Dr. Vikram Rasiklal Shukla

I have a multitude of mental disorders and have searched the Gaston area for 30 years for a doctor that would listen and not tune me out and make assumptions. My psychologist recommended Dr. Vik Shukla for two years. I am so glad I was talked into seeing him He tried several different combinations of medications until we found the right combination that worked well. I have never been more normalized and have been helped with dealing with the pressures of everyday life. I will continue to see him until he retires. He listens to my issues and treats them with respect. He has been the biggest help of any psychiatrist I have ever seen. I thank him for helping me control my issues, complexes, and pressures of everyday life. There is nothing that i can't talk to him about that he doesn't address. Thank you so much Doc.

Yes, I most certainly would!! I have been seeing Dr. Shukla for quite some time now, at least 10 years or longer!!! I believe I had just received my C-PAP Machine before seeing him, but I would not use it. I could not stand the mask over my face! Dr. Shukla asked me why I wanted an early death? I was surprised at the question!! He said I needed to start using the machine, so after a while of trying different Meds, masks, etc.... I could finally wear comfortably! I have had 2 Cervical surgeries,,4 lumbar surgeries, a shoulder replacement, 2 knee replacements. broken bones in both arms and recently 2 Deaths in my Family, to which I was very close to!!!! Dr. Shukla has been very supportive and understanding during all of this time! He has an entirely different way of thinking than I do!! He lets me know if I get out of line with my thought pattern, he listens and then he talks!!! Sometimes telling me what I don,t want to hear but still encouraging me to do better! no complaints

Dr. Shukla Is very helpful he makes sure to answer the right questions and when I need an appointment I don't have to wait forever I'm normally seen within days.He does a awesome job with making sure which medicine is right for me.And he actually listen to my problems thanks Mr.Shukla I look forward to our future doctor patient relationship.

That’s the problem I didn’t have an appointment. His office left a voicemail with an appoint. I called back and declined one. His office has be trying to fraudulently charge for the visit I refuse to make for TWO YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!

Like back in India This guy don’t have the manners and courtesy we are used to from American doctors. When with him you feel you are dealing with a bad guy from an Indian movie accustom to treat bad men of women of a lower cast. He things he is all that but even his office smells bad. His staff as bad as him

Just all in all horrible the wait time is ridiculous he doesn't pay attention to what you're really saying his staff are stuck up and rude people not to mention that every time I visit him he has private phone calls wasting my time after I had to wait over an hour to see him I've been going there for several months and I've been displeased the entire time at this point I'm finding a new psychiatrist. Dr. Shukla was the first psychiatrist that accepted my insurance and was taking new patients. I had to wait a month for a new patient appt. I read reviews from different websites I wasn't sure. All but one were from 2015 and negative. The newest one, 2017 was positive. The old reviews were taken to heart because he was nothing but kind. My son was the patient and that is who he spoke to first. He was direct with me, keeping my son as the focus. I left satisfied and have follow up 2 weeks later.

He is very demeaning and arrogant. He talks a lot about his own personal life and not enough about yours. he is good with knowing what medications to prescribe for different diagnoses, but he lacks compassion and tact.

He dont care for the patience he eat during the vist you wait hours and he the worst
