Doctor Khetphal and his staff are patient, friendly, and professional. On the days that I visit, I go to a remote location in Gainesville. Of course, they have to fit in many appointments on that day, so it is a wild and busy day for the staff. They all keep their cool, remain positive, and do excellent crowd control. Dr. Khetpal saved my sight!!! He is so WONDERFUL & AMAZING!!! I’m a wet AMD patient from NJ. I receive regularly-scheduled injections in each eye, at a mega-hospital in NYC. I arrived in TX, for a visit with my family, on Tues., 5/10. On Thurs., 5/12, I had lost the sight in my left eye. Dr. Khetpal saw me thing Friday morning—and, immediately diagnosed me with a severe eye infection. He injected my eye with antibiotics, and scheduled me for a vitrectomy the following Tuesday. He also saw me in his office the next day, Saturday, on his day off!!! I’ve been to his office twice since then, for follow-up. He feels I’ve turned the corner and us please with how I’m progressing. Can't believe how he treats his elderly patients! He had a 90 year old diabetic patient wait over 2 hours in pre-op before doing her surgery. No explanation was given. Unacceptable! He is not a god and should treat people with more courtesy and respect! His actions border medical negligence as the patient became very dehydrated and disoriented as a result. He refuses to speak up and talk to their face despite them being hard of hearing, instead mumbling behind their back. Like others have said he is very arrogant!

This is not recent experience but nevertheless imprinted on my mind. On a weekend I had a momentary eye issue and it resolved itself but I was terrified of what had happened.. A Google search got me Dr. Khetpal and I called him ... left a VM - it was a weekend .. to my amazement he called me back himself, and to my astonishment and Great Relief he scheduled me for an exam on Sunday ... morning the next day. He was the only person there he had come specially for me ?! !! He gave me immediate consolation and asked me to come to his Texoma for an even more detailed exam ... very communicative and very understanding of mental issues that may affect someone if he fears losing an eye. Dr. Khetpal completes his examination in a timely manner. He explains what's going on and how specific treatments work. The wait in Paris, TX can sometimes be rather long because he sees so many patients. But I am thankful that he comes to my town and I don't have to drive over an hour to see him.

He performed surgery on my eye for a dislocated IOL that is the internal lens placed in the eye during cataract surgery and mine became detached years later. I was told it was a fairly simple surgery. I could only see light and very hazy shapes even with new prescription glasses when I went for my first checkup after surgery. He did admit that he did not center the lens properly and said he could do it over which I declined. This is not a simple surgery there was a lot of trauma and the general anesthetic kicked my butt. It is now six months later and the eye still aches and tears all the time and for all practical purposes I am blind in that eye. Hopefully another surgeon can correct his mistakes.

I had emergency retina surgery by Dr. Khetpal while I was out of town. I can’t express enough how grateful and blessed I was to have been referred to him. I received excellent care. Since I lived too far, I was referred to another Dr. in my hometown. However they continued to check on me. He and his staff are wonderful, caring, and provide the best service. The very best.

This is is great doctor's office, the people here are very helpful and wonderful, I am fearful of any procedures and this was the first time I didn't have to have extra meds for what was done to my eyes. I had no problems at all i felt comfortable here.

When I was referred to Dr. Khetpal by my local optometrist for repair of a macular hole I was apprehensive to say the least. However, he explained everything professionally, but in layman’s terms with visuals, so that I understood the entire procedure. The surgery was completely painless and Dr. Khetpal’s staff and assistants treated me like I was in a day spa instead of day surgery! Thank you, Dr. Khetpal.
