Dr Vinay Malviya is a rare Dr.. He is One of the best doctors in the world. He is a brilliant. Dr. Malviya saved my mother’s life multiple times when other hospitals did not know what the issue was. He also did her major surgery and it was successful. The most shocking and bitter day for my whole family was July 30th, 2021, he retired!! Dr. Malviya should have a statue made for him at Providence Hospital in Southfield. It’s not only my mother he had saved, but many people. People will happily wait in lines all day for a Black Friday sale but do not be frustrated about waiting 3 to 4 hours to see a man who will save your life and is one of the kindest person you will ever meet. Priorities.

Great surgeon , takes time with patients . Way understaffed and apparently overworked - Unfortunately most of the time not helpful. The wait is ridiculously long still, like our time doesn’t matter. Just bring a couple of novels or as I have watched movies on my iPhone.

Dr. Malviya is such a hard working, knowledgeable doctor. I have been seeing him for 10 years since my surgery. The wait time is long but he is working with many high risk patients so I don’t schedule anything else on the day of my appointment.

Over 30 years of care! Dr. Malviya has been "Michigan's Top Doc" several times. He is the #1 Gynecological Oncologist in the state of Michigan. Forget about a second opinion he is at the cutting edge of all new procedures.

The best doctor I have ever had. He is going to let you know the truth about your condition although sometimes it's not what you want to hear but, he will be truthful with you. The wait to see him might be kind of long but, he is thee best. He has even called to check on me.. He is the best doctor I have ever met.

Do not expect any kind of personalized care in this doctor's practice. You are a mere number and treated as such, according to where you are on a graph. You will get no forward information, only that which you ask for, and unfortunately a new cancer patient often will not know what to expect or what to ask. There was very little follow up care, the wait times were ridiculously long, the staff was uncaring, and when I called and asked for help with the severe side effects from chemotherapy, I did not get a response for five business days and when the doctor finally returned my calls, he denied any medication to relieve my suffering. So, if you get stuck with this doctor, you should expect to be in as much pain that surgery and chemotherapy have to offer. Do not let this doctor's soft-spoken demeanor fool you. He does not see you as a real person, just a patient with a particular set of numbers to treat. And this is also reflected in his staff. Be aware. Dr. Malviya saved my life. I know that sounds dramatic, but he did. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, takes his time, and has excellent bedside manner. Yes you will have to wait, but he is worth it. He spent over an hour with me my first appointment, and has spent a substantial amount of time every appointment after. He is the only doctor I trust, and the only doctor that listened. I’m free of pain for the first time since puberty and able to live a normal life. Whenever the wait is long, I remind myself of how blessed I am to not be sick anymore, and that he is spending the time with a patient who maybe scared, sad, or hurt worse than I ever was. He gave me my life back. *I had stage four endometriosis

My experience with Dr Malviya was excellent. If you want a medical Dr who knows what he us doing, and cares for you, he is it! He takes his time to look at you and your medical condition. His wait times average 1 hour, but I felt it was worth it. I would rather have a Dr who cares about me as a person, and takes his time, than one who sees me as a number and rushes past me. you may have to wait to see him but, you cannot beat the dedication, interest, care and concern he has for his patients.

I entered the ER in absolute pain assuring that I would not be treated fairly because I had no insurance, I am so wrong to have assumed such because I was referred to Dr. Malviya due to the subject of my case as a whole. I will say that I can never repay this wonderful man and his team for what they have given me back. I grew up abroad in a very uncertain situation truly not expecting much of the world ahead in kindness, I was wrong. I can say that this man and his knowledge and kindness have given me the best outlook from here out. I have become current with my mammograms as a result as well as my overall health!!! I had my appendix removal 5 days prior to my other procedure and I was up and walking and feeling amazing thanks to this amazing man and his team at Providence Hospital in Southfield Mi. Dr. Malviya is an excellent doctor. He spends time with each patient and tries to answer questions/ concerns. All the patient wait patiently in his office because we know the wait is worth it.

Dr. Malviya was learned, experienced and gentle, whispering in my ear after surgery to let me know the details and at the same time giving support. He is literally a lifesaver. The office wait time is long but I don't mind because I know his time is spent between the hospital, the surgery and his office helping others. His schedule is grueling. He is the best.

I want to take a moment to say a special thanks to Dr. Malviya and his team at Providence Cancer Institute. I love these folks. They are warm, passionate and very professional group. Dr. Malviya and his team takes time and answers any and all questions, relieving the unknown and erasing fears. They care. Dr. Malviya became agitated by the number of questions I had. He had no bedside manner and started falling asleep during my visit.

Excellent! The wait wasn't too bad; 1.5 hrs until I saw him for the first time. I thought this was short given that he runs between the office and emergency calls to save lives. What's important was his knowledge and judgement. I'm not an expert therefore I need to feel completely comfortable with info given by him. And I'm a picky one esp with doctors. Dr. Malviya was excellent in many aspects. I'm the type with many questions, and he really spent time with me to go through everything.

My grandma, a patient of 12 years, had cancer 3 times under Dr.Malviyas care, She died 1 month after last visit with him & not a care in the world was given. No condolences from his medical team. Firstly, we agreed on surgery because he told my grandma & the family she only had 1 tumour. Then on the day of surgery while my grandma was being prepared to go back he said it was 4 tumours. My grandma looked shocked so did my family. Dr had an instant attitude when we showed concern over # of tumours

I find the office visit scheduling very odd BUT it is worth the wait to see him. I had a partial vulvectomy with laser last year. My scarring is minimal and other doctors have complimented his work. He has a wonderful bedside manner and is easy to talk to. He spends as much time as I need and I trust him. If I ever need questions answered quickly, Nurse Gail is always helpful & friendly.

Other doctors raved about his surgical skills. Laporatomy went well. Not given sufficient pain relief. Poor bedside manner. Kept calling me Ma'am. Waited many hours for appointments and for surgery even though I had a scheduled surgery. I was left in room during follow up appointment after surgery with full vertical abdominal incision Laid on table with legs hanging down. Painful and it should not have happened. Overstretched! Nurse Barb was good though.

I trust Dr. Malviya with my life. He is an awesome doctor with a big heart. He cares for all his patients, regardless of their status and seeks nothing but the best treatment for them. I do believe that the level of care I receive and Dr. Malviya's warm demeanor expedited my recovery. Thank you Dr. Malviya and Staff!
