Dr. Vanessa R Foster

I've had persistent bleeding which i believe to be caused by hormonal imbalance. Took several months to get an appointment with Dr.Foster. they made me pay before seeing anyone. Then the nurse made me take off my clothes for a pap that didn't happen and I had to sit there during the entire appointment with my pants down while she talked down to me about overeating. She assumed everything and didn't give a rats tail about anything I was asking. No matter what I said she was convinced she knew me without doing any tests and without listening to my feedback or concerns. I've never been so humiliated and disrespected in my life. This experience was traumatic and heartbreaking. I've left with a big bill and continuous bleeding that was once again ignored. I really hoped seeing a Black woman doctor would help me in the long run. Now i have one less sick day at work and 5 times more nightmares.

She delivered my baby because she was on call and was visibly upset that I dared deliver at 10:30pm when she wanted to go home. Didnt speak to me or give me any directions for follow-up care. Rude, unprofessional. Stay away.

I have known Dr. Foster for over 5 years and her bedside manner has been quite exceptional. I am currently trying to locate her new office.

Dr Foster delivered my baby a little over 2 years ago in June 2018. I was 22 at the time and didn’t know what to expect. She answered questions I had before my delivery but she was cold and very sarcastic. I distinctly remember feeling like I was being spoken to as a child. The day of my delivery I was dilated 10 centimeters for a full 60 minutes before she arrived. The nurses told she was “on the way from her home” and “caught in traffic” which I felt was crazy. After delivering my child Dr. Foster never came back to check on or speak with me before I was discharged. My six week checkup consisted of her asking me a series of questions and leaving. No exam whatsoever. I was extremely disappointed. Needless to say I never went back or visited her affiliate hospital again.

Dr. Foster delivered my sweet baby boy for me almost 5 years ago. I was only 19 and had a complicated delivery. She literally saved my life. I am forever thankful.

Dr. Foster was very helpful and there not a long wait time, she asked about any concerns or questions I may have had....

Terrible

She was simply AMAZING! I couldn't have asked for a better ob/gyn. She helped me through my delivery and made me feel like such a champ when it was over. She's extremely professional yet very personable. Most importantly there were no complications and I healed perfectly and quickly. If I have another baby she will be my go to MD! Highly recommended.

I saw a YouTube video by Dr. Foster where she expressed her passion for her profession which led me to make an appointment. I'm glad I did. She made my delivery (my first) so pleasant and comfortable. My appointments since so norturing and informative. Not to mention the pleasant staff, Mrs. Pat is my favorite!

The only thing I can say is that I have had great experiences with Dr. Foster. The fact that she does ask you do you have any questions or can she do anything else that makes me feel like she cares. She follows up and make sure you have options. She looks at each scenario with the positive and negative outcomes to keep you informed about your choices. I have been to a lot of doctor who make me feel like a pay check. Dr. Foster makes you feel like someone she is caring for. GREAT DOCTOR!!!

Dr. Foster is very professional, courtesy and doesn't make her patients way a long time. I am so happy to have found a gyne like her. I love the Advocate Network and Team! I am so happy that I made a good decision to switch doctors from another healthcare facility.

3 visits with this Dr now and I know nothing more than when I came through the door. All she has to say is... Do you have any questions? At my visit yesterday she came in dressed like she was going clubbing and she actually caught an attitude with me because I told her I refuse to take her recommendation (based on the suggestions of Christ Hospital maternal fetal medicine) that I take aspirin daily. I was met with sarcasm and almost rage. I have yet to feel warmth or concern here.

I have been a patient of Women's Healthcare of Illinois for a few years now. I had what I felt was an emergency and my regular physician was not available so, I booked that earliest appt. with Dr. Foster. Dr. Foster took care to actively listen to my concerns and provided her expert opinion. She was also engaging letting me know that what I am experiencing is normal. I enjoyed the ease of our conversation and her care.

Would not recommend, very condescending and terrible attitude.

She is TERRIBLE. Told her my symptoms she trivialized it but said that she would still put in for an ultra sound since I insisted. Turns out I have a rare condition that usually only happens to people in their 40s I'm 26. Didn't really describe my condition or how seriously it would affect me. NOR MENTIONED that it will be virtually impossible for me to have children. Gave me virtually no information. I mean I was completely another number. She doesn't care about and it 100% shows!!!!
