Excellent doctor

Dr. Panossian treated me with concern & honesty. He respected my concerns as a patient and made me feel involved when we discussed procedures. His staff was always helpful & professional. The OR staff was the best! From the front desk with Karla, who showed great compassion & care as I checked in, to the staff in the back. Nile made me feel at ease & very comfortable prior to & after my surgey. He was very knowledgeable of the treatment I needed pre & post surgery. Nile extended his concern & called the following day to check on my well being to which I greatly appreciate since I have never experienced that before. Thank you to Dr. Panossian & his team of amazing professionals for your collaboration in making sure my care was important to you as much as it was for me.

Dr. Panossian has been my Orthopedic doctor for approximately 29 yrs from my sons in high school back in 1994 to present. Dr. Panossian is quick in and out but if you have questions he listens, is patient hears your questions, he explains procedures goes over MRI and X-rays and gives you options. I've had several procedures/surgeries done by him and I'm very happy with the process. I give him 5 stars and always recommend him to my family and friends. He is our family Doctor.

Dr. Panossian was approachable, caring and made my mother feel extremely comfortable and listened to. She also trusted his knowledge and skill.

My name is Parvin N. and I write to give an honest, considered review of Dr. Vahe Panossian's surgery on my left shoulder in July 2021. Having shoulder issues for some time, I decided to explore shoulder replacement surgery and was referred to Dr. Panossian who, upon conducting x-ray and MRI, assured me that 90% of his patients --who underwent this kind of surgery-- were happy and content with his operation afterwards. So, I put my trust in him and went ahead. After spending one night at Huntington Hospital, I was released the day after the surgery without any post-surgery instructions as to what to expect and what to do at home -just given an icebox to use at night! I began resting at home and took care of my shoulder by not moving it; however, after about two weeks, my shoulder swallowed with black color. Worriedly making an appointment to seek his instructions, Dr. Panossian prescribed me antibiotics and a twice a week physiotherapy for a duration of 6 weeks. Upon later visits, due to the continuation of my shoulder's discomfort, he extended the physiotherapy for a total of 48 sessions. Unfortunately, there came no improvement. After more than a year from Dr. Panossian's operation, I am not able to lift my arm to its full extent, not even higher than what I could before the shoulder replacement operation. In addition, my left shoulder is disfigured and doesn't look normal like the right one. In about a tear Dr. Panosian requested a nerve study to be done the results showed nerve damage. After getting second and third opinion from other surgeons, we were told since it has passed a year after the surgery, no corrective surgery could be done for the nerve damage. This is another evidence that the post-surgery treatment was done without due diligence, and his negligence took away my independence. In our last meeting in his office, I tearfully reminded Dr. Panosian of his unfulfilled assurances, his failed operation and ensuing treatment. I expressed my dissatisfaction with his entire shoulder replacement work. Dr. Panossian simply responded that "Oh Parvin, I'm sorry that you are in the range of that 10%" I write this sincere review because I owe it to myself, and my fellow human beings who might become Dr. Panossian's patients, to tell the true story of my sad experience. I trusted his assurance and relied upon his medical capabilities, but he failed me miserably.

Best experience of patient care I have ever had. The Doctor and his staff are amazing, professional and thorough!

DR Panossian and his staff were extremely professional and welcoming. The Office was clean and I felt taken care of. Strongly suggest his services. He knew what my issue was and took the necessary steps to mend me.

He is always caring and attentive to my issues. Very friendly and honest. I highly recommend him. His bedside manners are wonderful. Great doctor. Excellent surgeon. I have been his patient for 10 years..

My child was referred to dr. Panossian by an urgent care for a broken arm. He and his staff were very nice but he was very rushed. He looked at his x-rays for literally 2 seconds. They casted his arm and pushed the follow-up appointment to three weeks, when he should have been seen in 1 week. He then had his cast re-set at an angle which was very painful and unnecessary as the bone had already begun healing. We went to an orthopedist specializing in pediatrics for a second opinion and had better results. My child was referred to dr. Panossian by an urgent care for a broken arm. Dr Pannosian is the best!! He has treated me for over 15 yrs for mutilpe fractures, tears & pain. He also treated & performed multiple surgeries on my mother. We are very BLESSED to have found such a kind & proffesional doctor who also has a great bedside manner & when you are in pain, that goes a long way.

The office is very clean, the staff very pleasant &professional. Dr. Panossian Is also pleasant, very positive attitude that just wants to get to the bottom of things and get you on the mend to functioning again. I’m always pleased when I leave from my appointments. Would recommend them highly.

I am very pleased with my choice of having chosen Dr. Panossian. He simply is the best professionally and other ways. He's cordial and easy to talk to. Very important when you don't know what to ask.

I appreciate Dr. Panossian's depth of knowledge, detailed intake and compassionate manner. He shared that I did not need surgery and prescribed a course of therapy. The office has an in-house physical therapy department with DPTs that are nurturing, kind and great listeners. I am not able to tolerate many medications, so Dr. Panossian recommended ways that I could improve my overall health and healing. My functional medicine doctor is now (unbeknownst to him) his biggest fan as she encourages me to try naturopathic avenues first and appreciates his advice. The office waiting area is attractive and features a relaxing water feature (which can make a difference when you're not feeling your best). Jeanette who manages the front office is always friendly and helpful. The doctor's assistant Victoria runs a tight ship and keeps workflow running smoothly. I have also had pleasant interactions with helpful staff in other departments such as billing and medical records.

Great Doctor , I've never been Happier. I've seen many doctors with so many questions & not enough answers. Dr.Panossian, right away gave me the impression that I could put my trust in Him. And I really didn't have many questions. He said it all just by telling me what he was going to do . He's The Best ????

I truly feel like he was rushing me out of the room and not taking my chronic pain seriously because I’m young. I felt off a CLIFF!! That doesn’t have anything to do with my age!! His only response was “buck up kiddo” until I started crying and he reluctantly referred me to pain management. (Mind you I’m 27) Not ever going back to see him. Do not recommend if you want warmth and empathy. He’s very matter of fact and always seems like he’s in a massive rush. Didn’t see “anything wrong” with my shoulder X-ray but refused to look deeper into the issue of my 9/10 pain. I left sobbing with no relief or answers. Huntington ortho has some great doctors, (Rizvi is great!) but this guy is cold and very “not my Problem” attitude

I went to Dr. Panossian circa 2017 with painful shoulder arthritis. I had surgery with a different doctor in 2013 on the shoulder and lost a great deal of cartilage. I saw Dr. Panossian twice, and with the physical therapy not resolving the pain, he recommended immediate surgery. He said an allograft is my best chance, and said the sooner the better--every day will make it worse. Well another surgery would be a big step, so I saw doctors at UCLA; USC and Kerlan Jobe for three second opinions. All three said do not do it. Given my situation, an allograft, or another surgery, would be a very poor treatment method. Instead all suggested more targeted physical therapy. It has been three years now, and so far so good. As for Dr. Panossian, I can't help but feel his surgery recommendation was a business decision.

Dr. Panossian is a great doctor. He is one of the best surgeons out there, but also really good about explaining what he did and what to do post-surgery so that a proper recovery is achieved. He is also a cool dude!

Very efficient operation!

Dr. Panossian is a doctor who doesn’t seem to have time for you and is always rushed. My appointment took all of about 4 minutes. He failed to hear my complaints and to treat me as an individual. Instead he said, “everybody has back pain.” He huffed and puffed, rolled his eyes. He made me feel like I didn’t matter. He suggested I just take more pain meds. Instead of giving me the care and time I needed or designing an adequate treatment plan, getting me back to work seemed to be his only objective. He couldn’t tell me what I do for a living. When I asked he said, “it doesn’t matter.” I will never recommend him as a doctor. No patience for patients. Extremely poor bedside manner. He simply does not care. Grade F-. You have royally failed Dr. Panossian.

Dr. Panossian did an amazing job on my bicep tear surgery in September. The consult, evaluation and surgery went far better than I would have ever expected. By the end of January I had completely healed with a very minor, hardly noticeable, scar. February I was back in the gym and had rebuilt my strength, to my previous level. I'm back to curling 50 pounders and have Dr. Panossian to thank for my full recovery. I couldn't have asked for a better, more caring and skillful surgeon. Thank you Dr. Panossian! We remember 1915! Dr. Panossian is excellent. I had a Bankart Tear in my shoulder that had been causing me discomfort and issues for years. He diagnosed it, after years of it not being diagnosed by GPs and a sports medicine doctor, and after years of physio, and he operated it on it. My quality of life is so much better. I'm so appreciative of Dr. Panossian's judgement and skill. It's made a huge difference to my ability to even function day to day without my should semi-dislocating all the time.

I have been treated by dr pannosian for over 10 years....he is by far my favorite dr...very professional, caring, thorough, and exceptional bed side manner...its very hard to find a dr that u can trust as well as like...and being a very sickly asthmatic my whole life i am very picky about my drs...i have osteoperosis, so i fracture very easily...having had over 3 dzn fractures, and 5 tears, and various drs early on, it was blessing to have found dr pannosian....he has performed surgery on me as well as my mom....i would not trust my bones to any other dr!!! He is always in a hurry. After first surgery I was in a lot of pain because there was something wrong. Called left message, next day call again still no call back. On the third day I just went to office. First surgery, repair labrum tear. After my shoulder wasn't right. Had to see different doctor to find problem. Bicep is being stretched. Second surgery, I was told by him he was going to relocate bicep tendon. He just cut and never reattached. Still having problems. DON'T LET HIM WORK ON YOU.

Dr Panossian recommended a surgery for me that was unnecessary. Four other Hip Orthopedists have reviewed my case and indicated that I was not a prime candidate for the procedure that Dr Panossian advised. Now, I am in great pain & looking at a hip replacement in my future. In my case, I do not think a reasonable standard of care was applied and as a result I suffer!

Personable, knowledgable surgeon with a soft touch...a welcomed change. The guy is a stud. Gets u back to your game with minimal down time. Tells you how it is and gives you a realistic goal.
