I usually don’t write reviews but I just had to,for the great care I received at Mountain View dental center in Anacortes the experience I had with my teeth was stress-free due to their professionalism and knowledge and gentle approach throughout the whole procedure. Everyone that works there is AWESOME! ????

I’ve been a patient of Dr Collins for the past five years and could not be happier with the dental care I have received. My most recent visit involved a tooth which broke late one afternoon. I called Mountain View Dental at 4:30pm describing the broken tooth. An appointment was scheduled for the next day at 10:10, and it was determined a crown would be required. Shortly after 11:00am I left the office with a temporary crown in place. This has to be the best dental office in Washington state. SO IMPRESSED AND PLEASED! I've avoided visiting the dentist because of CV-19, but after hearing about Mountain View's procedures from my best friend I gave it a go. Mountain View is SPOT ON with their protection procedures so I felt totally safe AND the staff is friendly and supportive! Bonus - not once did I feel rushed as I discussed my dental concerns with Dr. Charlie. Excellent care and personable crew. Having moved from Seattle where I had been going to the same dentist for over 30 years, I was worried about finding a new one here in Anacortes up to the standards I had grown to expect. Dr Charlie's credentials are first rate and I have been extremely pleased with the modern technology and the care and treatment I have received from everyone here. I have enjoyed going to Mountain View Dental since moving to Anacortes. They are friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable.

You feel welcome. All the staff even talk to you. During cleaning of my teeth. I was told what each procedure was about. The billing was also explained so I understood.

Top notch staff and dental care. Always prompt with appointments which I really value. I feel comfortable with all of the dentists and technicians. Added plus, they are local and conveniently located! KEMurphy

Mountain View Dental is a very caring place to have dental work done. They are always attentive and pleasant. They seem to be we'll organized and prompt as well.

We are fairly new to Anacortes, and simply hated to leave our dental clinic in SoCal. Pretty high standards were set by our dentist. . . absolutely met by Mountain View Dental Center. All the ingredients for a top notch Dentist's Office. A very modern office that is very appealing from the moment you walk in. A staff that engages in a very friendly manner, a true sense that they enjoy what they do. The entire staff on every visit has been fun and professional since the first time we came here years ago. The dentistry, treatment and everything else presents itself as very up to date and new. The kids enjoy the positivity and of course the treasure chest at the end, we the parents love the fact we feel like this is the best choice for our family. 5 stars without question. The worst experience in my life!!! They did a poor job and over charged for the work they did. They used all my dental benefits, never fixed the problem, still insisted that I come in and finish the work they were doing even though I told them I couldn't afford an additional $500+ after paying $900+ out of pocket. I only went in for one issue and came out with 2. While fixing the first issue they took it upon themselves to do additional work that was on my treatment plan, but never agreed to have done...using ALL my dental benefits and then insisting I pay out of pocket for the rest. I told them to keep the crown, I wanted nothing more to do with their office...they told me they would work something out since I told them I could not afford any additional amount...they said they would work something out...I guess that means sending me a bill for the amount owing. Makes me sick to my stomach how dentists can be shaddy in this state!!! I called to see why I was being billed and was told to pay it or it would go to collections!! Update post their response. This is a very factual account of the information in my opinion. No matter how you want to paint your version, I am on the other side stuck paying money I don't feel I owe. As you stated how you discuss treatment plans with patients... I discussed with you and your office the fact that I couldn't afford the additional $500+ out of pocket when I already paid $900+ which includes the amount I financed. I specifically went in and asked how much I owed so I could pay in full (I don't like surprises). That amount was $700+, which I did pay in full. Imagine my surprise when I got the call saying..oops you still owe us more money, so let's be happy about it and gladly hand you money, THAT I DON'T HAVE!! Update: the cavity that I initially went in there for and they fixed...fell out and now I have to pay yet another dentist to have them fix it. there is no reason for it to have fallen out within a yrs time. My wife and I have been going to this practice for 7 years and love both the doctors and have received fine care. WE both especially like Karen, our hygenist, she is gentle, friendly and helps us by telling us what areas we need to work on. She is great!

About four years ago I was searching for a new dental office. My dental needs were maybe a little more than most so, I wanted a more up to date practice and especially one I could trust. That search landed me on the doorstep of Mountainview Dental Center in Anacortes, three blocks from my home. I absolutely love this office and staff! Not sure if hygienists get a thank you from their patients after teeth cleaning, but I gave Devry my heartfelt thanks for doing such a thorough job she does on mine, she said she was just doing her job! Always a pleasure to come in to Mountain View Dental Center, the place is welcoming. I also like the fact that Dr Collins is proactive in dental care - he will recommend work done to prevent further damage to preserve the tooth. He is also very knowledgeable about health issues that could be detected through an oral exam. I was new in town, looking for a dentist. Went to Mountain View for my regular cleaning and exam. Had the most thorough, educational dental exam ever. Dr. Collins reviewed the photos they had taken of my teeth, made recommendations and answered questions. He is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I had two old crowns replaced and couldn't be happier with the quality of care. Highly recommend. I was new in town, looking for a dentist. Went to Mountain View for my regular cleaning and exam. I was seen at this office about a year and a half ago. They weren't able to help me. I had a small bone protrusion from an old wisdom tooth extraction site that was bothering me. They couldn't find it, and sent me to an oral surgeon down the street, who fixed my problem literally in seconds. Apparently, after billing my insurance, there was a $71 balance. The bill for the $71 was sent by Dr Collins' office to my old address because I forgot to tell the office I moved. My phone number did not change. I never received a call. I had no idea I owed the office money. My assistant called the office to make an appointment for me, because I was experiencing dental pain, and they told her that I owed the office $71. My assistant paid the bill during that phone call. The next day, I received a call from the office telling me that the dentist refuses to see me again because I hadn't paid the $71. I think this is beyond petty. Dr Collins didn't call me, he had his assistant do it, and she talked down to me as if I was dirt. After telling the office assistant I would be posting negative reviews of the office, Dr Collins called me to tell me I was a bad guy, and he was a good guy. Yes, I cussed him out for that. Update: Now Dr Collins has posted a reply to my complaint. He's lying. My assistant did say that the reason I needed to be seen was for dental pain. It seems Dr Collins, in addition to relying on mail as the primary way to contact people, doesn't realize that you can't get away with abusing people these days without bad reviews showing up online. He didn't even help me! I don't get paid when I can't help someone. Update: I've received another letter telling me, as if it hadn't already been made perfectly clear, that this office will no longer see me BUT they would be willing to see me for emergency needs for 30 days. This is such a pleasant, professional office. The staff is friendly and welcoming; the dentistry is driven by common sense, current best practices, and patient-centered. We (our whole family) actually look forward to our appointments here!

Mountain view dental is the only dental center I trust. Being someone who does not love the dentist I was nervous when I first came here as a new patient but they made me feel so comfortable! Everyone was extremely nice and patient with me. There work is also incredible I have never had a problem with any of my work they have completed! Our family are long time patients of this clinic. My three kids have never seen any other dentist because they love it hear so much. I love that my kids have so much fun going here and that the staff is so wonderful to us all. My kids all get excited at least a week before their appointments. They do everything they can to keep costs out of pocket down, which is wonderful. They took great care of us when our insurance was no longer compatible, and we love them so much we switched to insurance that allowed us to stay. The entire staff is cheerful, helpful, and always so kind. We've gone through my shattered tooth, my bite guard, my kids' chipped teeth (two of my kids managed that trick) and simple check-ups and cleaning.
