About Thomas J. Curfman
Reviews for Thomas J. Curfman
Doesn’t seem willing to get to the root cause of your symptoms. Will make you wait months just to order tests. I drove about an hour away just to be seen by him, only for him to try to minimize my symptoms in front of an intern. No one has years to waste to get back to living life while he just collects a paycheck and attempts to look cute for an intern. My symptoms affect my life daily and I still don’t have answers or any orders put in for testing. Do not go to this neurologist unless you enjoy your time being wasted. Advocate for yourself and by all means document everything at your appointments because doctors continuously will push you off over and over especially if you are a person of color.
He didn't listen to me when I was trying to tell what I was experiencing. I read his reviews on my chart and sounded like he sW a totally different person. I would not recommend him to anyone.
He said it was stress. It actually was vitamin b6 toxicity and not stress. Since he said stress I now have to do physical therapy and meds to help with my arm weakness. The vitamin b6 toxicity caused nerve damage leaving my left arm weak and numb at times. He needs to go back to school and not say everything is stress. He is very rude and wouldn't listen. He thinks he is a know it all. I suggest you find a different neurologist. Don't waste your time or money. He said it was stress. It actually was vitamin b6 toxicity and not stress. Wouldn't listen to anything I said. Now I have nerve damage in my arm from him not willing to let me speak. I actually had vitamin b6 toxicity. I hope because of his "I KNOW IT ALL" attitude I don't lose all function in my arm.
Doesn't let his patients speak. A real butt. Don't recommend.

I had my initial first visit with Dr. Curfman. I was very pleased. I felt he and his staff are kind, caring and knowledgeable. All my questions were answered and concerns were met and I felt I had a very good visit. I feel I am in excellent care with Dr. Curfman.
Waited 8 months to see him. At my appointment he says he hasn't even read my medical records!! Looked at me and had me walk in a straight line then says he can't help me!!?? Wasted 8 months when I could have been looking for another doctor who would at least look at the medical records.
Excellent care.
Rude and unwilling to listen. I even brought my diagnosis papers from another doctor for him to look at and he refused to read over it.
He recorded me but pushed medication on me. Wanted to see how the meds worked on my liver but not me.

Saw my husband more than year ago for Parkinson. Went over everything with us. Took almost an hour to talk with us and explain it to him and me. Gave lots if information and was very encouraging to both of us.
Dr Curfman was polite and attentive for us. I have a young man with complex neurological and medical issues. Parkview does not have a specialist to meet his needs but Dr Curfman stepped up to the Plate and is working with us so we are not without a Doctor. We have had no problems with him or him or his staff.
He didn't listen to me when I tried to explain what was going on. I had a reverse reaction to gabapentin which came on suddenly after increasing the dose. I began sighing constantly & was so "hyped," I couldn't sit down even after quickly titrating off the med. I told Dr. C I was not usually an anxious person. He said, “What do you mean, you’re not anxious! Look at you!" I found him to be very condescending & haughty. I couldn't get a proper diagnosis as he didn't consider my symptoms valid
Never listened to my concerns. Arrogant. Self-serving. Diagnosed me but never followed up with any of my concerns. Kept pushing drugs instead of addressing. Left me in the room crying. Won’t go back ever. If you want a Dr. with an ego that doesn’t listen. He’s your Doctor.
