My daughter had the best experience here. Everyone was so kind and nice. Our hygienist was amazing. She put my daughter at ease and explained everything she would do. My daughter who has always cried at the dentist did so well. I would highly recommend this dental practice!

Had our first visit for my daughter who is almost 2, and it went so much better than I was expecting! Dr Tina and all her staff are absolutely wonderful! Dr Tina and Megan were so patient with my daughter and I couldn’t be more pleased with the professionalism and kindness we were shown! We love Dr. Melissa Blake and all of the staff. They are so warm and act with such care towards my son. This is the first dentist we've been to (he's been to 3!) where he's let them clean and floss his teeth. Would highly recommend to any parents who have children who feel nervous about the dentist! They do a great job!

Dr. Merhoff & Associates are wonderful! My daughter is 3 years old and her first appointment with Dr. Melissa was great! The staff was very polite, patient, and the whole experience was great! Will recommend to others!!

My daughter loved her first visit and has been asking to go back! Every staff member was friendly and informative and made it a good experience for both patient and parent. Good environment for anxious kids.

I have had many issues with this office. Once, I had a tooth that had to be pulled. That should have been no problem. I was screaming out of pain because the anesthesia did not work on me. I was told it was “just pressure.” A hygienist came in and told me I was “disturbing other patients..” Rightfully so! I was having a tooth ripped out and no one believed that I was actually in pain. Children do understand pain, and these doctors did not believe me and gaslit me into believing it was “just pressure” Another time my sister had to have 4 teeth removed and she was too small for the amount of anesthesia they had planned on using. They decided to make her come in two days for two teeth each. They determined that a proper way of restraining her from squirming (which she insists she did not do) would be to have a staff member sit on her legs. At this time she was about 90 lbs, with a grown woman sitting on her. I have since switched dentists, fortunately. Please avoid this office. I have had many issues with this office. This was our second visit and it was just as good as the first! Everyone we encountered was warm and friendly. My 3.5 year old daughter had a wonderful experience!

Dr. Merhoff and her staff are AMAZING!!! They are so sweet and gentle with their patients! My daughter was very nervous, but she was able to give her own dental check-up to the stuffed monkey that they gave her to hold and that really helped!! My son was just a little anxious, but as soon as they showed him his teeth and what they were doing, he was good to go! I HIGHLY recommend their team to anyone looking for a pediatric dental office!! We absolutely LOVE this dental practice, let me tell you why: We delayed taking our daughter to the dentist until she was a little over three years old (trust me, we learned this lesson the hard way! ) Although the first dental practice we took her to was absolutely outstanding in their quality of care, the treatment options they offered for her cavities were simply unaffordable for our family. We live in Greensboro and called several different practices for different quotes, including the pediatric dental school at Chapel Hill. We were recommended to Tina S. Merhoff and Associates by my husband’s coworker, who had taken her son there over twenty years ago! I was hesitant to travel all the way from Winston-Salem from Greensboro but decided to give it a shot. From the very first phone call, I felt welcomed, at ease, and comfortable scheduling an appointment. The staff are all very knowledgeable, accommodating, and helpful. I truly believe they want what is best for the child and their family. Although this may not work with every child, they offered to treat River‘s cavities in four different visits using nitrous oxide (laughing gas) rather than general anesthesia since she was so well behaved in the chair. They offer a 5% discount if you pay all in cash, which helps. Also, during this holiday season, they offered a 10% discount if the family brought in 10 canned good items to donate to their food drive. River looks forward to going to the dentist each time. She loves walking through the “teeny tiny door”, built especially for people about 3 feet tall. Everyone there knows her by name and is excited to see her. The office is very family friendly and offers comfortable seating and children’s programming as well as some children’s books if you need to bring along younger siblings. In fact, one of the wonderful front desk receptionists let my 18-month-old daughter sit in her office chair and played with her while I paid for River‘s bill which was incredibly sweet, unexpected, and very helpful. I believe this practice will do everything that is reasonable within their power to help families do the right thing for their children’s dental health. The staff was really great and helpful. As a single dad this experience was the easiest I have had with a medical facility. They also helped me during the appointment with tips and tricks for my child. Highly recommended for anyone unsure where to go or place that is good.

There are times in life when the details of how something comes together seems too good to be true. I have come to learn that these instances are the work of God, and finding Tina Merhoff's office was one of these times. Our daughter has suffered extreme dental anxiety since she was a toddler. We've been to countless dentists and have had setbacks and victories along the way, but we came to a point in the road where we knew sedation was the best next step. I struggled with that decision as a mother, and while I knew it was best for her to minimize any future trauma, it still caused me to feel shame and worry for my child. From the minute I called Dr Tina's office and spoke with Lauren on the phone, I felt peace about the way things were working out. We were accommodated in ways that were very much appreciated and were provided excellent care. I am thankful for the ladies in this office and for the way they loved and cared for my family. Customer service matters, and the way you treat people makes a difference. The people in this office like their job, you can feel it. Our family prefers a biological dentist with a holistic approach, but Dr. Tina and her staff never pushed me about the choices we make as a family and I appreciated that. I cannot say enough good things about the people and the place. Every person my son and I interacted with went above and beyond in being patient and empathetic (this was my son's first visit to the dentist, and he's anxious by nature). We were referred to Dr. Tina by our local family dentist for our little girl (4 years old) to have some dental work after a HORRIBLE experience at a different pediatric office. We called on Monday to get an appointment and they got us in that Wednesday. We love 2 hours away, so we were pretty leery as to how things would go. When we first got there the front desk staff was so kind to us and radiated happiness, Elizabeth was the hygienist and my little girl quickly became very fond of her and even referred to her as her “new friend”, she was so gentle and patient with my daughter the entire time and explained everything she was going to do before she done it to ease her nerves and mine too. Once Dr. Tina came in she was just a beam of light compared to the previous office we visited, she interacted so well with my daughter and was so thorough with her exam as well as her treatment plan and even done her 1st treatment the same day so that we didn’t have to come back multiple times where we live so far away. During her treatment, they kept us updated the entire time letting us know how she was doing. Lauren assisted us while our daughter was in treatment to establish a way to make payments through an interest free company so that we did not have to worry about any finances the same day since we were so far from home. My daughter is so comfortable with them and I’m so glad that we have someone who not only has our daughter’s best interest in mind, but also listened and understood our concerns as the parents. Had the BEST experience today for my 3 year old with Dr. Valerie and Dr. Melissa! They made his first dentist appointment so fun and easy!!! Afterwards on the way home he said “I miss the dentist!!” He was nervous to go, but left with a smile :) everyone in the whole office was so so sweet!! Dr.Merhoff did amazing with my 5 year old. We drove over 2 hours to the office but it’s was worth it to have such a great experience. They explained everything that was being done. She loved all the staff.

I rarely write reviews, but they took such good care of my little today that I felt I had to. Their office staff is extremely kind, and the hygienists are so patient. Meagan was amazing with my stubborn and frightened daughter. I couldn’t be more pleased with them and how wonderful they all are.

I was extremely impressed with our visit to Dr. Merhoff’s office. All of the staff we encountered -from the receptionist to the dental hygienist to the dentist, were all so friendly and patient with my little boy. I took our not quite two year old to Dr. Merhoff and had a superb experience. The office is well organized, the front desk and clinical staff are both kind and professional, and Dr. Merhoff is skilled and caring. I could not have been more pleased, and Dr Merhoff will be my child’s dentist for years to come.

Today, my 5 year old went in for a consultation for a cavity, which was discovered by our family dentist. We were welcomed as soon as we arrived. Safety precautions are in place that made me feel very comfortable. We were able to begin our treatment today, thankfully. My son got yelled at by a dentist for not brushing his teeth before coming to his appointment. He came straight from school and didn’t have the time to stop home beforehand.

Everything is great about this place except for the fact that it will not allow you to be billed for services. That’s the only reason I may change dentist. Making installment payments is something that should be an option. But we’ve gone there for years. The staff is great and atmosphere.
