My dad went to him. Would not recommend. Can't give many details because that's my dad's business. Will say he said he couldn't treat my dad because he didn't have the issue long enough. I thought that was ridiculous and the doctor I took my dad to after this was very vocal about their similar opinion on the situation.

Dr. Jordan accused my 8 year old of being "unreliable" after observing him do 3, maybe 4 eyecharts. We had done at least 10-15 with a technician prior to meeting with him and my son never even got to the 20/20 line. He could barely make out the the 30 line and could only easily do the 40 line. Despite that, Dr. Jordan insisted my son could read the 20 line and did not need glasses. It was truly bizarre. He spoke to my son in a rude, unkind way, telling him to do it carefully and slowly and speak clearly (my son was wearing a mask). When I pushed back, he rolled his eyes and said with exasperation - fine. When my son, squinting, and reading the 20/20 line extremely slowly, got most of the letters he said to me "are you happy now". We ended up walking out because he clearly had no interest in engaging with us and I refused to let him continue to disrespect me or my son. HORRIBLE bedside manner. He left the room after dilating my eyes and I was in tears from the way he spoke to me in such a condescending tone when I asked a question that he felt he already answered. He tested me to see if glasses would help my double vision and they would not. He couldn't see anything wrong with my eyes and at one point said "It is what it is". He could tell I was not happy with the way he was speaking to me and said "Sorry you apparently don't like my answers, I'm just giving it to you straight". I am OK with direct but not OK with a complete lack of compassion for symptoms I've had for 7 months and come to a professional to be treated this way. I had pictures of the 8 times I've had broken eye blood vessels this year and he wouldn't even look at them saying "I've seen thousands of them through the years". I came to get answers and left with none. I do not recommend this practice.

Dr. Jordan is a most competent, professional, caring physician with excellent patient skills. I wouldn't trust my eyes to another doctor in Raleigh.

I was able to get an appointment with no problem, but the problem started was when I needed to re-schedule. No one returned my call after 4 attempts. This was not a last-minute change. I had two weeks before my daughter's appointment. Instead of speaking with someone from the staff, all I got was an answering service. I finally canceled my appointment and of course the next day I received an email wanting me to confirm my daughter's appointment that I canceled. There is certainly a communication breakdown somewhere. I would not suggest going here. If they truly cared about their patients, why is it so difficult to speak to someone besides an answering service?

I am very upset about our office visit. While the office was very careful to comply with COVID 19 guidelines, we had to wait over 30 minutes in the waiting room. Dr. Jordan made no effort to connect with my son and was inpatient while he was reading the letters in the vision screen. He cut me off several times and basically left the room before I was satisfied with his explanation. I had to ask his assistant to explain a few things to my son. The wait in the optical shop was very long and I was not satisfied with the service there either.

Dr. Jordan gave me the most thorough, comprehensive exam that I've ever had. He was most understanding of my concerns and took time to explain everything.

Unfortunately I had the same experience as other reviewers. The pictures they used for my 3 year old's vision test were weird outlines of animals that I couldn't even distinguish. And when she called a panda bear a dog because it looked like a freaking dog, he told her she wasn't right and embarrassed her. She basically shut down to him the rest of the appointment and so he rushed through the rest and didn't even try to make her feel comfortable. And he didn't explain a single thing about her condition. Just gave me a prescription for her glasses with zero instruction. I learned a million times more reading on google for free. It was awful and a waste of time and money. We are seeing another doctor in Cary later this month instead. Please don't bring your poor child here. They were not kind or gentle or even professional. UPDATE: We have been seeing Dr. Board in Raleigh for 2 years now and absolutely love him. He is thorough and fast and no nonsense but not in a dismissive or intimidating way. Our first visit to him after seeing Dr. Jordan, he more than doubled the prescription we had been given, proving that she wasn't properly examined in the first place at this facility. My experience was different here. the hospital staff were amazing. i got an appointment in a day based on referral. Yes the doctor was pretty straight forward but I rather see a doctor who is straight to the point and explains whats going on instead of being extra nice and not explaining things (have seen extremely nice docs who really did not care about me). after the tests were done he walked in , looked at the prescriptions for my child , basically went over what he has and what he doesnt have, asked me not to use the prescripted medicines suggested by primary care as he said little children doesnt need unnecessary medicines. Asked if I have anymore questions , answered and left. But I got all my answers and satisfied with the visit . I was booked with him when my regular provider was full. (saw him as an adult.) He asked why I was there and I stated for an eye infection. He seemed very offended that I would attempt to diagnose myself and asked if I was going to be disappointed when he examined me and told me I didn't have an infection. I had green pus coming from one eye so it doesn't take a genius to figure out there was infection. Spoiler alert- it was infected. He was very short and rude throughout visit.

Dr. Jordan was obviously knowledgeable, if not overly friendly. Spent about 3 minutes with us and told me my daughter's vision was fine. All that aside, my main issue is that we were charged double. I called before taking my daughter to make sure that it would be covered by insurance. We were assured it would be. When we got there, I was told I had to pay $200 because it was our first visit. A couple of weeks later, we got notification that they billed our HRA $175. We called insurance company and were told that Raleigh Opthalmology had basically double dipped. The INSURANCE COMPANY said it was shady!!! We called the office and they gave us our money back, thankfully. Mistake? Maybe, but I saw other reviews where the same thing happened... I am so very grateful to Dr. Jordan for seeing me on his day off even though I wasn't a patient of his but of another doctor in his practice. I had cornea eye surgery done by a Duke doctor and developed an abrasion on a Saturday in October 2017. In order to be treated by a Duke doctor on a weekend they have no one on call and you have to go to Duke emergency room which is very costly and takes hours. Even though he is a pediatric eye doctor he treated me and put a contact in my eye which relieved most of my eye pain immediately due to eye nerves being exposed. Dr. Jordan showed great empathy for the pain I was in and I will always be thankful that he was there for me when I needed help. Disappointed with the service we received today. The doctor insinuated that my daughter was making up her symptoms and proceeded to charge us for an extra service that we were not asked about beforehand and did not come for (a test associated with glasses) that cost $50 on top of the medical copay we had already paid. Do not recommend. Disappointed with the service we received today. Dr. Jordan did a bilateral strabismus repair surgery on both my 4 year's eyes. He did an amazing job! When my daughter's eye suddenly crossed about 4 months ago we were in a state of emergency. She had a CAT scan done in the ER and we ended up seeing 3 different ophthalmologists. We decided to stay with Dr. Jordan because he was by far the most thorough! Not only did he do a very detailed and thorough exam of her eyes but he even studied old pictures of her eyes to see if he could notice any discrepancies that may have been subtle. He was always very kind and gentle and willing to answer any of my questions. I would recommend him to anyone! Dr. Jordan did a bilateral strabismus repair surgery on both my 4 year's eyes. Dr. Jordan did tear duct surgery and cleared an infection on my 11 month old this past week. I read other reviews about his bedside manner but there was little to go on about his skills. Our pediatrician referred us to him and I'm glad he did. He did a fantastic job. He was right to the point and didn't sugar coat anything which is completely fine. I needed to know exactly what was going to happen. It has been 3 days and she is already looking completely healed. His staff is also wonderful. They returned calls immediately, checked on her several times after the procedure, and were genuinely concerned while we were in the office. You go to a doctor so they can heal you and that's exactly what he does. Dr. Jordan did tear duct surgery and cleared an infection on my 11 month old this past week. I hate to say negative comments about a doctor, but my 4-year-old son and I had really bad experiences with Dr. Jordan (2 visits/2yrs). He doesn't seem to have any bedside manner. He threw a bunch of information at me that I didn't understand, he barely looked at me, had no rapport with my son, came at him with eye drops without explanation, then left me in tears after he made it seem it was my fault that my son's presecription got worse. Everyone else at the office we interacted with was great

Unfortunately, we took the advice of my son's primary care physician, and went to Dr. Tim Jordan of Raleigh Ophthalmology. What an absolute mistake. Our son was traumatized by the way Dr. Jordan acted, and the comments he made. He cried and sobbed the whole time while Tim was giving his "diagnoses" with no regard for the 6 year old sitting there. Incredibly unprofessional and a down right jerk to a child. This guy needs to stop working with kids, as he is clueless as to how to do so. He has the bedside manner of a dead raccoon.
