Dr. Parameswaran took my symptoms seriously and was willing to try interventions that made sense based on symptoms and family history, using appropriate medical guidelines. She was always transparent about what options were, what she would recommend and why, and what she would be willing to try but couldn't promise would work. She returned my life to me by prescribing something for my suspected autoimmune disease. I found that you do have to advocate for yourself with her- if something is not working for you, you need to speak up clearly- but that she does listen and cares about practicing good medicine for her patients. It is true that Dr. Parameswaran is not "warm and fuzzy"; however, she cares about doing good medicine and will work with patients to ensure they get the care they need. She was willing to put me on medication for suspected autoimmune disease due to symptoms and family history and that has allowed me to get my life back. She is clear about the medical principles she uses to make decisions (i.e. she is doing her best to use evidence-based medicine, which is so important!). Patients may need to advocate for themselves- i.e. assert their own experiences and question approaches if they're not working for them- but Dr. P will listen and accommodate if its medically justifiable.

Took my daughter to Dr. Vidya P. because of the pain in her hand joints. Dr. Parameswaran said that my daughter had rheumatoid arthritis and put her under heavy doses of methotrexate and cotrtisone. The medications did not improve the pain and resulted in sever hair loss. After almost one year, we doubted her diagnosis ( due to controversial statements we heard from her) and sought another specialist. It turned out that her diagnosis was wrong. The new doctor disagreed with Dr. Parameswaran diagnosis and took my daughter off those medications and recommended physical therapy. My daughter is fine now and we are so glad we sought another doctors. Please be careful when your see this doctor.

Dr. Parameswaran is the best doctor I have ever seen. She is caring and knowledgeable. She saved my life when during COVID-19 no other doctor agreed to see me. I owe my life to her. I recommend her to everyone. If an authority is reading this, please give her an award for being so kind, caring, and the best in her profession.

Having struggled from RA at a very young age 23, and been living with it till now. Doctor Vidya is been such a patient listener and always suggests corrective measures to ease the pain. Mentally to just listen to her gives such a positive impact on the mind and health. Thank you thank you thank you.

Dr.Vidya has been key to practically changing my life. I am an Indian classical dancer/performer by profession but tore my ligaments and in extreme pain. She guided me through pain management and through surgery. Now I am able dance again and I thank Dr.Vidya for her knowledge, patience and guidance. She also treated my dad who has severe arthritis with pain management. I would highly recommend her.

She confirmed I had RA - swift treatment got me relief from extreme pain promptly. Always has the time to answer questions, discuss results and treatment plans. I highly recommend her!

Very well versed in my malady; from my symptoms she diagnosed a case of PMR (Polymyalgia Rheumatica) of unknown origin. She laid out a very sensible and thorough medication protocol which obliterated my pains within two weeks and protected my health during the next 12 months' withdrawal period.
