Dr. Thomas Michael Mcgowan

I was seeing Dr. McGowan even before he opened his own practice. I moved to Arizona more than 6yrs ago & I cannot find a doctor who compares! I miss him terribly. Definitely the best in my book!

Dr. McGowan is a great doctor. He is a great listener, extremely helpful with any questions/concerns, and he has a way of making the "not so great things" seem better. I have already recommended him to friends/family.

I've been going to Doctor McGowan for a few years. He's always very attentive and listens to all of my concerns. He's very knowledgeable as well, and I always fell like I've received the absolute best care. Even after I've moved, I still drive the extra time to see him.

Dr. McGowan is easy to talk with listens and follows up on All our concerns. Listened to our daughters concerns who is a RN about our medical issues also. Very patient with both of us, never rushed. All his staff are always super friendly and helpful. We always recommend this Doctor to everyone we know.

Dr. McGowan is awesome! but hard to get an appointment with sometimes which is why I'm glad he has such great PA's!

I actually had a physical with Dr McGowan's Physician Assistant, Scott Heelan, recently. It was my first time using the practice and I was very impressed with the staff, the office, and the atmosphere. I am happy that the practice was recommended to me by a friend. It is easy to get an appointment and there is always a friendly voice on the other of the phone, whether it is to make an appointment, get information, or follow up with the staff. I feel like Mr Heelan really listened to me, addressed all of my concerns, and gave me a wealth of information about my health and well being. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a family practitioner in the Libertyville area.

The doctors are very knowledgeable and definitely want to help. I have no problems with the quality of care. The front office work, particularly billing and patient relations, are absolutely terrible, as you can see in many of the other reviews. While the doctors are quick to help, the rest of the staff is quick to blame problems on you, and not that they chose to bill the insurance company for as much as they could fit in on the same visit. Here is a note for Dr. McGowan - your patients can't change insurance companies as easily as they can change doctors. Until your front of house gets basic customer support training you will continue to hemmorage patients. Dr. McGowan has been our Family Doctor for years. We feel blessed to have found him. Best Doctor Ever!!

Dr. McGowan knows what he is doing period. He is extremely knowledgeable and always has his patient's best intrest in mind. I drive an hour to my appointments to this office because it is well worth the service and care.

I have been a patient of Dr. Thomas McGowan for over a year. He is a very good doctor & I'm very happy with him. He is a knowledgeable doctor & he takes the time to listen to you both in person & on the phone. I highly recommend him! The nurses & office staff are friendly also & I've had no problems with them.

Dr. McGowan is the best doctor I've ever had & I'm almost 74 years old. He's knowledgeable, patience, listens. I highly recommend him.

Dr. McGowan is not only down to earth but is a very patient and caring person on top of being an excellent Dr. I would highly recommend him. His PA Sandi is also highly recommended as well. Very knowledgeable and kind.

Been seeing Dr mcGowanfor the last 10or so years starting with when he was fresh out of school came over with him when he started his own private practice.he is awesome.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Mcgowan for years. He listens carefully and patiently. He doesn’t rush me out like other doctors have in the past. He answers my questions fully. Very happy demeanor and good sense of humor.

I have been seeing Dr. McGowen for over 15 years. I cannot say enough positive things about him. If you are in search of the best Dr. for you and your and your family search no further you will not be disappointed.

I have not been a patient for long, but Dr McGowan spent a really good amount of time at my new patient appointment, and reassured me that he likes to work with a patient to keep them healthy, rather than just being directive. I did have an emergency and was seen by the NP within an hour. I was super impressed by his thoroughness. He prescribed meds that I might need so that I wouldn't have to return while sick. This physician is terrific. He is smart and knowledgeable, caring and kind. His practice is very efficient and patient-friendly. The pt portal is an easy way to pick an appointment time, give and receive messages, and get test results. This MD is also down to earth, practical, and reasonable. Great guy.

Dr. McGowan is wonderful. He listens and doesn’t make you feel rushed. He responds to emails, via the portal, in a very timely manner. His nurse and physican assistants are awesome! Front desk staff not so much. They are not very responsive to answering the phone or returning messages and the reason I didn’t give 5 stars.

Best doctor I’ve ever experienced. Kind, compassionate and common sense all rolled into one.

He never talks down to me like many dr's have like I'm a moron , he actually cares , heck he even saw me on his lunch break 1 time, very little wait time and yet somehow he always takes as much time as needed per patient , in short best Doctor I ever had.

Excellent physician; he really cares about his patients. I’ve seen him since he started! Takes time to listen and understand....which patients need :-)

We have been seeing Dr McGowan for 15+ years and his relationship with each patient is so special, he listens to your concerns. Then he works with you to solve the issue, in such a way you also understand. To top it all off the office staff is always very helpful, he’s a keeper!

Dr. McGowen has bee our primary care physician for over 11 years now and he is the best! He is always very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and amazing with our 3 kids who have all been seeing him from birth.

Dr McGowan is not only the best doctor around, he is just a great guy! I have been going to him sense I was a young kid and he has always been great. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. McGowan is the best doctor that I have ever seen. I highly recommend him. If you want a warm, caring doctor who actually listens to you, he is the doctor to see. Trust me, you will be happy with him and the care that he provides.

Our family has been seeing Dr. McGowan for 13 years. He is a great family doctor. He listens to his patients and works with them. He is not condescending and is very caring. He is so great with our son and he is the only doctor that he trusts. He is amazing. Highly recommend.

I can not say enough. I have never had a doctor so caring and down to earth. I called the office and they got me in right away, turned out it was on his lunch hour. I love him!! I give him 10 stars!!!!!!!

Dr Mc Gowan is the best Doctor you can find. He listens to your questions and will keep working with you until you find a solution. I recommend him to all my friends and family.

Fantastic care! Dr McGowan is very caring & compassionate towards his patients. He always takes the time to listen and I never feel rushed. I have always had confidence in the care he has provided. He works with you on a plan that works best for you. He genuinely cares for his patients.

Dr. Mcgowan is a wonderful doctor. He actually looks you in the eye, asks you how you feel about various treatment options, cares about your concerns and then does his best with treatment Option in a way that can work best for you (because he listens) and your health so your sure to have quality & quantity of care that you can actually acheive or participate in.
