Dr. Todd John Baumeister

He is one lousy arrogant doctor. He is the most condescending doctor I have encountered in the medical field in over 65 years. The one-star ratings above I confirm. I pay taxes, obey the law, and volunteer for my community. Dr. Baumeister should go back to Chicago. Baumeister requires his victims (so-called patients) to fill out a form with a hundred questions or more, rating your life on a scale from 1 to 10. ( He also asks what kind of lousy friends you may have.) Most questions are leading questions implying you must be a junky or 2nd class citizen. A PHD would take days trying to answer his asinine questions correctly. Yet, you as a patient have about 10 minutes to admit you are not worth the effort or time of the esteemed Dr. Baumeister.

I went to Dr. Baumeister with concerns about insomnia and knee pain and have no history of drug abuse. He would not make eye contact or answer direct questions. He never examined or even touched me. Typed endlessly at the computer making a treatment plan without consulting me. Made several snide comments like "I'm going to dig up the dirt on you" when going through my medical records. When I told him I felt disrespected, he replied: "disrespect is not a verb." At the end of the appoint, after I asked him why he was behaving so rudely, he said "I'm not the one who showed up late to my appointment." When I showed him the text from the clinic with the appointment time--I was on time, he said that the hospital had made a mistake and left the room without speaking to me. So basically I'm still in pain and unable to sleep and now I have to deal with being treated like garbage by the person that was supposed to help me

Weird man. He spent nearly an hour on computer, apparently going over my records, in front of me, while I sat waiting to have a consult with him. He said some pretty weird things, not very coherent, and unrelated to the reason for my visit. I did not go to him for medication, btw. I was referred because my insurance was not accepted by 2 other providers ( neurologists) and he was the closest in area and does take medicaid. Hence, he was not first choice. Very unprofessional and dehumanizing. He made comments about a provider I see, as well, which was uncalled for. He did very little in terms of anything that comes close to an examination. I will be making formal complaint.

Dr B is a great pain mgmt doc. (I've had a really horrible one before.) Dr B has been a lifesaver. A lot of Drs don't believe how horrendous living with a frozen abdomen and adhesions is while he gets it. I'm able to work and support myself again ONLY because he has provided me with proper pain mgmt care. He's now located in Goldendale and I drive all the way there (a 12 hour there and back) because he's that competent. Tku for giving me hope and the ability to live life again. God bless you!

Dr. Baumeister is an arrogant Dr. who, in my experience, prefers to be listened to, not to be involved in a discussion, especially when it has to do with your health and pain. Very condescending. In addition to talking to me as if I were a child, while rapping off a list of medications to see if there were any I had taken (vs just listening to himself say them), he incorrectly entered ones I have not taken, missed ones I do-that was because I was talking to him. Went through the motions only
