Hip replaced 5 years ago. Excellent outcome! I will ski over 100 days this season on the hip. Non pain!

I couldn't be happier with the outcome of my knee replacement. I was so nervous and didn,t really know what to expect. It has been 4 months since my surgery and I feel great and honestly never think about it or feel any discomfort as I go about my daily. It hasn't stopped me from enjoying the things I like to do. Dr. Calton was amazing. He was always informative, friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend him to anyone considering a knee replacement. Holly Knudson

Dr Carlton replaced my right knee 5 or 6 years ago. I was amazed at the ease of recovery and attained full range of motion within 2 weeks. I have highly recommended him to folks all over the country. Now, it's time to replace the left knee and wouldn't consider anyone but Dr Carlton to do it. I'm looking forward to having full mobility again and returning to hiking and other activities.

Following instructions, doing your exercises / Physical Therapy, icing, elevation, pushing through the discomfort. As they can’t do it for you, I’m not saying there won’t be days of discomfort, discouragement and some tears. But each day is a new day to travel that road to success, to put forth the work. Each day brings ease of movement when you follow the instructions given. Dr Calton and his staff have put me on the path, have given me the tools to reach my goal. Now it’s up to me, to do my part, so l can enjoy, participate and do things in life, again. UPDATE:: 1/ 17/23 Just went in for my 6 week follow up and l’m doing great . Walking well without a cane, in fact haven’t used one for the last 6 weeks. I can lift my knees up to my chest, straighten them completely, bend them back with no difficulty, no pain when standing for long periods of time. Recently had my 5 yr old grandson stay with us for 5 days. l could do things with him without pain, even went to the movies sat through the entire movie without having to shift or stand or wish this show would hurry an end due to pain. I’m looking forward to getting out and do things once again. I can’t thank Dr Calton and his staff enough for their superb care, kindness and knowledge. Dr Calton has a great bedside manner , very personable, and easy to talk with. We just left the base to go pick something up at the union office. My husband told them l had both knees done and doing great. They asked him who was the Dr as they get asked frequently for recommendations, well he didn’t hesitate to get them his info. He is definitely the best and an expert in knees and hips. Thanks again to all of them, your the best.

Dr Calton was highly recommended to me. I now can see why. He was very skilled, informative, kind, and supportive. Doctor Calton is and has been very thorough in his care preparing for and during the preparation, surgery process, and after care. I appreciate his philosophy that the patient is top priority and how he takes time to listen to and answer any and all questions during my visits. I appreciated his follow through on his own time and checking in to see how I was doing, post surgery. The staff have been very patient and attentive in answering questions and phone calls between visits. Everyone has been responsive to requests and concerns during all parts of my car. I have been treated with the utmost care and respect in all interactions with Elevate Surgical in all aspects of care during my time with them. Thank you Dr. Carlton for your excellent care and expertise. I opted to have the Mako Robotic assist for both of my total knee replacements. I think it has made my recovery much quicker and easier. Dr Colton is the best He did 2 knee replacements in one surgery I now have great functioning knees I heard there was a issue with Intermoutain hospital ( who doesn’t have issues with IHC) Good heck they named the clinic after him. Dr.s should be able to select their own staff!!!!! I would go back to dr Colton. However, I only have two knees. Strong Recommendation from me ! Dr Calton is a true professional at the top of his game. I can't imagine going anywhere else for knees or hips. He's replaced both my knees, both are working as well as I could have hoped. I'm riding bikes and skiing again. When I started having hip issues, no one else was even considered. If you want the best, go see Tom.

Dr Calton walked into the room wearing a blig smile . He sat down and answered my every question. I felt that he had all of the time in the world to answer my every question. His enthusiasm was catching… I left excited to think I would soon be pain free!

Dr. Calton is just wonderful. He is very confident, without being arrogant, and his confidence puts me at ease with a major surgery such as a hip replacement. He did one for me 10 years ago and now the other side needs to be replaced. I'm still concerned about the "out-patient" procedure used now, but most people are doing well, so we will see. Knowledgeable, excellent surgeon. I would recommend him to anybody!

Dr. Calton is the perfect surgeon for knee joint replacement. He has the perfect personality for a Dr. He is kind, caring and the best Dr to patient relationship ever. From the moment I met him it was like an old friend. I had done a lot of research on joint replacement surgeons because I knew I needed something done so I could live my life free of the pain I was having in my right knee. During my research, and talking to others who had had knee replacement surgery, Dr Calton’s name always came up at the top of the list. I am 5 weeks out from surgery and can’t believe it. I am walking 1 mile, climbing 22 steps up and down (3 times per day) and riding a stationary bike daily. All is well with my new knee and I can’t begin to thank Dr. Calton enough. Tom Calton is the best knee and hip surgeon available today. He has done both of my knees and a hip and I have never had any problems since the surgeries.

I appreciated the attention to detail and the clear assessment by Dr. Calton that I was not in need of an arthroscopy as prescribed by another physician. Dr Carlton did my left knee 4 years ago. He did such a good job. I was back to work and moving around in two week so when I needed to do my right knee I went back to him. He is very personable and fun to talk to. He answers all your questions and makes you feel at ease. You know you can trust him and he will do a great job. His bed side manners are great. I felt that I had nothing to worry about and I was in great hands. I plan on being back to work in two weeks again. I'm so pleased with Dr. Calton pleasant attitude toward me and his direct answers to my questions. Three months later we feel that I'm way ahead of schedule and to get into serious bike riding, stretching and the like. My knee still hurts, swells which makes it sometimes very painful!! The “new knee” moves around a LOT!!! I went to another surgeon who said the only way to fix it would be to redo it and tighten the liniments!! REALLY??!! Dr. Calton is also very arrogant, when I went in for the final post op... he was trying to debate religion... that he no longer belonged to and why. I finally had to say... I just want you to look at my knee so I can leave!!!!! I have had friends that have got their knee replaced with other surgeons and have been very satisfied and happy. Many because they were told to do PT... but nor Dr. Calton, just figure it out with the hand out given to me after surgery. NOT IMPRESSED!! Would not recommend Dr Calton!! Dr Calton replaced my hip a few years ago. It was such a great experience, I was home from the hospital and walking without pain by dinner time the same day, and the healing went really fast after that. I'm grateful for his skill and care.
