I could have not asked for a better experience. They see you before and after a procedure so lots of opportunity to ask questions. Offered appointments were prompt and care was personalized. Procedural sedation was with propofol. Endoscopy equipment was state of the art using FUSE scopes. A Von Maur experience at JcPenny prices. I will be sending all my friends and relatives who are in need of a gastroenterologist to Dr. Schussler.

I have followed Dr. Schussler to Kettering from his previous 2 practices in Greater Cincinnati for my inflammatory bowel disease. I would not trust anyone else. I must say compared to his previous 2 hospital employed positions, private practice has made him much more accessible as he is not covering the hospital. He is the same caring listening gastroenterologist but it is clear private practice is his calling. I look forward to him caring for me for at least then next 20 years.

Amazing. A few of the reviews of Dr. Schussler on this site do not fit him at all. Just goes to show that people would rather complain and write a bad review rather then be interested in getting better. He listened, offered options in work up and treatment rather then telling me what to do. He is very knowledgeable and I would recommend him for any GI condition.

Horrible doctor! Extremely poor communication even after diagnosed with Gastroparesis, esophageal damage and diverticulosis, no follow up, recommendations for diet, AND incorrect reporting to insurance company which resulted in denial of claim. Communication on these serious conditions was left to office staff who gave “one word answers”. Promised to send information about diagnosis and never did. Absolutely the worst, most uncaring doctor I have ever seen in my 66 years!

Friendly, efficient. Could not get in to referred provider for 2 months. Dr. Schussler saw me same day, performed my procedure the next day and I had surgery 2 days later. Lucky I did not need chemotherapy. If it were not for his availability and I had waited 2 months not sure I would have been so lucky.

Dr. Schussler was very professional and explained things in detail about my condition and upcoming colonoscopy. I feel very confident with him doing my procedure.

Very happy with this physician. Answers questions, addresses my concerns and educates me, does not rush. Performed my colonoscopy well. He is with Mercy Hospitals now.

Told me he did not know what else to do for me and dismissed me. I went to another practice and within a week I found out I had celiac disease. This was after a year of losing weight and all the other symptoms. He did not even think of testing me for this. I am down to 113 lbs from about 134.
