Very poor management of medications - deeply dissapointed after seeing the the current Dr Gray's father for 30-40 years to see this place start feeling very authoritarian after the son took over. Would have been super convenient to keep going there . Major bummer.

My girlfriend had a very unpleasant experience with this doctor. He prescribed her an antibiotic at a dose that is no longer advised due to new research. Apparently, he does not upgrade his knowledge.

There is another side of Dr. Gray you should be aware of. I had been hit by a car and I live with a lot of pain, Gray put me on oxycontin 20mg 2 per day at my 1st visit.  Oxycontin should not be confused with oxycodone which is Percocet.  Oxycontin is a time released pain medication that is highly addictive and much like morphine  There are so many people hooked on this that pharmacies refuseto carry it due to being robbed at gun point. It may no longer  be on the market. At my follow-up he increased the amount to 4 pills per day due to break through pain.  The next follow-up it was increased from 20mg to 40mg 2 x per day.  My next follow-up it was increased from 2x per day to 4 times per day.  Next follow-up was 60mg 2 × per day.  Up until I was taking 4 to 5 per day I think I got up to 80 mg but I I'm not 100 percent sure.  This is where the problem occurred.   His nurse practitioner whose name was Karen agreed that I could take 1 extra pill per day but only as needed, Dr. Gray was busy or out of the office.  She failed to write this in my file. (You would have to know me to know this about me but I never, ever break my doctors rules and I don't get high from pain meds either. I had to make an appointment with Dr. Gray early because I ran out of my prescription early due to taking a few extra pills as needed and therefore I needed an early refill.   When I came in Dr Gray didn't even want to see me. I was already in withdrawals from the oxycontin when I called into Dr. Greyand he said it wasn't his problem.   I told them about my appt with Karen and someone finally called me days later and said it didn't matter because the contract was with me and not her and I had broken it. I went to the hospital emergency room. One thing Dr. Gray said, "I guess you'll have to go to the hospital then....but don't go to one in Hillsboro.  I went to a hospital in Portland and began to understand why he didn't want me in to go in Hillsboro.  The emergency room dr. I saw was visibly shocked when I told him what pain meds I was on and  how much and he even more surprised and said so because Dr. Gray just dumped me in this condition. I was embarrassed,  my children were with me and so was my husband.  He was disappointed with me and angry as well.  My best friend drove because of the kids and my condition .  She told my 9 and 5 year old that their mommy had gotten into trouble with drugs.  I was sick from withdrawals and hadlittle control over my body at that point and couldn't speak as I was vomiting out my mouth and my nose.  Obviously, Gray cares about patients and doesn't want to see them in pain but the amount and the short amount of time it took to get me up to such a high level of this drug was not right on his part.  His throwing me under the bus alone to face this was totally wrong and I still haven't gotten over it.  The doc in the ER told me to go back to him or go to an ER or doctor closer to home.  He told me point blank that he didn't believe a word I said because why would I go out to Portland??  I must be seeking drugs and he wasn't gonna give me a damn thing.  I tried to assure him I didn't want any drugs except maybe something for the nausea after it started coming out my nose like a hose.  He didn't know what to think because I couldn't even speak at times.   At one point I was shaking so violently, he tried to call Dr Gray himself. There is another side of Dr. Gray you should be aware of. I had been hit by a car and I live with a lot of pain, Gray put me on oxycontin 20mg 2 per day at my 1st visit.  Oxycontin should not be confused with oxycodone which is Percocet.  … More

I was a patient at their office about a decade ago and when I think of excellent all around care I think of this office. They treat the whole person and not just the current issue. An office of amazing doctors and staff.
