She consistently chose to misgender me during my visit. I am a minor, and my parents are heavily transphobic and homophobic despite their public claims otherwise. I stated my pronouns, was asked to use them in a sentence and used them in a sentence, and explained my gender identity in addition to my correct name, which another individual placed into the system as a preferred name for my profile. I use one set of pronouns: they/them, and Richburg refused to use these pronouns at all and proceeded to use my old birth pronouns, which I had explained make me feel distressed and dysphoric. My mother, who has always refused to acknowledge her and my father's impact in my life, pushing me into suicidal ideation as a preteen. She neglected the health of her patient and actively proceeded to verbally abuse me throughout my constant correction of my pronouns. She would use my old ones, and I would correct her. She continued on without acknowledging my input and profusely used my old pronouns as my transphobic mother stood grinning to the side without any attempt to intervene. I will happily meet any attempts to discuss her blatant transphobia and the reflected values of your company. I have resubmitted my review as I did not receive an email to confirm this review.

Dr. Richburg-Whitfield has been my childrens' pediatrician for a number of years. She always has a great rapport with my children and myself. She takes time to thoroughly explain the medical situation. I was very impressed with a recent visit because she accurately diagnosed a problem with my son's eye which involved her using florescent dye and a uv light to confirm her diagnosis. My son thought her use of tools were so cool that for a moment he said it would be fun to be a pediatrician.
