Dr. Vatsala Bhaskaran

Have been seeing Dr Bhaskaran since 1992 and she basically saved my life and my family! She’s the best in her profession!

I have been seeing Dr. Bhaskaran for 2.5 years now and every single visit has been horrible. She is so rude and gets me upset every time I talk to her. the only reason I have stayed with her for so long is because it is so hard to find a new psychiatrist without having to wait 6 months to see someone. She doesn't listen and just yells and tells you she knows what is good for you when my body is saying different. Worst Physician I have ever been to. GO ELSEWHERE. I was referred to Dr. Bhaskaran seems like a lifetime ago. I went to her because I needed help. I probably didn't make sense to her first time I was there, but we worked through that appointment. She is very professional. I was there for her professional help, so I had to listen to her and follow her instructions in order to see if medications and or treatments were doing their jobs. Yes, she can get aggravated, only if you weren't following her instructions. Overall, she has been very good for my wellbeing.

If I could give a negative -5 I would. One of the worst doctors I have ever seen in my entire life. Among many things she said and did, the one that blew me away to my core was when she told me that if I really cared and loved my daughter like I said I did, I would quote "Get over this." Meaning depression. I should have filed an official complaint. That would be the same as telling a mother stricken with Cancer that if she cared and loved her children she would "get over it" and not die from Cancer.

Also was screaming the entire time of our so called session. Did not let me get 1 word in or explain, then just told me to 'find a new doctor, best of luck, bye '

Dr Baskaran is unprofessional and is not interested in getting to know her patients. Her lack of care plus her rigidity does not make her fit to care for anyone as she allows her biases to control her. I have to give her a star for posting. Please find someone else.

We don't want to get treated with this crazy place.

Horrible doctor. She basically let me go in the middle of treatment and said I complained too much that maybe she's not the one to help me. Cancelled my next appointment and dropped me.

I really like dr. Bhas,,she understands me and gave me meds that really help me,,shes wonderful,,,

HORRIBLE DOCTOR!!!. I'm having major problems with anxiety right now and had withdraws from recent medication that was proscribed from a different physiatrist called Paxil CR. Dr. Vatsala Bhaskaran said she was going to help me make things right and help me get back on track. Well after trying a few medications that wasn't working well with me, she tried a different one and now I'm having other symptoms. She gotten frustrated with me and complain that something is always wrong with the medicine I take and no one else's complains. She said she can't help me and I should go back to my old Doctor. She cancelled my appointments and left me to dry. Thanks for the help and being professional. Unbelievable!!

If I could give zero stars, I would. Dr. B is very rude and does not listen. Her office manager was extremely rude to me and told me to find another psychiatrist then hung up on me. She should be fired.

This doctor was rude, and I don't know why she was so condescending. She limits what she prescrbes everyone without listening to see what your symptoms are. She doesn't seem to know her facts on meds bc I have researched my meds at UT Med Library, read to keep current and talk to other doctors. I saw her once and refused to go back. She's afraid to treat older patients for liability purposes. She wanted me to get cardiac clearance, but didn't know what tests to ask for! She seems to not understand English very well. Doctor Baskaran rushes and is only worried about being paid. VERY inflexible with appointments. Office staff is EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional.

Every time I talk to her she's great.

Dr. Bhaskaran has been very good for me.

I would even give Dr Bhaskharan more than a 5 stars , I have been dealing with anxiety, depression, phoebia for the last 6 years hospitalized 2 times , delt with lots of doctors , she and her team are the ones who really helped me to go back toy normal life enjoying my life and kids again , she really care about her patients and follow up with them . I feel sad that I am relocating to another state and hope to find a good Doctor like her . Thanks for all your help. I have been seeing Dr Bhaskarn since 2013. I have found her to be professional, understanding and kind. I was in the worst place in my life at that time as my mother, sister and best childhood friend had passed away within a 6 month period. I as also estranged from my only daughter. The doctor has helped me work through all of this and understand that I do have options and I am in a much better place now. I highly recommend her.

I made an appt and they charged my credit card 50 dollars without my permission before the appt. When I called to inquire the office person told me that was a deposit. That's not what they told me. I asked her to cancel the appt and she hung up on me. Evidently they like to take people's money and hope they don't realize it.

I went to see Dr. Bhaskaran for an initial visit today, and it was the worst experience with a doctor I have had in my life! She did not even introduce herself before she started scolding me like a child for bringing my kids. I asked her if they could just wait outside and play their games, and she just got louder and more aggressive. I would rate her an absolute zero if Google would let me! Great doctors and therapists; the staff is friendly too. The one complaint would be the waiting time, but that is dependent upon what time of day you go and which doctor you see. Otherwise, I have been going here for about 3 years and I plan to continue doing so.
