Dr. Dandade performed surgery on my daughter. Very professional and thorough. He really goes the extra mile. Excellent bedside manner.

He was my doctor for several years. After the birth of my second child I asked about Essure. I informed him about my nickel allergy. He insisted that Essure would be fine. It was a different type of nickel and I had nothing to worry about. I trusted him. He also failed to inform me that the hsg test needed after placement wouldn't be covered by insurance. He said that I could come back periodically and he would do several ultrasounds. After 18 months of having Essure he said my coils were still in place and I was completely sterilized. Dr. 18 months I also complained several times regarding the deterioration of my health he ignored all of my complaints when I brought up that it might be Essure. 3 years after Essure placement I became pregnant. Upon seeing him for confirmation he informed me that it was MY FAULT! He told me I was completely sterilized yet somehow his memory had failed him and he placed the blame on me also while completely ignoring my deteriorating Health from my nickel allergy from Essure. Also after the birth of my second child I had gone in for a checkup. I informed him that after a drunken night that I had unprotected sex. His response was " at least somebody is getting some drunken and sex" he must have seen the shocked look on my face because he immediately responded with "sorry, my wife is pregnant. I'm a bit frustrated" I should have known then that he was unprofessional and not to trust him. After having a surgery that was supposed to improve the quality of my life, Dr. Dandade destroyed my life. I spent over 6 years in bed suffering from debilitating nerve pain. My permanent pain is better managed now, but I’ll never reclaim the time I lost with my children. I cannot work and help support my family. I’ve lost many relationships because too many people can’t handle watching their love ones suffer, so they abandon them instead. Dr Dandade was the first person to abandon me. During every postoperative visit, I told him I was concerned about my level of pain, still months after the surgery. First, he didn’t care and didn’t try to do anything to fix the problem. Also, he never put my concerns or complaints in my medical charts. It’s as if it never happened. Get a second opinion! Ask questions and if you’re not given satisfactory answers, find another doctor! He may be an ok doctor but his arrogance and his tendency to take short cuts is a dangerous combination. Good luck and stand up for your rights as a patient, because no one else is going to advocate for your needs.
