Horrible experience with the office staff and office manager. I have NEVER experienced so much unprofessionalism from a medical staff such as this one. They don't know the forms, processes, no manners, rude and downright hateful. On the other hand, Dr. Mastri is a very kind and knowledgeable physician. It is my hope that he would recognize that his staff does not exhibit the same standards as does he. I will not be taking my mother, who has dementia, back to the office. The doctor performed an endoscopy and found a problem, but I was unable to get a follow up appointment. A doctor’s motto “do no harm” is something Mastri has never heard of. I am very ill and have had to go to the ER for treatment as I wait for an appointment with another GI doctor from a different practice for follow up. This doctor is a disgrace to his profession and I am suffering as a result of his unprofessional attitude.

In spite of the Dr. Mastri’s instructions to follow up with him four weeks after he performed an endoscopy, I was unable to secure an appointment. The receptionist told me (in mid-November), there were no appointments available the rest of the year. The symptoms for which I originally saw the doctor have become worse and I’ve been quite ill, so much so that it required a visit to the ER. I’ve scheduled an appointment with another GI physician for follow up. I believe it’s irresponsible for a doctor to perform a procedure, discover a problem and not see the patient for follow up.

Staff was unprofessional and dismissive. I arrived for a colonoscopy only to be told I needed to pay about $2000 for a procedure that is 100% covered by my insurance. Office manager further informed me that I was out of network that's why a payment was required. Only to contact my insurance to find out that was completely INCORRECT. The other office manager ended up stating the information we were given at the Endoscopy Center was incorrect and a payment maybe have been needed for anesthesia which should have been a part of the preauthorization. What a complete waste of time! I didn't get a colonoscopy today although I did all the prep for the medication and liquid diet, to be turned away for payment.

Dr. Mastri has cared for my family since 2009. Dr. Mastri is amazing. My wife and I are due for a colonoscopy and had an appointment for 2:30 PM and 3 PM on August 27. On the 27th, the Office Manager said only one of us had an appointment. In the process, she was rude and unprofessional. We left, saying that we’d reschedule. Today, Sept 11, I called the office and asked that the Doctor call me back as I wanted to make sure that the staff would not be an issue with my treatment and care. The Receptionist ignored me and transferred me to the Office Manager. I said that I didn't want to speak to the staff because I didn't trust them. I wanted to speak to the Doctor. The Manager said, "How about you speak to nobody. How's that?" She then hung up. By this action, she proved all of my claims correct. By denying me access to the doctor she is denying me medical care and endangering my health and safety.

Overall an outstanding experience, from the front desk to seeing Dr. Mastri, all aspects of the process exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend Dr. Mastri and his office.

He was polite professional and very informative of procedure. The staff is wonderful too.

Dr. Mastri is a brilliant Gastroenterologist that doesn't take symptoms at face value. He takes the time to do the research and work required to genuinely find the problems to property treat his patients wile always displaying care and respect for them. I highly recommend Dr. Mastri to all my friends and family.

I was a patient of Dr. Mastri's for years. I got diagnosed with Crohn's Disease at 19 years old. Dr. Mastri himself is a great doctor, he was really there for me through the toughest times in my life. I had 2 obstructed bowel surgeries and I was so scared that I was going to die and leave my kids. He helped comfort me, I suggest to people to ask for him in the hospital, so they can just deal with the doctor only, but never ever EVER go to his office. The lady who answers the phones, and the people that work for him are unprofessional, rude, nasty, uncaring, and disrespectful. I was a patient of Dr. Mastri's for years. First off I showed up early for my appt, and had to wait about 45 minutes before I saw anyone. Second I asked for a prescription for an ulcer medication, which they forgot to call in. When I called them about it they told me I would have to wait 5-7 days to actually get it sent to the pharmacy, because they are "specialist". I would avoid this practice. Poor customer service, complete lack of compassion. I recommended another practice.

You will wait at least 1 hour past your designated appointment time, you can only see an actual Dr. after seeing the PA. They will order every test imaginable. After finding no results Dr. Mastri wanted to do an endoscopy (which I suggested they do at the same time as the colonoscopy but they refused.) I was grossly overcharged for my copay. (I waited 6 weeks to be reimbursed.) I will NEVER go to this practice again. I expressed all of these concerns directly to Dr. Mastri to no avail.

Was referred to review abdominal CT scan done because of high bilirubin levels. Made appointment with Dr. Mastri 3? weeks in advance. Arrived early (with broken hip) and advised staff that I had previously had a colonoscopy by one of his partners. They gave me forms to fill out, made me wait an hour, then told me doctor would not see me because their policy was that a patient could not see more than one of their doctors. They never asked if I had been there before when I made the appointment
