Dr. Thomas Paul Chu

I have lived in multiple states over the years. Always problems with skin cancer in Florida, Arizona, Texas and other states. I have never found a dermatologist as good as Dr. Thomas Chu. I have been cut on and scared by doctors in multiple states. I will fly or drive back to Dr. Thomas Chu from now on! Amazing doctor that has taken great care of my family members in the Memphis area for years!!! Thank you Dr. Chu and staff!!!

Dr Chu keeps things quick, simple, and 100% honest. I've been seeing him since high school. He has helped me with various issues over the years.

I asked Dr. Chu to look at a new and rapidly growing spot on my face and he pretty much refused. It did have some warning signs of skin cancer, but he didn’t listen when I tried to tell him. I went to a different dermatologist who biopsied it and it is skin cancer. This was very upsetting to me. Maybe he was having a bad day, but his demeanor was rude, upsetting, and insulting. I will not be going back.

My dad had a lot of skin cancer and Dr. Chu worked on him for at least 25 years. He passed away at 93. I have been going for about 15 years. Dr. Chu does a great job. For people like me who have significant skin cancer issues and require occassional Mohs surgery it is so nice to have a dermatologist who is also a highly qualified plastic surgeon which greatly minimizes scarring. He tells you like it is. It is up to you to take it seriously. I VERY highly recommend him.

This guy told my girlfriend that it would be a very simple procedure, but it wasn’t he actually caused her a lot of pain and didn’t seem to be concerned about it. She asked to be put asleep during the procedure, but he denied her that. We’re never coming back and we will probably sue!

Dr Chu and his entire staff provided me with the best quality care and procedures. During the summer of 2020 I had to undergo two separate surgical procedures on my face for skin cancer. I was very concerned about the work to be done. Dr Chu and his staff tried to alleviate all of my fears. Their concern and compassion were extraordinary. They were kind and empathetic. Their skills in caring were matched if not exceeded by Dr Chu's expertise in workmanship. The skin cancer was removed and the results of the surgery are almost non-detectable. I couldn't have been happier with the treatment I received there and I would never hesitate to go back. I would recommend Dr Chu for all of my family and friends. Some of the other ratings and remarks that are disparaging are in no way indicative of anyone I ever came into contact with nor reflective of any iota of service I received from Dr Chu and his excellent staff. I've been to plenty of doctors. I wish they could all be Dr Chu's.

I had a keloid on the top left of ear from a piercing that had been treated by several doctors but didn't stay away/gone. Dr.Chu removed the keloid and it has now been gone for officially 18 years you can't tell that the huge bubblegum ball ever existed. I most definitely would highly recommend him.

Went to Dr. Chu to have rosacea cleaned up on my nose. He showed me power point pictures of the work that he could do. He also explained that this process would give me a pink nose for a couple of months and that would be it. I went back today for my last appointment (8 months later) I have a nose that is all scars and nostrils that go half way up my nose. This guy totally messed me up. I give him a 1 star because I had no choose. Also staff tried to charge me 40.00 for each of my last 2 visits even thu all was payed up front. Went to Dr. Chu to have rosacea cleaned up on my nose. Amazing office and staff!!!

Very rude staff. I was a patient years ago, when I moved back to town I called to make an appointment, the girl on the phone was so rude I decided to take my business elsewhere. There are too many good doctors, go somewhere else.

Dr Chu and his staff were extremely helpful, from making the appointment thru the actual (skin cancer) procedure. Dr Chu took time to make sure that all my questions were answered and in making sure I understood next steps. He made a scary situation more comfortable.

Messed my skin up

Been going to Dr Chu 20 years. He is by far the best

I have hypo ( no treatment for) and hyper pigmentation with scarring after his laser resurfacing. He proclaimed his expertise and successes, offered me no solution. Dismissed my results as a small percentage of his failures

In addition to his comprehensive knowledge of dermatology/aesthetics/cosmetic surgery,Dr Chu is at forefront of technology.He has 13-14 lasers plus other devices to perform a wide variety of treatments.He invests money & time learning, acquiring & maintaining his arsenal of equipment.He used the new PicoSure laser to treat dark spots on my skin.At followup he so generously re-treated my many sun-damaged areas at no charge to ensure excellent results & a happy patient. It worked!Highly recommend!
