About Dr. Timothy A Scott
Reviews for Dr. Timothy A Scott
Prior to a seeing Dr. Scott I had been under the care of other ENT’s to treat reoccurring ear infections that were so painful they affected my jaw and bite with no resolve for many years. Dr. Scott figured our the route cause and I have been free of these infections now for a few years. Dr. Scott checked all the boxes in his treatment plan, really listened to me when explaining symptoms I was experiencing and made accommodations in seeing me when symptoms were at their worst. I highly recommend Dr. Scott!
In my opinion Dr Scott is shady. Don't expect any help unless you have a significant surgery where he can justify to the insurance and make money. He won't touch a minor surgery no matter how bad you need it and will keep giving you garbage advise and irrelevant medications. His office is even more pathetic and totally unorganized. Forget about any proper follow ups or getting your records back. The office manger and staff will simply tell you that all of sudden they don't have the records like a CD, DVD or films you gave them for review.
I went to see this doctor in order to have a good experience (traveling to Walnut Creek) from where I currently live (about 10 miles away). After about 20 minutes of waiting, Dr. Scott saw me and helped diagnose my ear issues and would call in my prescription. I though it was a pleasant experience. Before leaving, I verified the location of the pharmacy (since it wasn't one that I normally go to) with the front desk. After google mapping the address, I arrived to.... BevMo- yep, the liquor store. I called the front desk (1st time) to confirm that the address they provided was a liquor store and to verify the correct address. After providing them with the address of the closes CVS, they verified that the address that I provided was the correct address and not the address that they provided me (that was listed in their system). After going to the correct CVS and waiting 20 minutes the staff confirmed that it hadn't been called in and suggested I call the Dr.'s Office to verify the address as in their experience, many doctors who call it in to their location mistakenly send it to their other sister location (this is an hour after I left the Dr.'s office). I called Dr. Scott's office (2x) and their staff confirmed that Dr. Scott hadn't sent it and was seeing patients. When I asked by when I could expect it to be called in, they said that they didn't know - only the Dr. could send it but that they could message him in the system to let him know that I'm waiting for it. I then asked them to just submit the prescription to a location that was on the route of errands that I had to do - since I would be waiting for it to be called in. 3 HRS later I stop by the pharmacy only to find that the prescription STILL hadn't been called in. I called the Dr (3x) & left a message with the emergency line since the office was currently closed (I later found out - for lunch). I called again (4x) at 1 pm as I was worried that I wouldn't get the prescription I needed in time before they officially closed at 2:30pm. (Friday). The woman I spoke with said (to my relief) that the Rx had just been called in. She didn't apologize for the 4 hour (total) wait or explain what took so long. When I shared that I was unhappy with the treatment I had been receiving (being provided the wrong pharmacy address, the Rx not being submitted for more than 4 hours) and that this is a hardship on me because I don't live in the area and have been waiting this entire time for the medication to be called in- she said "we tell patients to contact the pharmacy before going there". She knows well enough that the doctor didn't call it in and while she may not be able to control that, a little empathy and apology goes a long way when you're working on behalf of someone who is in the wrong. I asked to speak with the Dr before the end of the day because I'm not happy with the service that I have been given. She said (again without empathy) that "she couldn't promise me that it would happen but that she'll relay the message". (After my experience today, that's doubtful.) and she said I should call CVS to ensure it was called in. I did. After learning of my DOB and name they said "oh (with empathy) sounds like you've been getting the run around today!" Now, if a pharmacy staff that you've never worked with before says that, you know you need to write a Google Review! No one should be treated this way, I don't care how busy the office is. It doesn't take that long to phone in a prescription. If you know that you're inefficient at that job, then write a paper one and provide it to the patient before they leave so that they can get on with life and get the medication they need to heal their ailment. I'm very disappointed with this doctor's office in general and the lack of customer service. It's worth finding an ENT elsewhere. Very kind and compassionate. Gave me all the time I needed. He told step by step what he was going to do and what I would feel and he was 100% correct. He saved me after I recently saw on oral surgeon who was all too happy to charge me hundreds of dollars. I highly recommend him.
Dr Scott is a very good doctor he diagnosed and helped me w/ my sinus problems. I highly recommend him. Just be patient because it takes time to get to the bottom of any medical issues.
Totally bamboozled. Wow. My wife set an appointment for me because an x-ray from my oral surgeon showed a calcium deposit. I was in his office for maybe 10 minutes, he asked me get an MRI. Seemed pretty short and sweet. Then I get a bill for $1,000+ dollars, looking at the bill was $700 for a nasal endoscopy, wow. That was a whole 15 seconds for $700 and felt nothing more that steamed Vic's up the nasal cavity.

Dr. Scott came highly recommended by an OR doctor whohas worked with him and found him to be very competent. I went to him for evaluation and subsequent removal of a large maxillary sinus cyst. He lived up to the recommendation in every way. I got an appointment very quickly, his staff with friendly and courteous with me, and Dr. Scott himself was friendly, took time to answer my questions, and instilled confidence. I would recommend him to anyone, both for competence and demeanor.

Receptionist was rude. I was very sick and they told me I could have an appointment in two weeks! I have no idea if the doctor is good, since his staff totally blocked me from coming.
