Dr. Vincent Paul Vissichelli

My 13 year old daughter has been seeing Dr V since she was 18 months old when she had an emergency and needed immediate dental care. Every visit is always wonderful. We can’t say enough about Dr. V. His staff is always friendly and explain procedures and expectations well. They are also open to answering any questions I may have. We love Dr V!

This office was very friendly staff and only treated my children teeth with things they needed, I almost had unnecessary work done and their previous peds dentistry in this area. So glad I switch to firehouse!

Dr. Vissichelli and his assistant did a wonderful job with my 4 year old. My son has Autism and they cleaned his teeth in a calm, gentle and fast way!

My son is 2 and this was our first visit. Me as a first time mom and he as a first time anything dental. The hygienist let him roam the room and explore. He got nervous because he recently received shots and he knows an exam room when he sees one. He got to choose a show to watch. They gave me a choice to do a cleaning on the first visit. I chose to go for it. He wasn’t a fan but at least she was quick. She then won him over with a ball and a hat. Dr. V then came in and they spoke about Mickey Mouse before the final exam. He cried but not too bad. The coin machine was awesome. He loved choosing his prize. It’s those happy moments he is going to remember.

My son and I had a horrible experience at this dentist office. He is four years old & autistic. They are not equipped to handle patients with serve autism. My poor son was traumatized and cried the entire ride home. I do not recommend them at all. If I could give this zero stars I would.

Dr. V was so great with my son (8)today, and at our initial visit. We just switched to Firehouse Kids recently and we love it. Today we were there for fillings. Dr V’s staff was so calming and patient with my son, especially his tech today- name started with an M. She had us both smiling and understanding of what needed to be done.

My son had his first visit today and I couldn’t be more thankful for the wonderful staff. Thank you Britta and front desk team for making appointment scheduling and check in process easy. We love firehouse dentist. It’s decorated so cute and fun, the staff is so friendly, the hygienists are amazing and so good with kids, and the dentist himself does a great job of informing parents of what they need to know.

I went in on a stormy afternoon after a forty minute drive and was told by the receptionist that I wouldn’t be able to be seen because my daughter coughed a few times at reception. (She was wearing a mask) My daughter is not sick and doesn’t have a cough; I think she just had something in her throat. I gave her a sip of water and she never coughed again. The receptionist was not very nice about it. I completely understood the cautionary steps but the receptionist was (in my opinion) a bit rude and condescending. Fortunately, I was able to speak with the dentist who said the same things as the receptionist, but was kinder and easier to talk to. I was grateful he allowed us to continue with our appointment. The technical staff was great and the receptionist who checked us out was also pleasant. We had a rough start to our visit but it ended well.

My child has a sensory processing disorder and had her first visit today. The hygienist was WONDERFUL with her and she was able to get her teeth cleaned and checked. The dentist was very professional and both were understanding of her needs. I would definitely recommend them to others.

I found this establishment about 2 year's ago. When we first started going my daughter had very high stress level when visiting dentist. But this place has eased all of her fears and they are just amazing people. 10 out of 10 for my family.

Oh my goodness...front desk so extremely pleasant...Ms. Marsha, great with kids...superstar and patient...Dr. Vissichelli, thank you for being proactive and seeing my son’s dental needs...Ms. Jessica superstar pleasant...There was just one person who wrecked the entire positive and courteous vibe. The office manager Brit with red hair. My kids had gotten a token and proceeded to focus more on the treat then having there mask on. So it slipped off. She proceeded to speak harshly her tone was so abrasive as if she was talking to animal. She needs to watch her tone in how she talks to people, very rude. Other kids didn’t have on their mask...wonder why mine were singled out, I pray that skin didn’t come into play. I just don’t do well with rude people. But other than that I give it a 4 instead of 5. People like that.....what goes around comes around!

Late on the evening of 8 May 2020 my daughter noticed that her spacer was coming out and it was broken on one side. Since the dental office is closed due to the current situation with the corona virus, I wasn’t sure if anything could be done at this time. I contacted Dr. Vissichelli first thing the next morning (which was a Saturday) through his after hours service and left a message explaining the problem. He returned my call immediately and told me to bring my daughter into the office. He fixed my daughter’s spacer and we were out of the office in less than 30 minutes. Dr. Vincent Vissichelli is an AMAZING orthodontist and my daughter LOVES him! I appreciate his bedside manner and for always showing care and concern for my daughter and other children as well. Thank you Dr. Vissichelli for taking time away from your family on a Saturday during this pandemic to take care of my daughter and thanks to your lovely wife for being there as well. God bless you!

My daughter was complaining of a tooth ache for a few days. I sent them an email and they immediately called me and set up an appointment for the next day. She picked out her flavor gas and the baby tooth was pulled and she doesn’t remember a thing except that she loves Mr. Dentist! This is an awesome office and highly recommend it!

I visited for my son's toothache. We were treated kindly and with respect. The entire staff was friendly and gentle with my son and myself. The dentist shows he cares and tried to make the whole ordeal as fun and gentle as possible. My son was afraid, but he handled it well, thanks to the caring staff. My 8 yr old daughter gets very nervous at the dentist office and won’t even open her mouth but she actually relaxed allowed them to do an exam take x-rays and put a crown on and said it was the best dentist she’s ever had!!! Marsha and Dr. V were amazing!!!

2nd time today I was invited to leave a review, so I feel terrible avoiding this. Crying kid, sleepless night, until ibuprofen, definitely feels like the end of the world. My panicked morning call resulted in an afternoon appointment. With toddlers in tow, they were gracious enough to give my son the room within view from the waiting room. Dr. V even gave me a thumbs up to reassure me that all was well. You simply cant get better than this. I generally believe positive reviews are left by their friends, but I don’t know them at all and we were treated like long-time customers; borderline family.

Doc said he wouldn't pull them just to let them fall out. Well the top one finally came out now his teeth are crukid. Went to try and make an appointment this morning. The one who is always answering the phone or calling for appointment reminders Apparently needs a new job. Because i told her the issue and told her i was a bit skeptical about making an appointment and her response was " well if your already skeptical about coming back then the doctor would prefer you to go somewhere else". Are you kidding me your job is to take appointments. I really hope this doctor replaces her soon. She is running people away from even coming in.

Honestly, if I didn’t have prior dental knowledge I still would have completely understood everything! The DA explained everything so awesome and made sure we understood and the dentist was so nice and made sure we understood also!! Amazing environment!

I reside in Hope Mills, and yes I never mind driving to Spring Lake because of the amazing treatment that my children receive. I have four children that receive dental care from Dr. Vissichelli. My third child was born with a congenital heart defect, and the staff sends me a text before his visit reminding me to give him the pre-med antibiotic before his dental appointment. They are very attentive to this matter with the front desk staff asking when we check-in, and it is followed up by the dental assistant confirming it before he has any dental procedures done at every visit. Dr. Vissichelli is amazing with children! He is patient, kind, friendly and professional. I want to thank Marlene for taking amazing care of my heart "baby" this week, he is actually 6 years old. She explained the dental tools and what they do in a way that a child could understand. She is great at what she does! He felt no pain, he still talks about feeling no pain, and even thinks that Dr. Vissichelli didn't use a dental drill to get rid of the "sugar bugs"(cavities). The children seem to never notice when Dr. Vissichelli is administering the local anesthetic needle. If you have not found, or are still looking for a professional Dentist and staff for your child that is not only proficient but cares about what they do, then look no more because Firehouse Dentistry is that and more. We were referred to the firehouse dentistry from our local place. We rode an hour to get to the Firehouse and we do not regret it. They took into account how long we drove to reach their office and did everything they could the same day. They were super friendly and they're timely manner was excellent. It went by fast and my 8 year old didnt complain at all. Their office is very clean and organized. They provide toys and books to keep children entertained in the waiting area. This place is amazing! Definitely recommend!

I scheduled my son because we were referred there by his dentist for a filling he needed in two teeth. I’m glad that Firehouse Dentistry was the one that was recommended. I couldn’t remember my son primary dental office but they took the time to call and find which office it was. The appointment went great. I like them so much I scheduled my daughter for a cleaning. Her appointment went great as well. The dentist assistant was very helpful with suggested things pertaining to my daughters teeth. She was great. The receptionist was great with checking in and out. If the dentist was great for both visits. I recommend Firehouse Dentistry for anyone to make this there children’s dental home. Firehouse Dentistry exemplifies what costumer service and general caring is all about.

The ladies at the front desk are EXCEPTIONAL. The Dental hygienist are EXCEPTIONAL. The Dr himself is EXCEPTIONAL!!!! I came relocated to NC from Wilmington, DE and my 3 year old has been going to the dentist since 6 mos old and he had these spots on his teeth that I was worried about. They assured me it wasn’t decay at EVERY visit I brought it up and low and behold here he is at 3 and they were DEFINITELY decaying. Once we got to NC I found this practice and I am very happy with the service. They actually cleaned my sons teeth for the first time (mind you he’s been going since 6months of age) and they did so with ease. They made him feel safe enough to allow them to do what they had to do. He even had caps places on his teeth that were indeed decaying and that procedure went well also. They do an exceptional job keeping you informed about appts and the procedure process. No complaints here. Number one rated!!!!!! I am one happy parent

My son is very high fear of the dentist and we went for dental work and NOTHING....not even a hesitation, whine, getting out of the seat....he sat calmly the whole time for the first time in 9 years!!!!! Went To Firehouse for my daughters first visit to the dentist and are SO impressed. Everyone in the office was so nice and welcoming. The hygienist and Dentist both were phenomenal at helping my daughter not to be scared. The entire experience was wonderful and my daughter (3years) is actually asking to go back to the Dentist! Highly Recommend for your little ones!

I think the staff here rocks! They treated my baby with deep respect, calmed her fears and were very patient. They are wayyyyyyyy better than day and night family dental where the pediatric dentist Dr Chengas was a pompous prick and talks to you in a demeaning tone. I would highly recommend!

Dr. V is fantastic. The dental assistant, on the other hand, was rude and overall mean to my son. He’s 7. He’s going to talk and move around a little. If she thinks that children are going to be perfect patients who sit quietly and unhinge their jaws on command to open “wider” for her to brush their teeth, then she’s sadly mistaken. She’ll never touch my child again.

I have two kids and it was one of their first dentist visits. They were so kind and patient with both of them. They called me back on time so it was great not waiting for 30 minutes past my appointment like I’m the doctors office. The tech was very sweet, answered all my questions and was very personable. First and foremost, my son WANTS to go to the dentist because of Firehouse! That alone gets 5 stars! From the moment you walk in the door you feel welcomed and comfortable. The staff is extraordinary! They are kind, comforting, empathetic, and understanding. They have industry leading equipment and protocols, which makes for swift and extremely thorough visits. They accept most insurance and when I opted for something our insurance didn’t cover, the out of pocket fees were extremely responsible. I actually asked if they made a mistake on the treatment plan. So glad we found firehouse. Firehouse makes being a momma a whole lot easier. No more empty threats or lies to get my little guy to go willingly!

I love this office. The staff (Maddie in the front) and the dentist are ALWAYS so pleasant. I drive from Boone which is a 3.5 hour commute (One way) to come to this dentist. You can’t put a price or amount of time on the provider you trust with your child. I highly recommend!

We’ve been regulars at Firehouse for years. The staff are all so kind and knowledgeable. The office is clean. It’s an all around good experience. The only thing I would change is that they would do away with the plastic fire hats at the end of the visit. I know it makes some children happy, but it’s wasteful. My kids used to get them and they’d be cracked by the next day. Which is expected, just an unnecessary waste in my opinion. However, I do appreciate that this last time we went the receptionist asked first if they wanted hats as opposed to how they used to just hand them to us. We love firehouse!

We have been coming to the Firehouse Dentist Office for about 4 years and have always had a wonderful experience. The waiting area is great, the tokens and prize wall are something the kids look forward to, and the hygienists and of course, Dr. Vissichelli, are all wonderful with kids. In the past we have always been able to have all of the kids teeth cleaned back to back in the same room and the dentist just comes in to check as each child's teeth are finished. This time we were booked for 3 back to back appointments starting at 10:30, 11:00, and 11:30 and instead of being in the same room, one child was taken for x-rays while another had his teeth cleaned down the hall...all of my kids want me to be with them so it was difficult to juggle them all. After 2 out of 3 cleanings and exams were finished we were asked to go wait in the waiting room for the final appointment. We waited for 30 minutes or longer (it was after noon) before we were finally called back again. I still love this dentist office, but honestly I don't understand why it has to be so inefficient and difficult for one parent to bring 3 small kids--do they not deal with families with multiple kids very much? Why in the world shuffle us around between multiple hygienists and rooms? Even if the equipment needed to be cleaned between children, wouldn't it make more sense to keep them in the same room while everything was set up for the next child? Moving kids around from room to room is a bit like herding cats...and after over 2 hours at the dentist's office its like herding hungry cats who have to go potty...

You guys are amazing. It was my daughter’s first time there and we previously went to another dentist in the past and I think Firehouse Kids Dentistry will be our permanent place for dentistry. You guys made her very comfortable and she left smiling ear to ear. The environment also made her really happy and she was able to play while she waited.

The firehouse dental office is it a great atmosphere and environment for children who may be apprehensive of dental or doctors appointments. The facility is well-maintained lots of visually stimulating, fun, and entertaining accents. The staff was phenomenal. They made my children feel at ease and we’re extremely professional and courteous. Being a military family we have experienced many dental facilities, and this one is definitely at the top of our list.

Today, my son who just turned 4 yesterday, had to have sealants put on his teeth. He was so scared when we first walked in, he started crying. The assistant was so amazing and thoughtful with him! She talked to him in a calm way and explained everything that was going no to happen in a way he would understand. He calmed right down and was fine for the rest of the procedure. The dentist came in and everything went so smoothly between the assistant and the dentist. They worked quick, and their energy kept my son calm while it wasn’t happening. It wasn’t amazing! I wish they accepted adult patients, I would be there so quick! Every time we go we have an amazing experience! I love this dentistry!

I took my nephew, it was his very first time ever to the dentist. He is 2 years old and they handled him with care and class. They know what they are doing. The only waiting I had to do while there was filing out the new patient paperwork, they called us to the back before I could Even finish it lol. They gave my nephew a coin to put into there treat machines, and that was so cool. The place was clean and kid friendly with toys and such. I would highly recommend FireHouse Dentist.

We have an autistic 5 yr old boy who can be a real challenge. Since he's sensitive to sound they always provide ear plugs for him so he doesn't have to hold his hand over his ears the whole time. They are completely unfazed by the shrieking/screaming when he has a bit of a meltdown when he starts getting overwhelmed, they take the time to talk to him soothingly and keep working as if nothing unusal is going on. So much patience on the entire staffs part, we really appreciate it. Our 3 yr old little girl gets very nervous and they put her right at ease and even get her laughing and relaxing. I recommend them to everyone who asks me if I know a good pediatric dentist!! They needed some dental surgery, much easier to do that way with the autistic one for sure, and they brought them each a stuffed animal to hold and keep. They go that extra step to make sure your child has as pleasant experience as possible.

My son went to the room by himself this is HUGE for us, I usually have to peel him off of me anytime we have to separate. I didn’t catch the name of the nurse who took him but she even spoke gently she was so kind and be gentle with my son he came out without a concern this sparked my heart with joy. My daughter had a terrific experience this time around, Ms Magdalaina was very kind to my daughter who has extreme anxiety when it comes to the dentist, just on the drive in, she was tearing up while her body was already starting to tense up. When we went to the exam room she was content and calm with Ms Magdalaina, she introduced the tools she was going to use to my daughter and told her she’s was in good hands, my experience with the two honestly loving and caring ladies was over and beyond wonderful. The doctor is of course with out a doubt the best doc for my children, they don’t need another dentist he’s just wonderfully wonderful.

My daughter has been coming her for maybe 2 or 3 years and I won't take her anywhere else, they are helpful, pleasant, professional, and I feel like my daughter gets the care she needs and they are even helpful when it comes to trying to manage cost. I would recommend this provider to anyone!

Everyone was personable and friendly, scheduling was a breeze, hygienist was super efficient and beyond nice, Doctor was amazing- professional and skilled while also funny and focused on making my child feel comfortable. My daughter can’t wait for her next visit!

I love this place and so does my 6yr old. She actually gets excited to go to the dentist. The whole staff is great, from the receptionist to the dental hygienists and of course Dr. Vissichelli !!!... Dr. Chewy is what my daughter calls him.. It's a very professional but fun environment. And oh I can't forget the prize wall! They have golden tokens for each child at the end of each visit. They get to use it in one of six prize machines on the prize wall. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants they're child to have a great dental experience every time they visit.

Didnt properly inform Me of documentation that i needed once i asked why wasnt i informed they threatened to call the cops on me! Please explain how a 39 week pregnant woman is a threat that you need to call the cops! Never asked me to leave first response was to call the cops! I don’t recommend this place!!!

I highly recommend Firehouse Pediatric Dentistry. The waiting area is very kid friendly. The hygienist and dentist were great with my 3 yr old. They were FANTASTIC with my autistic son. Very patient and didn't react with anything but kindness and patience. Thank you so much for your care.

I only have one complaint when the dentist came in he was almost right to the job getting in checking the teeth, scared my daughter because he came out of no ware and she was not ready for it

We have been going to Firehouse for 3 years from the time my child was 6 months! The care and faculty are unmatched, appointments are always on time with the dentist and his precise care of children is phenomenal. Highly recommend Firehouse for all ages! Include in visit are fire hats goody bag and coins for the toy wall where there are huge machines where child chooses a toy!

From the time you check in until you check out the staff treats you like family. My 5 year loves coming in, no matter what he is having done that day. The staff always makes him comfortable and he has yet to be afraid of anything. Awesome job everyone!

I’m also having issues with the “office manager” I believe she is. Can’t make an appointment or give the needed information, she won’t stop talking over me and basically pushing me to take my kiddos elsewhere. She says someone will call me back “in an hour” related to my new insurance...they never do...and apparently that’s my fault. My kids have been coming here since the doors opened...I mean their dad was a firefighter here before it was a dentist....I have lived here my whole life...this place was special to us. I’ll keep calling in hopes someone else answers the phone and is available to talk to but as it’s going right now my kids are totally behind schedule and eventually will have to go somewhere...I’d really hate if it wasn’t here but that’s the direction it appears to be headed.
