I was the last patient of the day. The Dr. didn't take any time to ask for my personal history of past injuries. I was so shocked by the manner I was being treated, I forgot to explain my current symptoms. There was no compassion, no empathy. I have to guess that I'm only there so he can make money for doing bare minimum. My advice is don't be his last patient of the day because dinner or a drink will be on his mind. Not you. I was desperate to have a deep rooted lump on my thigh. It’s because my cancer surgery is coming up in a week. I was afraid the long process of recovery is too long to have that lump stay inside my leg. I was diagnosed with a lymph node cancer. That’s why i am very nervous seeing any small lump or pimple on my body. He told his staff to squeeze me in in just a few days. I had the lump removed so quickly and painlessly. The tissue was sent to the lab. I will know the result in a week or so. I am grateful for Doctor’s Tien Nguyen thoughtfulness and care. Thank you doctor and your office staff. Everyone is very professional and friendly too!

Worst doctor EVER! Didnt explain anything to me about my neck surgery, no post-op care and discharged with no notification, didnt even check my surgery site. Office staff just as cold and not helpful with post- op care. Just kicked to the curb to fend for myself! Overrated as far as I'm concerned. Dr Nguyen did a revision lamelectomy on my lower back He is a wonderful doctor who LISTENS TO HIS PATIENTS. I highly recommend him Awesome neurosurgeon

After my back surgery, Dr Tien Nguyen was no where to be found. Come to find out there were complications that he never told me about even after the post op visit. Do not use this Doctor

ok so the staff has no idea what is going on half the time like the medicine i was supposed to receive never went through and i told them about it and they were like oh it should be there so then for the two weeks after i had surgery i didnt have the correct medicine to apply on my scars. it was only after i came back did they realize they messed up. also they made me schedule a follow up appointment and when i arrived they were like why are you here. they were the ones who made me book an appointment in the first place and it was a waste of $20 because the appointment lasted 5 min.

Back in 2010 I had my t11-t12 disk example. When in emergency was told I may not walk again. I thank God for send dr. Nguyen because he did amazing job I am walking and physical with no problems with my surgery thanks Doc.

I really like Dr. Nguyen. He’s a serious dude, Straight to the point, a little dry but he’s also a super genius... sooooo.. I read a few reviews on a different platform complaining about his personality and giving him poor reviews because of it. For those patients- I say, grow up. He’s a freaking neurosurgeon. He’s lightyears smarter than almost all of us. Anyway, I saw him for a consult for 2 herniated discs. He explained my options. After thinking them over I opted for surgery. My paid level would become out of control and completely debilitating due to a large herniation at L5 S1. I explained my reasons for wanting surgery and he agreed it was a good choice for me. Surgery went well. My nurse at the hospital said he’s a brilliant surgeon which was nice to hear. I’m day 6 post op and stopped pain meds yesterday. Healing is slow and delicate but so far, so good. I had a seizure and broke my neck. Was told I was lucky I wasn't dead or paralyzed. I went to Orange Coast Memorial and was admitted immediately. I saw Dr Tien Nguyen and he explained what he had to do for my neck and I agreed to it. I had to get my C4-C7 removed and have metal plates, cages and screws put in. I've had no problem at all. staff is very unprofessional had an appointment 5/16/2019 took the day off work showed up at ^ 7:55 for 8am appointment but was turned away they didn't get the paper work completed from blue cross I called the day before and verified my appointment what a joke very un professional not to mention they took the biopsy very poor service

I am a patient of D. Laquer. Dr. Laquer is the most caring doctor I have ever met. She came to see me at Hoag Hospital when no one else would because they didn’t know how to treat my rash and symptoms. She led the team at Hoag and UCI and discovered what was happening to me, treated me and became my hero!! She is an absolute gift to the patients who are lucky enough to have her for a doctor. This may seem as if it’s over the top. However, I believe she saved my life. Thank you Dr. Laquer.

My father went through 2 times of surgery with Dr Tien Nguyen. Before each surgery, he always told us with confidence that my father will be able to get up and walk normally. Unfortunately, my father get worse and worse. 4 months after the first surgery, he could not walk. 30 days after 2nd surgery he could not even sit on bed !!!. I called the office dozen time (almost every 2 days for 3 weeks) after 2nd surgery to know what was the reason. He did not return the call at all. We had a very good experience with Dr. Tien Nguyen and his office staffs recently. His office staffs are highly efficient. We had an urgent referral. Got appointment in 2 days. We were seen in very quickly on appointment day. Surgery was arranged within a few days. Amy was right on it!! She worked out a schedule for pre op lab and EKG appointment over the weekend. All the staffs replied to my questions with either a call or an email in a timely manner. All were professional. Dr Nguyen is a quiet man which may make him appear rude to some. But he is really talented in what he does. My dad is so grateful that he can now start using his hands again for his own self care. He has advanced from using walker to a cane, all within a few days post op. We are looking forward to even full recovery of all his function.
