This doctor did a hysterectomy with removal of ovaries in 1997. I was 46 at the time. There were things I didn't want done but he had me convinced I had ovarian cancer which I did not have. Never told me I would have immediate menopause and when I left the hospital he didn't even have me on hormones. I had insomnia, hot flashes, extreme mood swings, the works. When I called complaining of these things he told me I should see a psychologist because in all his years of practice he hadn't had anyone experience insomnia. What an idiot! These were all symptoms that go along with having your ovaries removed! I do not recommend him.

It was a benign disease. Sure, I signed a consent but he should never have removed my ovaries. I didn't know that I would have immediate menopause symptoms. I had insomnia, hot flashes, irritability, and mood swings. He didn't even put me on hormones until I called complaining about the symptoms.
