Dr. Valerie Anne Smith

I have had extensive dental work throughout my life as a result of a genetic condition. I've seen numerous dentists, periodontists and oral surgeons over 40 years and have never met someone as rude or off-putting as Valerie Smith. It is clear that she has very little respect for her patients. I also question her professional competency as she recommended a significantly more invasive procedure (that would have included a bone graft and gum tissue graft) that was ultimately not required after getting a second opinion. There are many other phenomenal periodontists in the Boston area. No reason to waste your time or money here.

Very poor bedside manner. Extremely rude.

I have had an exam as well as deep cleaning done in this office so far. I must say they are incredible. Everyone is so very friendly and full of information. All are so very patient with me and helpful in all areas. I highly recommend this office!! It is a very homey ad welcoming environment.

Dr Smith has completed the placement of implants in the upper right side of my gums. She demonstrated utmost confidence and professionalism – simply a pleasure to be her patient. First she extracted 3 teeth from my right upper gums, then placed bone graft in the sockets and once ready she placed the stents, evaluated after 3 months and exposed implants- stage 2 or healing abutment placement. I cannot recommend Dr. Valerie Smith more highly. She is competent, professional and takes the time necessary to explain any issues or answer any questions. From the time I called to make my appointment to the exam to the dental cleaning, every staff member I dealt with was professional, competent and courteous. A very positive experience.

Honestly this whole office made me uncomfortable. I felt like they were pushy and not forthcoming and just odd. When I decided to not pursue treatment with them, they continued to call me daily for a couple months which was quite frustrating. Then just over this past month they have called and asked me to come in and use my insurance monies before the end of the year despite me telling them repeatedly that I am getting treatment elsewhere. I noticed that they have also left me 4 voice mails
