Dr. Harris is great surgeon. He called to followed-up after a few days to check on the status of my wife's umbilical hernia surgery, and provided further instructions.

I had a Laparoscopic Bilateral Inguinal Hernia repair. This was my first surgery ever (I am 69) and I was afraid, doubtful and reluctant to get it. At the initial consultation, Dr Harris explained what the process entailed, what to expect and made me feel better. I was given written info regarding pre-op and post-op instructions, and also what to expect each week of recovery. I followed the instructions for Post-Op Pain Management, and pain was minimal. I did receive a call from Dr Harris after the surgery. And had a follow-up visit with Dr Harris about 3 weeks after the surgery. The visit was not rushed and according to Dr Harris everything was going well and as planned. My recovery went well and progressed as expected. I really felt I was back to normal about 4 weeks after surgery. I definitely recommend Dr Harris and his staff.

I had a very good experience with Dr. Harris and the memorial care surgery center of Orange County. In addition to Dr. Harris, all of the nurses and the anesthesiologist gave me excellent care. I did not experience any complications and did not need any opiate based pain medication.

All stages of the process went well. Prepo, surgery, and postop. Was also happy with the detailed information about what to expect after surgery. Overall very satisfied with final results.

I was referred to Dr. Harris from a friend for my dad’s recurrent hernia and seeing him was the best medical decision I made for my dad! The only sensation was a slight soreness in my abdomen where he inserted the instruments, and that was a feeling like I had done too many sit-ups. Dr. Harris provides patients an excellent recovery chart detailing how they can expect to feel and what level of activity they can perform at various points during the three weeks after surgery. After three weeks, I had a follow-up appointment and Dr. Harris cleared me to resume all normal activity - while cautioning me to ease into my regular routine. I’m now back to swimming, biking, running, hiking, weightlifting, golf and paddling with no setbacks. I had a surgery that I’ve been wanting to do for over 10 years. I didn’t want any doctor to do it so I searched for a hernia specialist. Dr Harris is probably the best you could ask for. The surgery went super smooth and quick. I feel great now and I am already working out my abs again slowly. Technically I’m still recovering with some internal healing, but that’s normal. I never got to meet Dr Harris, but wanted to relate my experience with his office. I scheduled an appointment with his office and after multiple inquiries regarding my insurance and problem, including a question from Dr Harris an appointment was finally “verified”. Then on Friday afternoon, one workday prior to this appointment, his office called and said my insurance wasn’t verified. I gave them the card # again, then they called back 2 hours later and said I was out of network and after 3 weeks of being scheduled, had to give an answer to keep the appointment within 20 minutes…on Friday afternoon when other offices were closed! The last one thankfully was repaired by Dr. Harris and his wonderful and efficient team at California Hernia Specialists. I wish I had seen Dr. Harris about 3 years sooner. I didn't expect the whole process to be so smooth, efficient and quick. I made an appointment, saw Dr. Harris 10 days later, had surgery 2 weeks after that, and was home and resting relatively comfortably about 4 hours after my wife dropped me at the surgery center. Fast efficient process and great surgeon. From the time I noticed Hernia until surgery finished was about 12 days. Surgery was quick and painless. I would like to strongly recommend Dr. Harris at Fibroid Treatment Center. I had a myomectomy in Jan 2020 and a few short months later, I felt worse. After reaching out to my gynecologist it was recommended I have a hysterectomy or a partial hysterectomy-I was still in my 30's and being a believer, I knew this was not an option for me and my family. I researched alternatives and met with Dr. Harris. I had UFE done about 3 weeks ago and my recovery has not been easy. I was in a lot of pain and continue to have a lot of cramping but Dr. Harris and his staff have been reaching out to me and walking me through my recovery process. The care and treatment received by Dr, Harris was exceptional. Two hernia repairs were performed, which were long overdue, having become increasingly bothersome and more uncomfortable over the past several months. I had an umbilical hernia and was very nervous to get it fixed. Walking into Dr. Harris’s office in Newport Beach, his staff was very welcoming and friendly. Dr. Harris and his staff made me feel very comfortable about my surgery and answered all of my questions.

I saw Dr Harris today for a hernia consultation. My primary doctor diagnoised it and I have already visited another surgeon who confirmed it as well. I was seeing Dr Harris to get a second opinion. When I arrived at the office, I was told that the paperwork that I filled out and emailed back to the office was never received. They then checked the inbox of the person I sent it back to and they found it. Then they said that 3 things were not filled in, and I had to show them on my phone that everything was actually filled in. When I saw Dr Harris, he did a quick check of me standing up and he said I didn't have a hernia. He didn't seem interested in discussing it more even though I told him 2 other doctors have told me that I do - and that I was shown how to push it back when it pops out. The whole "consultation" lasted 10 minutes and he rushed out of the exam room. My impression is that the office is terribly disorganized and the Dr is not interested in treating older patients.

Dr . Harris did an amazing job! His instructions we’re very clear and my experience was exactly as he detailed. I experience some mild pain that aspirin was able to relieve. I never used any pain prescription medicine.

Had a hernia that has been bothering me for the past 3 years and couldn't get any help in other hospitals. So thankful that my daughter found this clinic that specialized in hernias and didn't have to worry about not having insurance. Great hernia surgeon! My husband had umbilical Hernia surgery several years ago and ended up with a large ugly scar. My scar is basically non-existent! Dr Harris and the staff were completely professional and so organized. None of my questions went unanswered. Surgery was quick with minimal discomfort. I am so glad that I chose Dr. Harris for my umbilical hernia repair. I saw a surgeon in my area that I wasn't sure about and decided to look for a different surgeon in who specializes in hernia repair. I found Dr. Harris' website and videos and once I went for a consultation, I knew he was the right surgeon. Attention to detail is very important and I feel that Dr. Harris has done that superbly with is office staff, the cleanliness of the facility and all the information he provides. He gives very detailed information regarding the surgery and this was so helpful in preparing and recovery from the operation. Recovery was just as he said it would be. Also a bonus is that I can't even see a scar!

Inguinal Hernia repair. First surgeon insisted on an "open repair " procedure due to the size. Dr. Harris recommended laparoscopic repair, and would do the open repair if I insisted. I have had an open repair on the other side years ago and I am glad that I chose Dr. Harris recommendation for the laparoscopic procedure, the recovery time and associated pain were both significantly better.

Hernia surgery went very smoothly. Dr. Harris was incredibly reassuring to me and my wife pre and post op. My pain level was moderate right away, minimal for three days and virtually nonexistent after that. Highly recommend Dr. Harris!

I scheduled a phone appointment online & confirmed my info. I was NEVER called. I called the office back & they basically overlooked it! Then I find out that the ultrasound is NOT even offered at the office. The office is quick to mention the $200 office consultation after you complete your ultrasound on your own. The embolization surgery will be $6000 if they don't accept your insurance. What a SCAM & waste of my time!
