I was desperate to find a specialist in the area of gastroentorology and I picked Dr. Berzin just by seeing his picture at the GI department in BIDMC. I believe the face of someone speaks a lot of their personality and I trusted my instinct. I was absolutely right ~ Dr. Berzin turned out to be the most incredible gastroenterologist I have ever had in my life. He is not only highly educated and talented by nature, but also deeply caring as a person and always on top of his doctor ~ patient relationship in critical situations, prepared with the most current information regarding the health issue he is treating! He always listens very carefully what his patients have to say and with patience and delicacy, he explains the different perspectives in the treatment he thinks is right for his patients no matter how hard is sometimes to convince someone who is scared and reserved in exploring their options! Dr. Berzin is the kind of doctor I trust with my full body and soul. I feel so lucky to have found him!!! As a physician and a patient of Dr. Berzin, I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is an extremely competent and knowledgeable doctor, in addition to being very personable and caring.

Dr. Tyler Berzin is an incredibly talented physician. He is compassionate, caring, and brilliant. He skillfully performed a complicated procedure which ultimately saved my mother’s life. We will be forever grateful.

I would like to think that Dr. Berzin is the best doctor of the world in his are. He takes great care of his patients and explains everything to calm the patient down. I visited several Gastroenterologists before deciding to do the colonoscopy by Dr. Berzin. I could see the clear differences. My Cologuard result was positive. Everyone was trying to scare me. Dr. Berzin was different. He told me the facts and helped me to understand the result. It was so assuring! It may be difficult to get an appointment with his everyone would like to have him as their doctor. So plan early. You will be very happy.

Very good experience with Dr. Berzin and his team during my colonoscopy. You could immediately see the expertise and confidence abounded with this team at Beth Israel.

Although he is an approachable and wise man, his actions surpass that of his words. He is part of a caring team that saved my life at B.I.. I feel blessed to have the gift of his continued intervention.

Perfect doctor in terms his age (not too young, not too old), credentials, prestigious hospital affiliation, and confidence inspiring bed side manner. Describe what you want in a perfect doctor and you'll be describing Dr. Berzin.

I highly recommend Dr. Berzin. Unfortunately I am no longer living in Boston, so I can no longer see him. However, when I lived there for several years, he provided excellent care, and was always extremely kind and thoughtful. Even when I moved away and had some health issues, he would answer my phone calls and take the time to give me medical advice. If only all doctors were like Dr. Berzin!
