I can’t say enough great things about this Doctor and his staff. They have been nothing but professional and so caring. They took me in when I moved here a few years back, and have treated me since then. Dr. Atkinson, his wife Peggy, and Debbie have always been so considerate, always listen, and if they aren’t available they are always prompt in returning my phone calls, Thanks so much to all of you! Have been using Tom since 1999. He has been treating my Fibromyalgia, something many doctors told me was all in my head. He has relieved my pain. I am not additicted!! Tom is very careful with the use of pain killers. To all those who put him down it must be because he won't give you what you want. Thanks Tom for all you do. Multiple of my friends relapsed over and over while seeing Dr. Atkinson. He make you pay a high price for a script and then get the hell out. Go to Stockton Medical Group for a real recovery.

Dr. Atkinson was my doctor for many years. He genuinely cared about my health and well-being. He and his staff all treated me well. I was a pain patient, and yes; at times he had to lower my meds. Laws must be followed. I witnessed how patients treated him and his staff and it was awful. Wonderful doctor, very knowledgeable, understanding and honest. If you need a great addiction doctor, go see him, you won't be disappointed.

In it for the money only. He has really made alot of difficulty for people with other treatment options. A wolf in sheep's clothing. Too bad people go to see this Dr. only to get hooked on Suboxone. Not recommended.

saved my life

I have been a patient of Dr Atkinson for 8 years. From the 1st appointment to present day he has shown nothing but care and compassion not only for me but for my family as well. Dr Atkinson and staff are there to make a difference in their patients lives, not collect your cash and write a script. If you want a Dr to sugarcoat your situation this is not the place for you. Because of Dr Atkinson, Penny and Debbie, I am living a much better life today than the road I was headed down 8 years ago.

Dr. Atkinson and his wife are disgusting people. I'll always remember them for their pure hatefulness. I worked there briefly and was incredibly happy to get the hell out of there. They are bad people, plain and simple.

Dr. Atkinson is a brilliant diagnostician and I trust him completely. He has helped every member of my family with addiction and other health issues and is truly a life saver. Ignore these other mean comments!!

Suboxone will not help you get off opiates, you will only become a slave to this pharmaceutical just as you are to the one you are trying to escape. Dr. Atkinson is nothing more than a licensed drug dealer that cares little more for your health than crooks on the street. He is concerned with money in his pocket. If you are desperate and truly desire freedom from addiction, look into ibogaine treatments outside of the U.S. It is the ONLY thing that ended my 4 year nightmare of addiction virtually over night. Dr. Atkinson has been my doctor since I was 12 and has known me since I was 3. I refuse to see anyone but him for anything medical. He is the best at what he does and is the complete opposite of a "pill pusher"! He has and will never lower his standards for a quick dollar. When I seen dr Atkinson several times over my alcoholism. He is a sincere, no nonsense, easy to talk to and when looks into your eyes you can tell he really cares about what your going though.

Dr. Atkinson saved my daughter's life. He speaks from experience and he has helped so many people. He certainly is not in it for the money and he knows exactly how to help people. We have been to several accredited rehab facilities. All they do is write prescriptions and take her money. We love Dr. Atkinson and his wife Penny and office manager Debbie. They truly care. But if you don't want the truth, don't go there. You have to want to help yourself. He can't do it for you. He's the best!

Real doctors, like the ones at Johns Hopkins University, state that Kratom, the plant this doctor pushed to get banned, demonstrates a superb safety profile and is very useful at getting people off prescription drugs, possibly better than dangerous drugs like Suboxone, without the dangerous respiratory depression. My anxiety treatment threatened his business of prescribing methadone to opiate addicts (kratom treats addiction) so he filed a request for it to be scheduled. Dr. Atkinson has a very myopic view of people and medicine. He treats his patients with methadone and suboxone (highly addictive prescription drugs) yet is responsible for banning Kratom, an herbal supplement with a wide-scope of treatment applications. He has limited the treatment options for the entire state of Arkansas. Since he mostly treats addicts/recovering addicts he views people taking herbal supplements as trying to get high. He sees addiction pathology everywhere he looks.

I worked as a paid Firefighter - E.M.T. , I broke my back 12 yrs. ago underwent several major back surgeries. I was in severe pain 24 hrs. a day with NO RELIEF! ! I went to several doctors with little pain relief. I made an appointment with Dr. Tom and Penny and from that day on he has worked with me and now my pain level is bearable.
