I had a great visit in September 2022. Good bedside manner and good diagnostic skills. Unfortunately retiring on September 30 th 2022. Communicated all my blood test results and took care of preventive aspects and vaccinations. Educated me regarding Obesity Hypertension and my Diabetes. Will follow with his NP and --the new doctor. Highly reccomend.

My mother went into the hospital at Southern Regional and Dr. Meka was supposedly taking care of her and it was an absolute circus. He would never call and give my family a report. When we spoke to the nurses on that floor they couldn't tell us anything and always stated that Dr. Meka would call. He called once and my mother had been there a week already and when he did decide to call he still could give us an official diagnosis. I would not let Dr. Meka watch my dog! Very good doctor but the wait time is all jacked up if you dont have a car you in for a treat it to hot to be waiting for 2 hours out side

Dr Meka is an outstanding Primary Care physician who was located on my military Tricare website.

Excellent Doctor and explains diagnosis very well

I simply love Verma he has been my doctor since I was 20 and I’ll be 40 next year.... that should say enough he is the realist doctor ????‍⚕️ I’ll ever meet

Great Doctor, my family and I have been a patient since 2003. He's very good at taking care of his patients. He takes his time and listens.

Dr Varma Meka has a high number of older patients, and I am one of them (atleast for now) . There have many times i would tell him something hurt. and each time he would do pretty much the same thing. he would call himself examining me, feeling on stomach, and ended up blaming it on medication, until I eventually insisted / demanded to have some type of scan or x ray of my stomach area, to see if there was anything inside that was wrong. After getting the runaround from his front his office staff on scheduling an mri I went to emergency room and the emergency room doctor immediately ordered a cat scan that revealed something very wrong. That same day Dr meka was the admitting physician at that hospital, and barely wanted to talk to me, but suggested I be admitted to the hospital so that I could get these additional tests and scans faster than going through the outpatient process. I ended up staying in the hospital for almost 4 days, just waiting to get an MRI. I had blood drawn several times during that stay. When i finally had my MRI I waited over 7 hours without hearing any news from the MRI scan that I had been waiting to get for about 3 days. Later that evening without hearing news about that MRI I was discharged from the hospital and told to contact Dr Meka (my primary physician) to follow up on my next steps.. WELL I did just that the next day. I was first told by Dr Meka’s front office he was not in the office yet. I called back later that day, and said I urgently needed to speak with him before the end of the day. The office member said they were going to give him my message. (keep in mind his hours have now changed to accepting patients between 9:00 am to 12:00pm ) I had not heard from him by 12:30pm so I called back and a different staff member said hold on, then came back and said Dr Meka got my message and would call me back when he finishes with patients. Long story short HE DID NOT CALL. This shows a lack of professionalism and compassion for patients. This makes me wonder if all he cares about is having a high volume of elderly patients with insurance, and getting paid, not about their total health and prevention. This day spoke volumes to me that he either doesn't give a s*it about the reports I received, or he is incompetent in running a private practice. IF he is your doctor GET OUT immediately. Find someone with compassion along with front office staff that has the same. This is just a partial summary of my experiences with Dr Meka and his office,not including 1.) his office /him not getting back to my pharmacy about approving prescriptions he has prescribed, after the pharmacy trying to contacting him 3 times, no response from him or his office in a week’s time (pharmacy cancelled prescription order because they could not reach him) 2.) having an appointment made by front staff , and then showing up for appointment and being asked why am I there. I was almost turned away until I showed my appointment card that they filled out for me. If he is your doctor GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN YOUR HEALTH IS TOO IMPORTANT! I really love my experience with the entire staff and Dr.Meka I would recommend him to anyone that's looking for a good and concerning Dr. and staff

This doctor is not for sick people. Just a doctor. Very nice just not a good doctor. Not very good at all. For instance mom had failing kidney. Legs were swollen and black around ankles. He looked at them felt it and told her that was fatty tissue which was a cosmetic issue. Things that make you go hmmmmmm. Right then I decided mom needs a doctor.

HORRIBLE I SHOULD HAVE TAKEN MY INITIAL CUE FROM THE FIRST TIME I CALLED. THE WOMAN WHO ANSWERED THE PHONE THAT DAY WAS CURT, SHORT AND SOUNDED ANNOYED. I LET IT GO. AS I WAS TRYING TO ESTABLISH MYSELF AS A NEW PATIENT. THERE IS A BLACK GIRL WHO OPENS THE WINDOW AND BOY IS SHE RUDE, DISMISSIVE EVEN HOSTILE. SHE STARTED AN ARGUMENT WITH ME AS I ASKED QUESTIONS AND SLAMMED THE WINDOW IN MY FACE AND SHE DID THE SAME TO MY GRANDDAUGHTER. SHE DOESNT POSTIVELY GREET PATIENTS. SHE TELLS YOU TO HOLD ON IM ON THE PHONE. SHE IS MEAN AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. MY DAUGHTER TRIED TO TALK TO THE DOCTOR AND OFFICE MANAGER ABOUT HER AND SHE OUTRIGHT CALLED MY DAUGHTER A LIE. DR MEKA DIDN'T APOLOGIZE FOR HER BEHAVIOR AND WE LEFT. SIDE NOTE: THE ENTRANCE TO THE OFFICE IS NOT EASILY SEEN WHEN YOU DRIVE UP. IT IS UNKEMPT AND RAGGEDY. THE WAITING ROOM IS SMALL AND SHABBY. THERE ARE ALL KINDS OF PAPER ON THE WINDOW THAT SHOW YOU PATIENT SERVICE AND KINDNESS ARE NOT A PRIORITY. I DID NOT GET TO SEE DR MEKA. I have been a patient of Dr. Meka over 10yrs. Awesome doctor in my opinion I would definitely recommend him to family and friends. He's actual mines and my husband doctor.

The doctor was a very good listener, but he look tired. He took extra time with me, because I was a new patient, and he seemed to know about my issues. I needed a primary care physician closer to home. He was recommended by my husband who likes him. I will know more after I get use to the changes he made in my medications. He changed my insulin and my blood pressure med. His office staff is wonderful and very friendly! Like I said, he seemed very tired that day.

Been going to him for years. He is great if you just need maintenance like prescriptions. If you have a sudden situation, that's when you run into problems.

I had the most unpleasant experience with a member of Dr. Meka's staff. She was rude, hateful and very unprofessional. I will be reporting her unacceptable behavior to him. I can't believe anyone would knowingly hire someone with such a nasty personality.
