Dr. Aronson is a gas lighter. He consistently misdiagnosed me, and putting me on cocktails of strong psychiatric medicines, leaving me shaking and at times catatonic like. He was so quick to by pass me and go straight to my parents with next to little to no information on giving me ECT treatments. He only apparently gave the positives which it has left me with severe migraines, memory gaps (some memory has been erased completely) a dumbed down, not being able to recognize my own face in the mirror, not as sharp I.Q and the worst of all..the whole experience left me diagnosed with PTSD. After finally convincing my parents (mixed with how they saw I was being mis-treated and changing in front of their eyes) Ive become a different more serious, raw and non trusting young woman. When I stopped seeing him, he called one day and I confronted him, asking if he would have put his own sons into ECT procedures as quickly and wrong as his advertising of ECT was. He all of a sudden became extremely quiet and said nothing and went silent. This was in 2016 and I'm still worse off with all the listed side effects that haunt me to this day. I would sue if it wasn’t for my mother signing the release forms plus I’ve heard others try and find the court to be intrusive and treatment of you for being a psychiatric patient, is less than of pig. It’s a disgusting, painful (mentally, emotionally and physically) antiquated and barberic thing to do to a human being and don’t expect your to come out on the other side of this procedure the same especially, not better but been suicidal. It ruined me, he ruined me. I Hate this man, he’s dangerous and uncaring. Also, being a young girl i always felt as though he was a little too flirtatious during our appointments. Disgusting.

After 2 years of Dr Aronson not hearing my calls of no calming presence in my body. He refused to be aggressive. I left for another Dr. He couldn't even send over info for the 2 years. What a joke. Very poor follow up in office. Secretary is from 1950. Very antiquated.

Saved my life. Willing to try treatments other doctors could not be bothered with. Really listens, great with medications.

I was his patient for 2 yrs I had BPD, but immediately he ignored tat diagnosis, & misdiagnosed me more than once,treating me w/cocktails of strong drugs in high dosages, I bcame dead inside,but the permanent scaring was wen he sent me over 14 times,thru ECT it was a nightmare & he left out the severity & negative effects..I trusted him & a yr later I'm now dealing w/PTSD, Psycosis & missing gaps of my life. Wen i finally spoke up, he actually slipped, saying he would never put his son thru ECT

Yes, I have seen Dr. Aronson. I too practice in the psychiatry field. My husband also an MD. An interaction with a patient treated by Dr. A inspired this review. Dr. Aronson is a capable diagnostician. But,patients are reduced to a psychiatric diagnosis, bypassing the complex human condition. I saw no interest in my life. He clock watches. His demeanor, perfunctory, empathy appears lacking. Therapy was not suggested as an adjunct to medical treatment.An M.D. who should teach or research.

After going to another doctor(?) and being sent to the hospital for a wasted week I was told to see Dr. Aronson because he was the best. Well he saved my life. That's the best you can get
