She seems like a knowledgeable doctor, but she pushed me off to someone I did not know when I needed her. I did a home covid test and it was positive. Called her to ask what I should do regarding the pill or infusion. Her nurse called to inform me she was too busy to have a tele-med call and gave me a nurse practitioner to call (someone not even in her office). I know I have not had her as a doctor for along time and I am just a name to her but I felt abandoned and will not be going back to her. My cardiologist did call me back and helped me.

Great bedside manner, she is very thorough and addressed all issues with a game plan. She looked over the medical documents I brought and explained the issues on them. She made several referrals for the new issues as well as the pre-existing issues in my medical history.

Two months ago I had a major, life changing operation for an ailment that caused me unexplained health issues for years. I am still recovering. I came to Dr.Michaelides to establish care with a PCP, and address an unrelated issue. She did not address the issue I brought to her attention. Here are the only things she did. She explained very basic, obvious information about my weight which is expected because not all patients have this information. However,despite me disclosing I had an eating disorder she suggested I use a calorie tracking app to lose weight. This is not medically sound for a person with my issue. My next grievance is that before she saw my bloodwork she said she would give me 4-6 months to get my cholesterol within range. She said that several times. I am certain I haven't had high/bad cholesterol on any previous tests. I am a vegan, and I told her that. I am filing a formal complaint because this appointment was unacceptable, and I want Dr.Michalides to reflect on this experience, and do better for future patients. I have to make another appointment with a PCP, on top of the mountain of appointments I have this month alone. I am seen by doctors who have discussed my weight in a way that is not only professional, respectful, but medically sound at the very least.

I was blessed with the opportunity to have Dr. Valerie Michaelides MD as my doctor .She is honesty amazing. She does not make you feel rushed ,she makes you comfortable and I feel so greatful to have her in charge of my health I highly recommend Valerie Michaelides MD ?????
