I saw Dr Wiedrich for thumb issues and each time I saw him (I saw him twice) I did not leave feeling reassured. I understand that he has been practicing for many years and has seen most, if not all issues of the hand. When he delivers his diagnosis he is blunt and almost bored as he tells you the prognosis. I'm sure he is a fine surgeon but I just did not feel comforted or reassured by him and I will not be going back.

I have a wrist injury. It wasn't anything major, but had been troubling me for months. Dr. Wiedrich was personable, professional, etc., but gave me a cookie cutter diagnosis and plan after an X-ray (which showed nothing). Immobilize it, take some advil, see me in 3 weeks. To immobilize it, they gave me a splint. The splint was absolutely useless and caused more pain than it relieved. They told me the splint was covered by my insurance - I just paid a $600+ bill for the visit, so it certainly was not. All in all, a complete waste of $600 and nothing to show for it. $600 means something to me and for a lot of people, represents over a week of work - had they been upfront there is no way I would have agreed to parting with my hard earned money so Dr. Wiedrich can get a better hottub for his summer home while providing no useful service. AWFUL!!! I had an appointment today for a second opinion. When I made the appointment over a month ago, I explained what surgery I had and when I had the surgery, why I am making the appointment and that I was a referral. Today, I drove over an hour to see Dr. Weidriech. I was given a medical questionnaire to fill out and asked to pay my co-pay. I then was asked when my surgery was and was told that the Dr. will not see me if a year did not pass since the surgery. I was baffled. They couldn’t tell me this when I made the appointment? Then the lady said “I am going to pull up the transcripts to see what was said and what happened during the appointment with the call center, but we have to cancel today. There seem to be some confusion. Frankly, the doctor most likely will not feel comfortable removing a plate that another doctor put in; there is a lot of complications that can happen, etc. and he would not have enough time to review your xrays today anyway. We need to review all the records before giving a second opinion“ I was stunned. I literally took my refunded copay receipt and left. Who does that? They completely wasted my time and didn’t even seem like they cared. I already had the appointment, why not see me and maybe put me at ease and guess what? If they could not do anything for another 5 months, so be it, but an experienced surgeon would know right away what the problem may be and at least advise. I cried all the way down in the elevator. I think I didn’t have energy to argue because I was in pain and I already feel defeated and helpless. That’s not the way to do business. Great dr!

You cannot do better. Kind, listens well, doesn’t rush to do surgery unless other options have been explored. I would send anyone I cared about to Dr. Wiedrich.

He's a genius.

Excellent doctor. Explains what is happening, what he sees, what treatment options are, and follow up.

Excellent knowledge paired with great demeanor and "bed side" manners. I had some nerve damage from a shoulder surgery and Dr. Wiedrich didn't candy coat anything but was optimistic, encouraging and very thorough in his helping with my condition. I've since referred numerous friends and family to him and they all agree that he is everything you want in a Doctor.

Dr. Wiedrich treated my hand injury from June of 2017 until August 2017 . During all visits, Dr. Wiedrich has been most professional, understanding and compassionate. His polite nature of explaining the diagnosis, suggested treatment and subsequent guidance to follow up therapy were appreciated and worked well with the healing. It has been very evident that his staff respects him a great deal, too. There is a wonderful harmony at the clinic, which provides for comfort to all, who visit with painful injuries and angst of what will be. Thank you Dr. Wiedrich. Dr Wiedrich is hands down one of the best doctors i have seen. He is professional and has an incredible bedside manner.

After a year and a half of misdiagnosis by 5 other upper extremity specialists who told me I had arthritis I was in constant pain couldn't eat dress myself or drive. Dr Wiedrich sent me for an ultrasound (I'd had 3 prior to coming to him) he immediately diagnosed tenosynovitis. He operated and found scarring that occurred from the lengthy non treatment. Surgery went smoothly I recovered the use of my hand and independence Thank God for Dr Wiedrich
