I have high regards for Dr Tighe-mainly for his skills in compassion and patient safety. When I had a concern about an ER visit Dr Tighe called me and discussed the case in detail for quite sometime and he even offered to give me his phone number to voice any other concerns I had. I have had multiple misdiagnosis after a surgical mishap and Dr Tighe has stood out among his peers in acknowledging errors in the system and simply offering an apology which goes a long way when there has been a misdiagnosis resulting in chronic pain. I wish doctors knew how a sincere 'I am sorry-how can we fix this' means to a patient. When a solution is offered it helps the patient feel that their voice might prevent reoccurrence of the event.
