I personally have not seen this physician, but he is the physician of a family member, and it has come to my attention that he has a terrible bedside manner and lacks care, for not only his patient but for the family members involved. As he was to preform a procedure called flex sigmoidoscopy, to determine the possibility of cancer, he vacated the procedure, claiming that the colon was packed with stool, and he was unable to complete the procedure. Prior to this procedure he had not ordered a complete cleanse to be done, which #1 is the physician's responsibility; as the patient nor the family knows the "prep-procedures" to be done, unless told by a physician. #2 PRIOR to the procedure, there should have been an exam/ultrasound completed to determine if the colon was completely clear, and if not that the procedure should have been postponed, rather than putting the patient in extreme distress. #3 Since the flex sig had been started, why did the physician not offer or attempt a colon flush during the procedure? #4 When speaking to the family, in regards the patient conditions and possibility of cancer concerns, this Dr Vu Le dismisses ordering a complete cleanse for a re-attempt of this procedure, and per the request from the family caretaker, they ask for a complete colon cleanse, requesting it be done at the hospital, which this Dr refused and stated to purchase a commode instead. #5 Dr Vu Le dismisses the patient and the care or treatments that could be offered, should there be cancer found, but instead states that because the patient is 84 years old, they will have a good 4 or 5 years left to live, potentially, so really nothing needs to happen. Dr Vu Le still receives a paycheck and the medical bills still get paid, including a partial procedure, that could have been postponed due to the lack of proper preparations that should have been given to the family caretaker, by the physician. Dr Vu Le has determined for himself that if you are the age of 84, whether or not you have cancer, you will still have a few years left so really nothing needs to be done. You are dismissed!

Went in for a colonoscopy. I had a nice hour long nap while I waited for Dr. to get to me. When the time came for the procedure, he rolled me into a room and told me "You'll get sleepy now." Then he put a probe up my butt and cut out a bunch of pieces. I did not get the slightest bit sleepy. Instead, I was wide awake throughout the procedure and I watched on the screen in front of me. When I said "What the hell is that?" he didn't ask if was ok or administer any sedation. He just let me lay there and watch, in spite of the expectations his staff had set and he had just reiterated. When he was done, he told me point blank the tumors were not cancerous and sped out of the room. I didn't even get to ask if they had caused the original condition I was complaining of. The nurse brought me some handouts and I escorted myself out. I don't know why my friend wasted a sick day. I don't know why Yakima GI treats people like animals--like we don't deserve the right to consensual care. I don't know why Dr. Le would not notice or care that I did not get sleepy as he had said I would. I helped my mom died of colon cancer earlier this year. It was NOT an easy thing for me to come in and do the screening at all. I was terrified, and Dr. Le completely violated the trust I put in him and his team. The only thing that was going to make it ok was that I wouldn't have to remember it. This is no way to get people to come in for preventive care. I suppose it's efficiency, from Dr.'s point of view. From a patient's perspective, it's just another lie someone before trust was violated and harm was caused. It has taken me days to recover from the shock of what happened and didn't happen in that room. My friends describe the scene as "comically rapey." That's not how I'd want to be known if I were a doctor. If it's not going to happen, why say it is? That's a terrible, terrible way to manage patient expectations. When you're probing someone's holes, maybe try and treat them with a little dignity. I thought doctors and nurses knew that.

I think he’s great. He considers the whole patient, not just his specialty.

Last year was my first visit and procedures done by Dr. Le. I was very happy with the time he takes to explain all findings and explain what I can do to help with my condition. After my return visit today, I once again confirm that this Dr. is very interested in his patients. He asks questions and also explains what is going on with your situation. A great Dr.
