Dr. Thomas John Zaydon JR.

I've had implants for over 16 years and started experiencing issues in the past year. I began to research the breast explant procedure and realized I could go through my health insurance. During the consultation Dr. Zaydon did not think I needed the explant procedure...even though my left breast was completing deflated, and I explained my discomfort. He then agreed to surgery and to my surprise indicated there was availability within 2 weeks. Then, Office Manager advised that I meet with Dr. Zaydon's surgery assistant. This gentleman did not speak English and was not professional. He was trying to convince me to have a breast lift, but I had already indicated at my first appointment that I did not want a breast lift. The surgery date later changed, and a new date was scheduled. About a week before surgery, I was advised of "out of pocket expense" that was never clarified by the Office Manager and my insurance had denied the surgery. I didn't hear back from the Office Manager after a few phone calls and emails. I emailed Dr. Zaydon directly in which he called and assured me that everything would be handled correctly and apologized delay. They resubmitted the claim. Finally, everything seemed on the right track. The office Manager advised that Dr. Zaydon wanted to see me again. I inquired about the cost details/out of pocket expenses, and she indicated they would be provided. At this visit, he truly had no idea who I was. He admitted he had not looked at my file. I had to explain the entire timeline of our visits and issues. Dr. Zaydon again was trying to pressure me into the beast lift. He was rude and condescending. I wasted over 6 months going back and furth to know real resolve. After this visit, I decided not to have the surgery with Dr. Zaydon. Till this day his Office Manager has never called to follow up or apologized for her unprofessionalism. Poor communication and customer service. I do not recommend Dr. Zaydon to anyone! Update: 2.1.2023 Received request to delete review. My issue was not that whether or not the insurance did not cover it...My issue was that after numerous phone calls and emails I never received clarity on anything or an apology from Office Manager. My last appointment I was treated rudely and with no regard. This was a lack of professionalism, bad customer service and poor management.

They dont show me as a patient because this is my nick name. I will never be able to wear shorts again. A thigh surgery botched up so bad Im terrified of anyone ever touching them to fix them. I build up the corage to see a local surgeon for my arms and when he saw my thights his comment was "My poor child who did this to you". My husband had a necessary eye surgery and Dr. Zaydon's office was communicative, thoughtful, and personal. Dr. Zaydon has incredible bedside manner! I would highly recommend.

I have 2 appointments he was always on a rush minimizing all my questions/concerns and at the end he told me about small fee $$$$ once knowing my insurance will cover the whole procedure. The small fee was almost equal to the whole procedure cost. Once I questioned this to his assistant they told me the $$$ were for his assistant and BTY he will not do all stitches by himself too many hours his assistant will help him, go figure . Dr. Zaydon is an outstanding surgeon. My experience was absolutely fantastic from beginning to end. My results where amazing and I am very pleased. It was horrible, removed the Mohs at 4 stage, send me out for plastics surgery in different places with wounds and bleeding in my face to separates buildings with no explanation and guid, I want there admitted in to surgery center, Paid the fee, it took about two hours to prepare me to operation room. Doctor Thomas Zaydon came look at my wounds And said no I cannot do it, and left operation room with no explanation, Nurse prepared me to leave surgery center again with large wounds on my face and bleeding. Told me call a number , which was dr. Zaydon office at south Miami, irresponsible act which can end to infection and more complications It was horrible and scary experience for me. I was referred to Dr. Zaydon by my PCP for a breast reduction and it was the best thing that I have ever done. Dr. Zaydon was extremely professional and made me feel at ease. A week ago I had my Upper lids on my Eyes done by Dr Zaydon. He did such a beautiful job, I smile every time I look in the mirror. They continuously have followed up with me, and explained what will be done for my minor surgery. Dr. Zaydon and his staff really took care of me, and I would commend them to anyone looking for a surgeon.

My wife went in for a tummy tuck and in nearly cost her her life. Days after her surgery we went back for. Her follow up and to see if it was time to remove the drains. We explained to him she had been draining a lot, he still chose to remove the drain...not the best idea. A week later she was in excruciating pain and we had to rush her to the ER. Turns out the fluid had built up and caused an infection. After over a week in the hospital she was better. Stay away, this guy needs to retire.

I went in for a tummy tuck and lipo. I was referred by a coworker. Once there he checked me and stated I had a hernia and it would be covered through my insurance but I would have to pay $3000 fr the muscle repair and lipo. Of course I didn't have the $3000 then so I declined the procedure until I could save up the money. By the time I got to I-95 his office manager Lori called me and said that he would do the procedure and include the tummy tuck with the muscle repair and that I can come back at a later date for the lipo. I agreed to do this because I had been struggling with the way my body look for years. So I scheduled the surgery for December 4, 2016. Surgery date- Surgery went very well and I had no complications. I had 2 tubes for drainage and absolutely no pain at all unless I sat up to quickly. Now being that I had researched this procedure for a long time I was under the assumption that I should be at least hunched over for a while and that my muscles would hurt. Well I didn't experience any of this. This doctor removed my navel and was supposed to give me a new one and that didn't happen. I kept asking him about not feeling any pain and the way my stomach looked afterwards. He just kept stating you're looking fine. Fast forward August 2017- 2 consultations to 2 different plastic surgeons whom both, in writing, confirmed that I never had a tummy tuck. And prior ultrasound results confirms that I never even had a hernia!!! Pissed off because even though he screwed my insurance out of money and I got charged with deductibles and all types of hospital fees, I look worse then I did before stepping foot into his office.
