Dr. Burd and his entire staff, PA, Pt, and nurses were amazing. Amazing care and amazing results.

Dr. Burd and the nurses were awesome! The preop was fast and everything was explained to me. Dr. Burd is the best and I would never go anywhere else!

From first consultation to last check up, through surgery and everything in between. Dr Burd, and his staffing and medical team are amazing. They show you that you are important and not just some case. They truly care and tell you the best procedure for your problem even if you don't like hearing necessary steps. I was a smoker until Dr Burd highly and strongly advised to quit because of the healing process and how detrimental it would be! Thank you for all your help and taking a chance on me when other doctors wouldn't touch me. Amazing place can't stress enough how wonderful they are! Dr. Burd was just the doctor for me. His bedside manner is excellent! He describes everything in clear terms and I left with a plan for moving forward. I would highly recommend!

I had TLIF back surgery performed by the hands of “Dr Burd.” I had to hold onto my expectations for awhile; you can’t rush the melting of the ice. I made sure I wasn’t doing anything that would impede the body’s healing. It’s important to not expect the miracle over night or even weeks out. I spent the time binging on crosswords, movies, books, puzzles, etc Now it’s been 3 months and I can share it’s been a miraculous journey of trusting the process & holding the vision!! I am so grateful for Dr. Burd’s knowledge & expertise, enabling me to breakthrough a glass ceiling it appeared in walking upright w/confidence & taking my life back!!

I was so pleased to have chosen Nebraska Spine and Pain Center. I am also more than satisfied with my Surgeon Dr. Timothy Burd; he was recommended by a friend who has worked with him and many other doctors as a Nurse Anesthetist on many Back surgeries. My friend, Joe Frost, explained that any of the surgeons are fine at Ne. Spine and Pain center, but that if it were him, he would choose Dr. Burd without question. Joe said that his skill and technical prowess is unparalleled. By observing his decision making, not rushing through quickly rather being slow and methodical to be sure of the best outcome. I was quite damaged and very arthritic as this was my Seventh back surgery. I worked on the Construction Department at LT&T, out of Lincoln, Nebraska. My first disc repair was in 1992 due to falling off a 30’ Pole. Then falling down a deep manhole and falling down a flight of concrete stairs, etc. I was 37 then and am 67 now. This surgery repaired my worst damage ever as 5 Lumbar levels required removal of disc, material, Scarring damage and Arthritic Spurs, which also involved a tricky dissection and removal of a large Cyst attached to the Spinal cord sac causing the most pain I have ever experienced at agony levels. Dr. Burd said it was touch and go dissecting chunks away without damaging my cord or the surrounding spinal sac. I can’t emphasize what a fantastic job he did. I recovered quickly after surgery and can walk better and longer than I have in a decade and no pain! I have had 4 different surgeons to date and feel as though I hit the Jackpot with Dr. Burd; he is a great communicator as he made sure I understood how the MRI and Cat Scan looked and his plan of attack for the procedure. I felt that he was thoroughly invested in the best possible outcome for me. On my last visit after surgery I was amazed to hear I had no restrictions to follow other than using good body mechanics and exercise. I feel as though I have my life back with no pain while walking very far and being able to play with my Grandchildren on the floor. If you ever need Back Surgery I hope you choose Dr. Burd, also. I like the way that he explains everything to me in clear details that I can understand. He always wants the best for me and I greatly appreciate that.

Excellent surgeon. Never felt rushed. Was referred to him by someone in the medical field as “the” doctor in Omaha to see for lower back pain. Support staff was also very nice to deal with. Highly recommend.

Dr Burd is amazing! I had COVID in 2020 and with that started having numbness in my index finger and spasms down my arm. That started me down an almost year-an-a-half, discovery process. I saw an OT, multiple PTs, several massage therapists, tried Heller work, and several chiropractors. Additionally, I saw another specialist who said that this was just something that I'd have to live with. Throughout this whole time, we struggled to get a good MRI. Finally, after the forth MRI, Dr. Burd was conclusively able to determine that I had a herniated disc in my cervical spine and we scheduled a date for the surgery. The surgery went well and immediately afterwards, I could feel my index finger! A day and a half after the surgery I got a hematoma (blood clot) in my neck and called the emergency hotline. Dr Burd happened to be on call and rushed to meet me at the ER where he performed an emergency operation to unobstructed my airway. Not only am I really impressed by Dr. Burd's level of experience, knowledge, and ability to care for me; even more, I can't say enough about a doctor who at 8:00pm on a Tuesday night rushes to the ER to take care of his patient instead of letting someone else handle it.

Dr Burd is informative patient expert and pleasant.

Just had my 3rd surgery by Tim Burd, will never let anyone else work on my back other then him. Very down to earth person, calls a spade a spade, will check and check to make sure surgery is the only option left. I swear By Nebraska Spine and Dr. Tim Burd

Severe pain in right hip

Dr Burd spent time explaining what my surgery will look like and I appreciate the time he took to answer my questions The nurses were very helpful, especially Tammy.

Good information and a plan to try to correct the problem

I wouldn’t go see anyone else for my back and neck issues. He’s always taken great care of me and knows what he’s doing!!

If Dr Burd were in Family Practice, one would never be able to get an appointment to see him as he'd be booked solid. Simply stated: he cares.

I believe Dr Burd was very professional and genuinely concerned with my progress. It was very refreshing to have an open discussion about opiates and create a good plan going forward. I would recommend Nebraska Spine and Pain Center to anyone!

Dr. Burd was able to explain using imaging and a model what the problem was and how treatment can be started. He was a good listener and answered all of our questions.

I have had nothing but good experiences with Dr. Timothy Burd both now and several years ago.

I have been seen and operated on By Dr. Burd a few times. He has fused my neck and done a few surgeries on my back in years Past. Very down to earth and a compassionate Doctor. He will by no means operate if it can be resolved by other methods. I would never even think of going to anyone else but Timothy Burd.

Friendly staff, and Dr. Burd is extremely knowledgeable and informative. He puts things in simple terms that are easy to understand. He also displays a genuine concern for the patient's well being. Great experience!!

Dr. Burd always courteous and explains things thoroughly. Does not rush appointment. No waiting. Staff very efficient. Always gives options and involves you in decision making.

I required back surgery and Dr Burd worked with my insurance company to get the authorization to get this done. I had difficulty after the first surgery and required a second. Dr Burd was very professional and he has an excellent bedside manner. I am a nurse and yet he explained things both times so my family understood everything. I will recommend Dr. Burd to anyone in need of spinal surgery. I have gone from barely able to walk, to back to normal. Dr Burd is by far the best spine surgeon in Omaha. He makes you feel 100% comfortable, and I knew immediately that I was on good hands. He and his wonderful staff are so kind and simply the best!

Yes, He was very professional and his PA was also very knowledgeable and both of them would listen to my concerns and answer my questions- although he was was very busy the day I was there he did not make me feel rushed he sat and asked and answered anything I needed. I highly recommend

Dr. Burd was the 2nd doctor I consulted with about my spinal cord being pinched. He made me and my husband feel 100% more comfortable and at ease about what he needed to do for my surgery to be successful, then the other specialist. Dr. Burd and his team did more x-rays, and manual tests. They talked to us and explained everything. Dr. Burd and his team have done a great job caring for me so far.

Dr Burd is a rockstar and one of the finest physicians around. He did my neck fusion and lower spine discectomy. When I was continuing to have issues he figured out I also had hip problems. He was able to refer me to another top notch doctor to help me feel better.

Dr Burd was absolutely great very kind and personable.

Very friendly and out-going. Listens to patient's concerns and does not sugar-coat anything. Showed me a few things on my latest MRI that 3 other doctors have missed. Also showed me the stenosis was progressing into my thoracic spine. Of course, after this appointment I felt even LESS optimistic about my spine condition and was not given any other suggestions for pain management [what I am doing - mild meds, physical therapy] is either not working or making it worse. But otherwise, a very good doctor; I would trust him to do surgery on me - if he would operate. I'm not convinced spine surgery is only performed on skinny people, which is what I was led to believe. And with my severely restricted ability to move, the likelihood of my loosing 30+ pounds is an unattainable goal. And as the progression of the stenosis is going, I will be completely crippled in about 18 months. Maybe THEN it will be a "life or death situation"...

ALL THE PERSONNEL WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. DR BURD WAS VERY THOROUGH AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING. HE LISTENED TO EVERYTING I SAID. I LEFT FEELING VERY SATISFIED.

Positive: Dr. Burd fully explained all the options available for my treatment and took time to show me the visual details of the spinal issues. Very positive attitude. Negative: had to wait over an hour after scheduled appointment time. But, the time with him went well.

best I have ever had

Dr Burd is such a knowledgeable caring physician and I feel very lucky to have found him to coordinate my resolution and recovery after a horrible accident. He truly is what I needed as he doesn't mince words, doesn't give false hope, but does not leave any possibilities unresolved.

Dr was very pleasant explained everything so I could understand what was going on

Arrived around 10:45 am for an 11:00 am appointment. Had all the paperwork filled out online before I arrived. Called back to the room around 11:00 am and met with nurse and had x-rays taken. Was told the doctor would be in shortly. Around 11:45 am my husband went to the nurses station and was told the doctor had two more patients before me. I had another doctor's appointment around 12:30pm. Thought was very rude that nobody advised me before that time about the hour plus delay. It was very unprofessional. So my husband and I left. So I really no nothing about Dr. Burd, but I will never go back based the the way I was treated. Never received treatment from Dr. Burd.

Dr. Burd is by far the best Doctor experience I’ve ever had. Very informative, and spent the time to explain everything in detail. He really cares about the best outcome for his patients.
