DR Powers did an outstanding job replacing my implanted neuro stimulater although I was out like a light so he might have been dancing with the scrub nurses.

Had an outpatient bilateral limited Laminectomy/decompression L4/L5, and one side on L5/S1, 4 weeks ago. Healing well. Went very well. I would definitely recommend Dr. Powers and his team, along with the rest of the NWOS team.

Thanksgiving day my back started feeling bad 2019. My husband had back surgery with Dr. Powers and I was going to the after appointments with him. Dr. Power said my husband was doing fine but noticed I was have trouble standing and walking. He proceeded to check my legs, where going numb. I had an MRI done. Long story short he did the surgery day after Christmas. My then I was in a Wheelchair. I had a long recovery as I was so weak. It has been almost 2 years and I can do most things, but some differently. Thanks to him I can jog a little . I am very physically active again, but have to watch how much I pick up. Dr. Powers was a very personable person. Professional and witty. Straightforward and matter of fact attitude. Dr. Soto on the other hand, did not follow Dr. Powers plan of treatment and I felt that I could not get the proper care I was looking for.

Dr. Powers was respectful, caring, and very receptive when helping me with my back issues. I appreciated his willingness to thoroughly discuss my symptoms and treatment options. After 21 years of Chiro, PT, and Dr appts, final found relief. Thank you Dr Powers. Ive had 3 injections, and feel 29 again. No pain, and workouts can now be ramped up again. I hope it lasts, and if not, I know I can be pain free again. Thank you!

Initially, I was assigned to Dr. Powers to repair a broken ankle after an emergency room visit in 2014. I had no problems with the fix or follow-up. Because my ankle hardware was giving me pain during winter months, I requested that the hardware be removed. I luckily got squeezed in during a break in Covid-19 elective surgeries, autumn 2020. Again, no problems with the fix or follow-up. My ankle is no longer a weather forecaster. Dr. Powers always treated me professionally and with respect. Dr. Powers is the best..Dr. Powers bedside manners is excellent.. he treats you like you're part of he's family.. as a surgeon he's brilliant and knows his job.. he did my back surgery 8 years ago and I'm still going strong.. I would recommend Dr. Powers to anybody including my family members

I met a doctor who was not only was incredibly knowledgeable , I also met a funny and kind man. I had heard of his skill as a surgeon so felt completely safe under his care. I explained how much I wanted to keep the mobility of my neck using an artificial disc verses a fusion. He reassured me that if it was possible, he would do his best to make that happen. Dr. Powers has been my go to doctor for my back problems. My 1st surgery involved a fusion . I was going up and down stairs the next day and felt great. Now I'm having a problem with another area and am going back to him because I know I will get the best care possible.

I think this doctor is horrible and, quite frankly, mean. I live with pain every single day. I don't take narcotics (choice I make), and over the years I've had 10-12 epidural injections for my back pain. I choose to have epidural injections with fluoroscope and under sedation (I've done it without sedation and the pain is horrible). I reached out to Dr. Powers through his practice and received a call a few days later and was told that he wouldn't accept me as a patient. He made this decision without EVER talking to me. He knew absolutely nothing about me, my life, my issues, my history, my pain level...NOTHING!! He made this decision based on paper. How can a DOCTOR base a decision like this without ever meeting someone and finding out what their history is and why they are the way they are?? Unfortunately, he and this practice is the only game in town if I want fluoroscope and sedation. Definitely proof that Spokane is far behind in medical procedures. Even if this horrible

Dr. Powers is fantastic! highly recommend. He did a 2nd Spinal Fusion on my husband lower back... he is finally pain free from back pain that he has endured for years! Dr. Powers is very skilled at spine surgery and very compassionate to his patients... Truly a great surgeon and lucky to have in Spokane.
