He was very nice. He answered all my questions. Awesome experience.

Dr. Carlyle did bilateral total hip replacement a little over a year ago. I feel great. It's as if I haven't had any hip replacement. My gait is strong and steady. My incisions as so small you can't hardly see them. Thank you Dr. Carlyle for giving me my life back.

Very friendly and caring staff. Dr. Carlyle has a very patient and informative manner; he listens well, and explains in plain language without being at all condescending.

Great doctor. Office is run well. Staff is competent. Everything was explained so well, and all my questions were answered.

MY friend Mohammad Afzal recently had a knee replaced by Dr. Carlyle and it was a great experience. We just had a after surgery follow up appointment today and it all went very well. Also Sandra, his assistant was wonderful through out the process from the beginning. After visiting Dr. Carlyle, I feel incredibly fortunate to have chosen him. First off, his clinic runs very efficiently and I was attended to within five minutes. X-rays followed five minutes later and Dr. Carlyle walked in five minutes after that. He spent at least 30 minutes explaining what he saw on the x-rays, describing my options, and answering questions in a straight forward manner. He treated both knees with cortisone injections which did their magic within 36 hours and provided a good deal of relief. Next off is a round of injections with Orthovisc which he said may provide some additional relief. When I decide on surgery it will definitely be with him. I loved his sense of humor too. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that as he was departing he inquired into my wife's hand which was immobilized in a wrist band. He checked some pressure points to ask where it hurt - even though the appointment was for me. I am so impressed with this doctor - as was my wife.

Dr.Carlyle has replaced two hips for me and I was walking the next day. No pain pills needed. HE is a great Dr.

He did not take time to explain procedure. He does not listen and show he cares for patients. Did not give much information about post opp for for my knee surgery.

He did a great job on my supraspinatus tear repair. I will now be having surgery on my other shoulder (poor genes).

I agree 100% with others that Dr. Carlyle has horrible bedside manner! All I could think when I walked out of appt was what a jerk. I thought he must have just gotten out of bed. Acted sleepy , arrogant,condescending , not caring, not listening. I felt stupid for being there. I don’t doubt his competency as a Dr. It’s just his manner. I immediately made an appt with another Dr. Omg night and day! That Dr spent time with me, was pleasant and LISTENED, even the x-rays were more thorough.

When I first went to Dr. Carlyle, he told me there was no way my knee tear was a meniscus tear, and it was just normal wear and tear. I had to ask him for an MRI. Well, I went to another doctor today and turns out, it was a meniscus tear. Carlyle is incompetent and I’m not convinced he even cares about his patients.

Dr Carlyle is straight to the point with his patients, Very profession, Honest, Caring. I am so glad to have found him.

Really fast visit; he gave another steroid injection in exactly the same place as my rheumatologist, only 5 days after she did the same injection and after I told him about this; he seemed to discount the ability of another physician. I really feel that this second injection, so close to the first, was too much.

What a fabulous surgeon!!! Dr Carlisle did a hip replacement for me and it changed my life!!! Great bedside manners and takes the time for any questions!!! 5 Stars +!

I am absolutely baffled by some of the reviews on here. Dr. Carlyle performed an anterior hip replacement on my husband and my husband was back at work two weeks later. Dr. Carlyle has a great sense of humor and his skills as a surgeon are simply ksuperior. My husband’s experience was excellent.

I went to see Dr. Carlyle today because my hips are very painful when I walk for exercise. He was very pleasant, courteous, and knowledgeable. He showed concern and interest in my case. I was extremely pleased with him.

I've been seeing Dr. Carlyle for years. Always solves my issues from knee surgery, hip and shoulder bursitis.

I have never been to a specialist that treated me and my daughter so poorly. I am paying for services, and expect to be treated like a paying customer, but he made me feel like I was asking the wrong questions, and would make rude gestures. It is not fair to anyone to be treated this way by someone in this profession. Doctors needs to secure a patient emotionally, and he simply took no time to do so. I would not recommend him to anyone at all. There are other specialists nearby that care.

My history with Dr. Carlyle goes back over 17 years when he first operated on my daughter's ankle who was 15 at the time and have been seeing him for various issues since. For those of you who may not like his "bedside manner" then you just do not understand his personality and refuse to listen for a few minutes to understand his knowledge and the fact you are in the hands of a top surgeon in his field.

Run from this horrible physician. He ruined my husbands shoulder which changed his life forever! We could have sued him, but were in Calif. taking care of my grandfather who was dying.& upon returned, statute of limitations wouldn't allow us to sue!. After surgery, while my husband was in physical therapy, my husband started complaining that he suddenly had excruciating pain in his shoulder/arm Dr. Carlyle said to "man up" & refused to do an MRI. We found later,continuing PT damaged the shoulder

He is probably a very competent doctor however his bedside manner leaves something to be desired. I found his way of communicating and answering questions rude and condescending. I don't need to see him again but if I do ever require another orthopedic visit I will go elsewhere.

I love Dr Carlyle! He is a great surgeon. He replaced both of my knees as well as my mother's and sister's knees. Dr. Carlyle is compassionate and caring. He will not coddle you but he will fix your joints. I have and will continue to refer Dr. Carlyle to my friends and family!

This guy is an incompetent jerk. He doesn't know what he's talking about and it shows when you try to ask him questions.

I had an ankle injury and booked an appointment with Dr. Carlyle the next day. I had an xray in office and taken to exam room. Dr. Carlyle came in, declared xray was good, poked around my ankle, put me in air cast, told me to come back in a month if it was still hurting, and out the door he went. Another doc saw and told me to get it checked out elsewhere and I had two fractures and a significant bone bruise that would have turned into fracture had I continued to wear the air cast.

Dr. Carlyle did a total hip replacement on my 92 year old mother. The next day my mother was up and walking. She smiled and said "I have no pain". This was in November and she hasn't slowed down a bit. My mother says that she prayed for a miracle and got one!

Dr. Carlyle has treated my 7 year old daughter and myself for various injuries. He has always been friendly and caring so I'm not sure why all the reviews say his bedside manner is bad. He is efficient and direct and a great doctor. I'd recommend him and would go back in a heartbeat.

I went with my mother to Dr Carlyle who has been treating her for knee pain for a few weeks. I have never met anyone so rude, arrogant and uncaring as this man. I would not take my dog to this man for treatment. My mother now has another Doctor for her care. Please Dr Carlyle, take some classes in bedside manners, how to treat others with kindness and concern. You could learn from your staff. They were very kind.

I don't like his bedside manner. Unfriendly. I asked if the sling was the best option for a broken collarbone (the hospital had given me a sling). He said the sling is the best and if I don't agree then I am welcome to go somewhere else and get another opinion.

I went from being almost completely disabled prior to my hip surgery to being able to walk 3.5 miles again. After my anterior hip replacement Dr. Carlyle gave me my life back and I'll be forever grateful!
