Dr. Valentine Nfongen Nfonsam

Dr. Nfonsam has many years of practice under his belt. I consider him an expert surgeon, at this point. From the first time I met him, I intuitively knew he was the Doctor who would fix me. And he did! My life is back to normal! Thank you so much Dr. Nfonsam and team! It is apparent that Dr. Nfonsam is very busy and in high demand. I found him to be not only a practical surgeon but an extremely intuitive and very honest Doctor. Post surgery . . . his team was always there for me, answering my call and soothing my anxieties. In retrospect, I was kind of ridiculous sometimes in my concerns post surgery, but they still answered my calls and made time for me, every time. Dr. Nfonsam's team of Nurses are just as on it, real, and as compassionate as Dr. NFonsam. Even his receptionists were always so nice and understanding! Highly recommend this Doctor!!!

I had emergency surgery for Peritonitis in Colorado in May 2021 and was fitted with an Ostomy bag. I moved to Arizona in June 2021 and needed to find a surgeon to do a Hartman Reversal in late 2021. I found Dr. Nfonsom through Banner Medical and scheduled the initial appointment. He evaluated the Colorado surgeon’s record and took his time to listen to me about my medical journey as what the future would hold. As a new patient and new to AZ, I found he was very reassuring, professional, and was very honest with his discussion of my condition. Remember, he didn’t do the emergency surgery in Colorado and going back to CO, for me, was not an option for the Hartman Reversal. I prayed for a surgeon who would do his best for my health and after the initial appointment, I felt he was the one to bring my health back to some type of normalcy. He did! I highly recommend Dr. Nfonsom (and his team) to perform surgery as he does have your best interest at heart. Plus, he’s a good guy!

I will recommend Dr. to anyone, truly amazing and talks to you like a normal person. He saved my life and I will always stay in contact. He performed a total colectomy and eventually reversal on me with zero issues. 0-10 I give him a 15!

Dr Nfonsam is an amazing surgeon with a great bedside. He took such good care of my husband. He told him what he was gonna do and why and he went above and beyond!!! He also has an amazing team that works with him!!! We would 1000% refer everyone we know to his office!!!

I saw this twice and wasn't impressed by him. He wanted to take out my colon with out doing test, to find out what the problem was yes I had problems with the colon but this doctor couldn't tell me what was causing I will not be seeing him again or recommending him again maybe he is knife happy. He should be able to tell the patient what is causing the problem but he couldn't plus waiting an hour in a half for him is rediculous and he didn't tell me anything that I didn't know already

I underwent surgery with Dr. Nfonsam. It was successful & did not have any problems since then. My recovery & healing period was fast too. He’s expert in his field. Very compassionate & care about his patients. I highly recommend Dr. Nfonsam!!!

He is the worst doctor I have ever met. He killed my mother. Now all I have is memories. I pray no one goes through what I went through because of his actions. He never got authorization to keep cutting on my mom. He gave her too many surgeries in a couple days and she never recovered. I hope I never see him again.

I'm still getting bills from 9 months ago for a simple colon cancer screening. Banner says bills are from my "surgery". I never had any surgery. Our healthcare system is very broken. I had to pay $350 before even entering Dr. Nfonsam's office for a cancer screening. I have Anthem insurance. I'm supposed to have free "preventative" coverage. ?? I guess cancer screening is not preventative. WTH? Complete rip off. No one, at any step of the scheduling or appointment making could tell me what my cost would be. I assumed it was preventative. They all point the finger at each other Banner - Anthem - Dr.Nfonsam....repeat circle of phone calls and emails until I'm too tired and pay the ridiculous bills so my credit is not ruined. Dr. Nfonsam has been my doctor for about ten years. He has performed 2 colonoscopies on me. He is my favorite doctor of all time and I would recommend him without question to anyone.

I recently lost my husband to ongoing medical issues. Doctor Nfonsam provided the best possible care and his compassion to us will forever be appreciated. As a patient, my husband loved Dr. Nfonsam; despite all he went through my husband was grateful for the care Dr. Nfonsam provided. As the wife to his patient, Dr. Nfonsam was always empathetic, willing to hear my concerns and provided the best quality of care. Dr Nfonsom is the best! He's kind and compassionate as well as willing to listen and work with his patients! His staff are also kind, compassionate and well organized! He and his staff have made an extreme struggle just a touch easier to manage. If I have to be in this medical mess I'm thankful to have Dr Nfonsom as part of my team!

Dr. Nfonsam is not only a wonderful surgeon, but he is also an extremely caring person! He is funny and kind as well as gifted! I will definitely keep him as part of my medical team as well as refer others to him!

Dr. Nfonsam is the most talented surgeon who genuinely cares personally about his patients. It is easy to tell that he entered this profession to help others. His passion for others is unmatched. I felt that as his patient and have spoken to many others who feel the same way!

Dr. Nfonsam wanted to perform outpatient surgery (very painful) with full anaesthesia for a procedure I am now having done by an doctor in-office with no pain or downtime at all. I feel he was trying to kill a flea with a baseball bat and fortunately decided not to proceed with him.
