Dr. Uyen B Chu

Currently sitting in her office for 1 hour and 42 minutes. Haven’t seen her yet. I literally only need medication information. I’ll get my script and never come back. I’ll edit this post if things improve. For now I’m annoyed.

Not a doubt in my mind this procedure (gastric sleeve) prolonged and improved the quality of my life. Had it done in 2013(?), went form 350 to 195 lbs (currently). Dr. Chu!!!! you didn’t think I would have a successful result! Lol proved you wrong didn’t I? In every obese person, there is a smaller, healthier person literally dying to get out. We had bariatric surgery with Dr Chu in Dec 2008 (husband) and in Dec 2010 (wife). We have the most confidence in her. Dr Chu is an excellent and thorough Surgeon. We both reached and maintained our weigh loss goals. We are in excellent health now. We highly recommend Dr Chu.

Had surgery in 2003, best surgeon ever, had complications, but would have been dead in a yr if I didn't, lost over 200 lbs.

I had the rou and Y gastric bypass done in the spring of 2014.If you follow what she recommends you'll have no problems.I highly recommend her as weight loss surgeon.

I was scheduled to have a vertical sleeve gastric bypass revision (for ulcers not weight loss) and a hiatal hernia repair and when I woke up from surgery she had not done the bypass! She said if necessary she would do it at a later date.

She was our uncle's surgeon. Very sweet and informative.

My sister used Dr. Chu back in 2015. To this date she has not recovered from the errors of Dr. Chu. Think twice before using her as your surgeon. My sister returned to surgery for an infection and Dr. Chu could not help her. She is no longer her doctor she made sure to push her off to someone else. Dr Chu saved my Life! Excellent surgeon! Thank you!

Dr. Chu is amazing in her field. She performed the gastric bypass surgery (Roux-en-y) on me in 2010. I was 20 at the time and she voiced her concerns and opinions on my age and my weight. I weighed 290 and am still currently at my goal weight, which is 135-145 and I am now 27 with a two year old daughter. She is very compassionate and kind. I would recommend her to anyone. She will also be performing a full tummy tuck on me in the future. Her staff is very courteous and keeps in touch with me.

Dr. Chu and staff saved my life. It was the best thing i ever done. If i had to do it again i would.

She made mistakes involving my surgery. It was terrible, and so was the way I was treated. I would 'strongly urge' (to say the least) someone to reconsider choosing her. Run now, before you can't because you've been under her knife!
