I’ve never been to such a wonderful health facility, everyone is super sweet… and my doctor…Doctor Hupfer is the G.O.A.T…( Greatest of all times )

Excellent and thorough first time experience, ease of method to schedule appointments and a friendly staff eager to be thorough with all explanations of joint replacement surgeries and therapy, highly recommend this organization, just great people!

I had total knee replacement Nov 1 2021. I was progressing ok until late Jan 2022. Then my swelling and pain increased to what it had been on about Dec. 1 2021. When i called about this around Feb 1, he replied that i probably had "overdone it" when I was on vacation a week before, except the swelling increase began 2 days before my vacation. It is 2 weeks later and I am very displeased and want to know why my swelling has increased and will not decrease. I am a fit and active person and am very limited in what I can do. I do my PT exercises and stretching every day. I have 130 degrees and less than 1 degree, respectively in flexion and extension of my knee.

I have nothing but good things to say about my total hip replacement experience. From initial consultation, scheduling, admission, etc through waking up in my room the staff were polite, professional and efficient. I think I got my procedure done just in time. If I had delayed another month it may have made my recovery much more difficult. As I write this I am 17 days with the new hip. I am off the walker and mostly using a cane. I am walking over 6000 steps per day as I pursue a return to all my normal activities such as hiking, fishing, doing house repairs etc. Its amazing how fast I am regaining the ability to the things that used to cause me back, leg and hip pain only a month ago. Dr Hupfer knows what he's doing. Follow the instructions, do the exercises and keep moving. I have nothing but good things to say about my total hip replacement experience. 11 years ago today Dr Hupfer preformed a complete knee replacement for me and it is still going strong. I have had several friends who have gone places other than OrthoIndy who have had to have their replacements redone. Not me mine is doing fantastic! Dr Hupfer is one of the best and he has always been there when I have had orthopedic needs. I have had arthritis for 40 years and I still get around great. Very happy with having Tim Hupfer perform my shoulder surgery and felt like I was treated with professional services and therapy with OrthoIndy! Knowledgeable, kind and explained my challenge in simple to understand terms. I would highly recommend Dr. Hupfer.

Dr Hupfer did an excellent job on my full knee replacement. I was dreading it so much and probably put it off longer than I should have. He straightened my foot too which had began to point outward. I got along great (did all my rehab exercises!) and cannot believe how much better things are now. He is a very skilled surgeon.

Much like patient's reviews. Capable, efficient, initially good at listening, but seemed fairly inflexible when while reciting his opinions and instructions . This was my first visit and our interaction could change. I appreciated reading other's reviews.

He is an excellent Dr. He replaced both of my knees and this has given me my life back. He is very professional, nice, straightforward and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

Laid back, listened to my problem, recommended a course of action - to which I agreed - and I was in and out in about 15 minutes with follow-up instructions. Not much fun getting a cortisone shot in my hip, but he's good with a needle and I experienced minimal discomfort.

Had my hip replaced in November and recovery was fast! Excellent physician and staff. OI is great!

This is not a review, but a preview. So, which is it? I have an app't next week.. Then there's Sigrid, who was gonna get back with an update after surgery. It's been 8 mos. ago and nada. Excellent surgeon. Performed my hip surgery last year and is doing my surgery this year. He is concise in his explanation of surgery and post-recovery but is willing to listen to questions. I have the utmost confidence in him.

I had an appointment with Dr. Timothy Hupfer about 4-6 weeks ago. The appointment went very well and the time that I spent with Dr. Hupfer was very informative. He was patient, professional, answered all my questions and gave me great information that I would have never had thought to ask him. I originally had tried to make an appointment at the medical center in Carmel and they turned me away due to my age. However, this doctor is working with me and will do the necessary surgery to replace my hip. I was very pleased. Once I have the surgery I will do an update. I saw Dr Hupfer for my bad knee. I was 65 at the time. He said I wasn’t ready for a knee replacement. Gave me an injection that relieved my pain for 6 months! Now at 67 both knees are bad. I love the fact that he’s not jumping into surgery. I intend to go back and use any alternatives to surgery that he may offer. I don’t want Rx meds but if the injections are safe I’ll stick with those. I trust him and his expertise. Not often you find a surgeon not eager to do surgery. I saw Dr Hupfer for my bad knee. Like most orthopedic surgeons, he is skilled. For the personal interaction piece, he is very arrogant. I the recovery phase of my surgery, he made it a lot worse with his interaction style. I would highly recommend finding another physician. My colleagues have had excellent results with Dr. Shelbourne.

Very arrogant. Refused to perform knee surgery for senior citizen. I guess she was not worth his time. Thousands of dollars spent for nothing.

He has done numerous surgeries on my left knee ending with a replacement, He has always been easy to be in touch with and listen to the problems.
