Dr. Umesh Hansraj Gheewala

I had such a poor experience at the Urgent Care due to Dr. Gheewala. He claimed they were unable to do incisions and draining at this urgent care. Ok... If he doesn't know how or is uncomfortable, that's fine. But to say no one there does it? He must have mis-read my lab reports, because he claimed I had a history of MRSA (I've never had it), and then proceeded to prescribe two different antibiotics. The absolutely worst part of his practice, is he did not listen at all to anything I said.

Terrible. I’ve seen him at the adult urgent care clinic on two separate occasions. I have had to go back again on both occasions. The first time, I had a visible leg infection from a turf abrasion. Leg was swollen and extremely painful. He refused to give me antibiotics and said it will get better on its own after a couple of weeks. I explained, that it was extremely painful. Nope. He sent me on my way. I went back to the clinic for the same issue two days later. The RN tested my leg for staph (it was negative, which was a relief). She prescribed some antibiotics. Cleared up the infection in a couple of days. I will walk out if I have to see him again.

After having been injured, Dr. Gheewala was the first doctor I’d seen. I reported having issues in two different areas - but, he insisted on focusing on just one. He ensured me the second area was pain that radiated from the first, and wouldn’t order a MRI for me. I requested a MRI 3 times over a period of 3 months of bed rest that he prescribed. He always declined, saying he was sure that bed rest would prove curative. I went to another doctor after 3 months of bed rest with no relief of pain, who had a MRI done for me. Sure enough, I had torn tendons in my leg, that Dr. Gheewala missed, due to being overconfident and narrow minded. This results in me having to undergo surgery and physical therapy for 4 months after - months that wouldn’t have been wasted if he sought to find the cause of my pain. He should no longer be in practice if he chooses to ignore a patient’s main cause of concern.
