Thomas P Von Unrug

Dr. von Unrug has been my primary physician for several years and he has taken great care of my health. He is caring, practical and extremely knowledgeable. I am lucky to have found a doctor who provides such an exceptional quality of medical care. His staff is also cordial and easy to speak to. On several occasions I have called for a same day appointment and Esther has always been able to accommodate me. I can't sufficiently express how grateful I am for Dr. von Unrug and his staff.

Kind, caring, always ready to help and give you the best professional answer that you can get. Not many primary care physicians like him left!!

Every patient needs a doctor that listens. Dr von Unrug listens to his patients without interrupting and with a lot of empathy. He makes me feel better every time I have a visit.

An internist should not force patient to buy skin products, or non related merchandise. An internist is not a shopping Mall? As a medical doctor you should concentrate on saving life and choices best for patients NOT you or your wife? Your wife is causing major damage to your practice read all reviews Such a shame.

The best doctor ever! Bedside manner and the way he treats his patients is beyond exceptional. He cares. He will find answers and he will find a way to get you the treatment you need to get to feeling better. He has changed my life.

Dr. Von Unrug is the MOST patient physician, and is clear and concise in his diagnosis. He is the best doctor in Lexington, and I highly recommend him to anyone who needs a good doctor.

Dr. Von Unrug is THE BEST doctor I have ever had ! He is patient, knowledgeable, and is ALWAYS available to do the best for his patients. I just had a tele-help zoom call with him, and it is almost 8:00 p.m. He takes time for his patients, no matter what. He and his Wife were STILL at the office this late, helping their patients ! I couldn't believe it. He quickly diagnosed my problem, prescribed the best medication, and calmed my nerves. If you need a great physician, Dr. Von Unrug is the BEST. His office staff is SUPERB. They are caring and compassionate. I would give them 100 stars if I could !

After a number of years and many doctors trying to quell a persistent cough that no one could diagnosis much less suppress, we made an appointment with Dr Von Unrug. First of all, he introduced himself and then listened to my wife's concerns about her health. He took his time and after a most through examination ordered a few tests that eliminated most everything that her previous doctors treated her for. He discovered a condition concerning her lung that when breathing exercises were encouraged improved her lung capacity and reduced her coughing. While my wife is still plagued somewhat with her cough, Dr Von Unrug's treatment and choice of medications has diminished it's severity and her breathing has improved to such an extent that her activities have increased. She is back Living Life. Thank You Dr Von Unrug.

He is very thourough and always takes his time in answering any health questions I may have. He has a smile on his face and can tell funny jokes. He really takes an interest in improving the health of his patients.

Dr. VonUnrug is the most caring Doctor I have ever had the chance to meet. His understanding and treatment of his patients is remarkable. He takes time to listen and gives excellent advice and treatment for your medical problems. Would I recommend him to family and friends.....yes, in a heartbeat!

Is compassion to health issues. Does not explain solutions.

Treated my mother in the ER at St Joseph. Ordered too many unnecessary test. (she has great insurance)...had her admitted to "monitor overnight" when all test showed NO medical reason to do so. She had fallen...had the following done: CAT Scan, EKG, Chest X-ray, Leg X ray, Arm X-ray, Electrocardiogram, and Carotid Artery Duplex Doppler. Prescribed her loritabs & sleeping pills while there. She has dementia & the overnight stay was way too much stimulation. #why is there an Opiod problem

Billed services to my insurance that was NEVER rendered, then argued about it when I read the EOB and asked questions. Front office manager (his wife) is so rude! I don't see how the doc keeps any patient with her running the show.

I got the impression that he does not care about his patients and that it is all about making money. The wait times were usually 45 minutes. He scheduled me for expensive and unnecessary tests. I would not recommend.
