Dr. Tony Pappachan Kannarkat

I called this doctor because I was looking for a new primary doctor. I was having an issue with finding one because of a couple of medications I had been receiving, but only the one that my prior doctor thought may be an issue told me to see a different doctor for and I did. So I told this to Doctor Kannarkat and he told me on the phone that if I get that one from another doctor he can prescribe the others. I did ask if he had a problem with the other ones and he said, he's a doctor! I can prescribe them. I made an appointment for the following day. When I went in the woman at the desk who was not there the day before did not see an appointment for me and asked the doctor. He took came out and took me to another room and told me he could prescribe some of them but not certain ones because of his insurance which made no sense. He also told me he did not make an appointment for me at all but he would see me and could prescribe some of them. The only concern was I had prior to coming was his age. It said he was 75 years old and I did not want to have to look for a new doctor again if he retired soon, but he told me when there he was actually 77 but told people he was 65. Parking was also terrible. It was a cold day and my wife was using my car so I took my Harley out for about the second time in a few years. I myself are about 70, so it was not a great ride but it turned out to be a ride for nothing. I for my papers and copy of my insurance card back and left. I would not have went to the trouble to go there if he did not make an appointment for me. For what ever reason, I have had trouble with a number of doctors with a couple of the medications even though I had not had any issues with the four primary doctors with them in almost 60 years. Some tell me they are controlled substances and I say to them they are all controlled substances? Some will tell me they are not comfortable prescribing them. We are not talking about a opioid or other pain medication so I do not understand this. I think this guy doctor Tony Kannarkat should have retired years ago because him mind clearly had. The absolute best Dr I've ever visited. He's been my Dr for the past 28yrs and I've never had a problem or bad experience with him. His level of professionalism is first class and knowledge of his work is excellent.

This doctor just talks to talk very confusing to understand.

Worst most unprofessional uninformative inempathic doctor ever. Rude court incomprehensible. If I could give him Infinite Negative Stars I would. Truly, I wonder where he was even educated. IGNORANT..WRONG DIAGNOSIS WASTE OF TIME SPACE MONEY AND ENERGY

Very professional and understanding,

Dr. Kannarkat is a very professional, kind, and thorough physician. I visited him for the first time about 3 months ago and at that time he took a medical history and asked about me in context of my family and any preexisting conditions and examined me. This is not unusual but his manner was very relaxing as well as professional and led me to speak openly about my health concerns. In addition, his office is very busy but he still has time for each individual and you do not feel rushed. Sally, his receptionist, is very professional and kind as well. What Luck!!! I found the right fit, in today's world that's next impossible. During this coronavirus outbreak he diagnosed and treated me for pneumonia successfully without an office visit!! I feel fine now. Please do not hesitate to make an appointment his medical analysis is impeccable.

I echo the other reviews on this page. Dr. Tony Kannarkat is sexually inappropriate and sexually molests women who come into his office. I'm 28 now, but I must've been about 19 or 20 years old when my mother brought me into Dr. Kannarkat's office to have a routine checkup. I had two visits to the office. On one occasion, as a part of "a breast exam," Dr. Tony Kannarkat asked me to bend over, with my hands on top of my head, while he felt my breasts up from a position behind me. I was totally topless. Nothing about the position was necessary for a routine breast exam. It was totally uncalled for and inappropriate--what he was doing was sexually molesting me. The only reason I let it happen is because I was young and naive. I hadn't been to a doctor since I was a child and thought it was normal for a doctor to be able to see you unclothed without a dressing gown present. Plus, Dr. Kannarkat is an unassuming man. He wasn't aggressive, instead, he used his medical profession as a guise to get me to undress. During the first visit, he saw I had a small mole right below my armpit. He asked if I wanted it removed. I said yes. He scheduled me for another appointment. The time he scheduled was just past regular office hours, maybe around 5:30pm. No other patients were in the office, no receptionist was at the desk. No one was there but me and Dr. Kannarkat. It was definitely strange that we were alone, but again I was young, I hadn't been to a doctor in a long time, I thought maybe it was normal. The mole was just under my armpit, right under my braline. He had me take off my shirt and undo my bra to remove my mole. In the process of removing the mole, the bra came off. After he removed my mole he started asking about other issues, and then asked if I had any issues with vaginal discharge. I said yes, sometimes I do have vaginal discharge, which is totally a normal thing for women to have, but again, I was young and naive. I didn't know this was normal and no cause for concern. This was his excuse to ask me to take off my pants so he could examine me. At this point, I'm totally topless. If I took off my pants and underwear so that he could do this examination, I would have been totally naked, with no one but him and me in the office. That's when I panicked, said I was uncomfortable, and made and excuse to leave. He took advantage of me and I'm sure he has taken advantage of countless other women who trusted that a licensed doctor would never use his position to molest and sexually harass women. I'm sure it's happened to many women since. In the car, my mom told me it would be his word against mine, so I didn't say anything. If this has happened to you recently, please report it. One of the best Doctors i have ever encountered in my life!

Oh my God! I had the exact same experience!!! I was new in town and in my 20s when I visited for something totally unrelated to breasts. But he lifted my top and bra, started pressing my breasts. I was traumatized for 2-3 days as I was never treated that way by a male doctor before. I am very particular that only my gynac( female) performs such exams. He is very caring and understanding as well as informative.

Dr Kannarkat is extremely caring and always on call. No Dr works as hard as he does.
