Dr. Vanessa Veve

Disrespectful of my Mother's life experience and near perfect health, fitness and cognizant abilities at her advanced age of 93 maintaining her own home, strong constitution of daily physical exercise and continuing education at USF. While suspecting breast cancer @ 93, Dr. Veve thwarted every independent effort made to find suitable treatment. On our own, we obtained peerless support at Moffit Cancer Center/USF, bonded with her female surgeon and became the poster child of Moffit. Driving herself to 6 weeks of radiation, the entire episode became a walk in the park, contrary to Dr. Veve's obstacles. Staff confirmed the doctors aggressive behavior.

My husband had her as a doctor. Had to have colonoscopy. Had 3 visits prior. Went back for test results and she told us she had never seen us before and had never ordered any test on my husbands behalf. Her assistant was trying to tell her that he has been a patient and she threw her out of the room. Tried to report this but couldnt get anyone with medical association to do anything about it. As a Geriatric doctor, she should know that seeing a patient for 10 or 20 minutes does not make her an expert with that patient's health history. She has no problem leaving a patient in pain for days without providing some kind of relief, even if this patient has a history of a chronic condition and the specialist has setup a long standing prescription to manage this condition. It's quite apparent that she feels she know more than the patient's specialists. Get a 2nd opinion before seeing her
