Dr. Kantamneni saved my life! I was seeing Dr. K for Mitral valve repair. While I was in surgery for my mitral valve repair my ascending aorta dissected at the arch and ruptured causing a lot of blood loss. What was supposed to be a 2-4 hour procedure turned in to a 10 hour lifesaving event. Dr. K rebuilt my ascending aorta and repaired my mitral valve. I am blessed this occurred while I was in surgery, because as I understand it, the chances of surviving an Aortic bleed is very slim. I spend 10 days in the hospital. The care I received from Dr. Kantamneni and his team and the team at Columbia St. Mary's was nothing short of incredible. I am humbled by their kindness and heartfelt care for the patient.
