWERS!!

Are experience on the 4 times we went to his office was very poor. Our average wait time was 45 minutes after our appointed time. On our third visit we were his first patient at 8:30 in the morning and we did not see him until 9:20. We were in the reception area and we heard one of the secretaries say at 9:00 that he wasn't even there yet! That is not professional.

My husband and I met with Dr. Welch today at Wamego Hospital for a 2nd opinion for my husband who had been diagnosed previously with demencia with onset of alzheimers at another facility. We just were not comfortable with that diagnosis so our PCP recommended Dr. Welch. The testing that was done had never been done before. Dr. Welch was very easy to talk to as well as his nurse. We are comfortable with the diagnoses and glad we are now a patient of Dr. Welch.
