The staff is caring bright and concerning they are on target and the office is clean and all are very organized its a pleasure to have my serious health concerns taken care there happy i was recommended to come here!!

He has the technical skills but not the bedside manners. Not the one to go during a difficult and disorienting recovery process. He will let his NP answer all your emails with no solutions. The follow up visits were even less informative. He actually recommended a pelvic physical therapist for pain who was out on leave pregnancy herself..… If you use him make sure you have a close relationship with your gynecologist or oncologist.

Dr.Kolev not only explained my condition in a scientific way but in a way that allows me to understand from lifestyle perspectives. He is empathic, caring, thorough, and well informed. A great listener and a teacher to ones health. Truly a rare find - a doctor who makes decision based on patient’s holistic lifestyle vs going off solely on external pathologist’s recommendations.

I saw Dr. Kolev in March 2013 on the advice of my gynecologist. I had had a pelvic sonogram and he explained that I needed a full hysterectomy because of family history. He sat with my husband and I for quite a while and explained everything he was going to do and why. I felt immediately that I was in excellent hands. He allayed our fears and he all but told me I would be fine. When I woke up after the surgery, he was at my bedside and gave me 2 thumbs up! His RN at the time, Oksana was ??

Supremely impressed by Dr. Kolev both in expertise as well as manner. I felt so secure having him examine me and perform surgery. I would recommend him highly.

While I do have confidence Dr. Kolev can perform the technical aspects of his job well, he has no bedside manner. His administrative staff never answers the phone or returns messages either. I left 9 messages before getting a call back to schedule my annual screening for high risk cancers. I informed him of this and then next time I needed to see him, I left 17 messages before giving up and switching doctors.

Dr. Kolev sincerely cares about his patients.Beyond being an excellent surgeon, he listened to me concerns and treated me with respect.
