Thomas J Haberkamp

I was a patient of Dr. Haberkamp when he was at Rush Medical Center in Chicago. I was having severe episodes of vertigo and no one was able to help me until I found Dr. Haberkamp. He immediately put me at ease, and his gentle and caring manner, as well as his being up to date on all the newest technologies and medications, really put my mind at ease. He has a vast wealth of knowledge and experience and I can't say enough great things about him. Even to this day, he is the best doctor I have ever had. I once half jokingly told him that I wish he was my doctor for everything, and he laughed and said he would have been in school for a very long time. After being in remission for more than a year, my Menniere’s disease came back with a vengeance. I was truly frightened of my symptoms this time. This is the first time I met Dr. Haberkamp. I cannot say enough great things about him. He spent so much time talking with me. He was kind,compassionate and caring. He explained everything in detail to me and was so reassuring. I trust him completely and I recommend him highly. So very grateful to him.

Really good doctor. Great at prescribing vestibular nerve therapy with Buskirk. Very good with deaf patients as seen on TV. Great at diagnosis. Very knowledgeable doctor. GOOD doctor would recommend to other patients. Thomas is intelligent in his field of study. I feel he knows what he is doing. Dr. Haberkamp was very nice at first. But he must be a mentalist. Did not look in my nose or ears once in 2 meetings. Said I have an issue, did not explain what it is or the cause. Offered one medicine I cannot take, and had no referrals or suggestions for who to see next. Wouldn't mind if he didn't waste another 4 months of my insurance premiums waiting to get back in to see him. I would avoid working with him. This is the nice version of my review.

Dr. Haberkamp has been working with me for 4-5 years on middle ear issues. I cannot say enough positive things about him. His sincere care, his deligence and eventual surgery to remove the middle ear was fantastic. The radical decision took time and patience and with his guidance got the result I needed. He is a fantastic doctor and would recommend him for inner ear issues.

In June of 1990 and again in January of 1912 Dr. Haberkamp did stapedectomies on each of my ears, due to Otosclerosis that was causing a hearing loss. I was only in my 30's. He was so patient, taking his time to explain everything to me. After the first surgery, even though he said it could take up to 6 weeks before I could notice a change, I could hear better immediately, and it only got better. The second surgery was also very successful. Once we moved to Arizona in 1999, I hadn't had a hearing check up until 2 years ago. I have noticed a slow loss of hearing for a few years ago. The ENT I saw, who is highly rated, was amazed at how well my hearing was for having the prosthetics in for so long, He was very impressed by the surgeon who had done them. I am in my mid-sixties and do need either hearing aids or cochlear implants, but I couldn't have been happier with Dr. Haberkamp and the results of my hearing improvement. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO REASON UNDER THE SON FOR ME TO REFER ANYONE WHOM I CARE ABOUT AND HAD EAR ISSUES, I WOULD NEVER EVEN MENTION THE MAN'S NAME. I INITIALLY WENT TO SEE HIM AT THE INSISTANCE OF MY ENT OF OVER 30 YEARS, DR. RICHARD B. FREEMAN, MD, Ph.D. I WAS TREATED SO HORRIBLY THAT I HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO LEAVE. EACH APPOINTMENT REQUIRED ME TO WAIT AN AVERAGE OF 3-5 HOURS. I WOULD HAVE TO BE THERE FOR AUDIOLOGY. THE WORST PART IS THAT I AM ALMOST 90% DEAF AND AM UNABLE TO LOCATE OTOLOGISTS.
